What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Gnirf replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
well personal best w 7 kills in Chikuma and 89 K is not so bad at T2, needed some seals after two fiasco rounds, and Chikuma is an excellent sealclubber w good guns for her tier -
well if you do not want the easy way, but the hard way it is up to ypu, I have started to use Co-op for missions where separate demands are very unbalanced as I want the maximum time for the last two. So here where the 400 hits was over soon and I have reached minimal up on the RU stage for many battles, I gave in. The 125 K was later however done in a ship I would not have expected Neptune which I have not performed greatly in, so now it is the final thing, have reached Top 2 several times, but it is the sink 2 BBs that have eluded me, so far only 1 BB but it is early days.

..aaand Hood first week official results are out...
Gnirf replied to 22cm's topic in General Discussion
You are not alone, Hoods speed have made me overextend a few times and having to do 180 degrees is not so fun, however her utility can be great in situations where her speed ables her to redeploy, I have done a number of games and varied between say 30 to 110+ damage, she is lethal when top tier, struggles in T9 matches but that does most T7 and she does have the speed at least to withdraw, Colorado and even Nagato does not. So far I found her balanced. So her great asset in her speed can lead to her undoing, but that is up to the player to use it wisely, Do not see her as extra fragile, apart from her size and her mediocre long range AA, have killed lots of divebombers though, but I have payed for it in damage, higher tier CV players can be nasty and torp drops costly, there the Colorado is far more agile. So Hood let me have both poor, fair and good games and it feels that you have more personal influence over the game rather than with a Colorado and to a lesser degree Nagato where once you are commited you sort of stay there and fight it out. I am sure you learn to handle Hood to become a useful asset in your port, if you want to. Feels like the spread performancewise in the games are higher than the other ships. -
Few Thoughts on Cruiser Vs. Battleship balance at High tiers.
Gnirf replied to Kazomir's topic in General Discussion
Main problem is that is nearly always is 5 BBs /side. True that some games like that is OK but not all. -
COTE was tough yes, but managed to fix the Bismarck campaign (10 missions or so left but the end prize is there), so now I will be playing less for some weeks perhaps 1-2 hours a day or so+ a few long playing sessions on 4-5 hours. It is after all the best time for my bike also the coming months so I will be far more outdoors. I also managed to grind to T7 in French cruisers and they are OK but not inducing extra play. Now I want RN BBs but it can wait 3 months or so.

One tip to those who wants the Russian 100000 dmg: After I have played 10 random games or so for the third stage, several without Ru ships I were at around 14 K or something. Reading here I changed to coop. I used my Nikolai it worked excellent in CO-OP 3 games for the 86 K that remained (helped by some Svetlanas also), So for those of you who has Nikolai I recommend that ship. At these low tiers there are probably less competition. I want maximum time for the two remaining missions.

Well 12 vs 12 Mikasas would be fun, I know that this has beem done and are on Youtube so I would love to try
-
Well it have happened to me 5-10 times during 11000 games spread during the career, a few times I have been able to find time to restart and everything a few times like you just in time to watch the sinking sequence. The best thing to do is probably steer out away from enemy in a direction without island and max speed. Simply hope that this buys enough time to restart your program.

Naturally the reason was a calculation of the benefits was reasonably enough to buy Hood largest bundle which I did also. F2P players with lots of time and no/less money will wait or players with other calculation time vs money will think otherwise. . It is strange how many people seems to forget that when you decide what package you will get. I did not even used the Hood until I have completed the campaign because I wanted to see the difficulty without.it. -
True that situation is when it can occur. Preferably in the end of game where one can survive the rest of game by passivity (Your team is well in front so you are not needed).

Auxiliary Armament Modification 1 - What's the use of this upgrade?
Gnirf replied to Mydgard's topic in General Discussion
I am not sure but I think it increases the hit points/threshold with 100 %. Say that you have 2000 Base hit points - you now have double. Therefor you can take 100% more damage though I may have misunderstand this Edit: 2nd on the ball -

But it is different markets. First of all you wil get more XP in a T7 BB, and Hood is faster, I am not sure whether she is good - I would say she is rather OK, but the tactical possibilities are at least higher in Hood where Warspite struggles. But apart from that - of course I as an Warship enthusiast from a Neutral country are far more interested in one of the most well known battleships, than many other premiums, for me it is enough that Hood is ok. Warspite is of course well known too, have all the RN ships, but compared with others and if you can afford and take advantage of it there be even quicker captain grind with several premium and first win bonuses. Kutuzov f.e. may be performing as hell gamewise but does not have appeal to me, it is pixels regardless if its T6 7 or 8. Sure a higher tier or OP ship has its value, but the appeal is there in some ships not in others. A gamer (You?) might have use of your arguments - I put less value in them. The bundle was expensive but appealing to those with more money than time. I agree that a lower prized bundle should be accesible, but nevertheless I bought the expensive packet, for me with some High tier grinding is the flags very useful. And also now with all the tech trees the incentives both for WG and the players are increasing for supereffective flags. When I started in oct 2015 the tree was limited compared with now, after 5-6 months of causal play without investing much I started a wide across the board grinding (not CVs) and are now up on T9-10 in most types apart from Cvs German DDs and French, by pure grinding and buying lots of premium ships and time. Can not contemplate what effort it woukd be to start now, so economic flags and freeXP conversions are probably things that will have an increasing demand that eases the grind. But I realize that I may be if not a dream customer, at least the step below so I am easily persuaded -
To complete the mission to Bismarck took 135 games - and I did not use my Hood and also did not play optimally - never repeated anything and also played lots of T5 - T7 50/63 tasks made, now I will try to finish the leftovers including the Hood missions. May have to leave the Cvs , hate CV play.
-
They are one Hood mission per stage - you are required to use Hood. It is shown in the standard mission among the other tasks on each stage.

I think the ships seems rather OK. But if they repeat the Santas gifts you might get it then.

Wanted to complete with exact statistics after 10995 Battles: Clear sky 0 (do not have more than a handful of CV-games) Solo Warrior 2 ( 1 in Kawachi) Unsinkable 3 (I do not deliberately let my ship flood so this can be manipulated) Witherer 5 (it is necessary to play higher tier flamethrowers all 5 have come since I reached T8 in the Russian cruiser line (Chapayev) - have since reached it in both Ishizuchi and La Galissonaire.) Die Hard 9 Liquidator 21 - all these are random events I suppose only Witherer by playing some ships where you have a greater chance of fires + enemy ships that have a large healthpool Comparing with f.e. Kraken 93 or High Caliber 154 not that these figures are great but it is an interesting comparison..

They are cashed in automatically w 10000 credits

Are you absolutely certain that you were still in the smoke cloud ? It is easy if one not brings the smoke on in somewhat above half speed that you move out? I have when I am in a ittle panic situation triggered the smoke cloud too fast with the RN smoke with predictable results. That is one plausible explanation at least.
-
You can not use all statistics which are shown her, relevant is the latest week or so. The stats look very good, but Hood is probably not the average player atm besides you have a 12 pt captain in it fully researched ship etc. No stock games and 0 p captains drag it down or old plays in a different META, todays BB population vs old META 12 months ago etc

Most Liquidators come in low tiers against BBs that do not have premium DCP. Problem is of course they get focused of fire from others and myself later. But they are very far between. Higher tiers can not remember more than 1 or maybe 2.
-
Well I bought the package. It might seem strange to you but the flags are of large value to these who puts a premium or time - It is P4C = Pay for convinience. 12-pt captain also for the forthcoming RN line. I respect those players who have more time than money but WG is no different than other entities. Somehow the finance must come to development and so forth - Look at Apple with their pricing - yet they are praised buy a large community. I hate them of course - overprized with poor quality products where every failure is fault of the owner.

My Die Hard has been on low tiers when you have had a cruiser or BB and just ran over a DD. It is just situational but at low tiers the distance is so close and the DDs charge suicidal so ramming is a viable option sometimes.
-
Clear sky I still miss but I do not play Cvs either, apart from a handful of games. Witherer took very long but know I have recieved a few. Solo warrior i have 4 or something like that (have even got in my Kawachi). Dreadnoughts are very common nowadays, get it a lot in the RN Cruisers also which have increased the frequency. The use of premium consumables have risen that amount a lot, Better management also of repair/dcp. Unlock missions? You are maybe confusing it with the mission in the older campaigns. Nevertheless you can repeat the missions for pins.
-
Dont exchange anything 4 vs 1 until you have done the missions, then you automatically gets 10000/each duplicate badge, It is no idea to change until you have done all missions in the campaign. Recieved my last today so now I am complete and I recieved it while on the 4th level ( have done all Level 1-3 except 1 + Hoods missions.
-
After 40 badges I have 23+17 duplicates, after that 5 boxes 10 more duplicates but now I know I can exchange the rest for the last one Renown.
