I don't think wows has a Christmas port this year. If you notice London is no longer snowy and at night so zipangu would logically be the one for the winter period as it's now at night and snowing. This will probably change back come spring so.... And wasn't new York all Christmasy and snowing last Christmas.? Or was it new year or was it 4th July? Can't remember...

Ok . I had to watch this again to remind myself of what WG have made up here... A dispersion elipsoid wich has been implemented in this game wich doesn't exist in real life Physics.... so @ 3.05 into the video it does actually state "firing at an enemy without a lock on doubles the size of the dispersion Elipsoid".... Edited @domen3 thank you I missed that so you were right, lock on does indeed effect dispersion in this game it seems.

Have to agree with this. You need to be extra careful if your in a tier8 Cruiser in a tier X game. PERIOD. But the rewards are so worth it

Yes it does agreed...but it doesn't change the distance between rounds to one another (dispersion) and give them a tighter grouping that's what I was trying to get across....

No I don't believe you did because you clearly said: No it doesn't.... it just gives the same dispersion but more towards the chosen target because its locked surely?

That's not a bonus then is it. ....that's because you have locked on to a moving target which provides amore accurate shot AT chosen target. A bonus obviously implies something more/in addition to normal. Normal is locking on to the target, yes that will stop an inaccurate shot but that (lock on) does not give you a reduction in the dispersion of a locked target as does "Manual fire control" on your secondary's. The only reduction in dispersion to your main guns comes with choosing: Aiming Systems Modification 1 500000 Increases the firing accuracy of the main battery and secondary battery, accelerates the traverse speed of torpedo tubes, and extends the firing range of the secondary battery: -7% to maximum dispersion of main battery shells. +20% to torpedo tubes traverse speed. +5% to secondary battery maximum firing range. -5% to maximum dispersion of secondary shells In hindsight it also appears to give you a FURTHER -5% dispersion to secondary's.

I believe this is secondary guns only and only applies when a captain skill is applied. Manual Fire Control for Secondary Armament (4 skill points) reduces the dispersion of secondary armament by -15% for ships of Tiers I-VI, and -60% for ships of Tiers VII-X. This dispersion bonus only applies to the manually focused target that the captain has selected by holding CTRL and left-clicking. Additionally, ships under the command of commanders with this skill will NOT fire their secondary guns at any target other than the one selected as a focus target, regardless of range. http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Secondary_Armament

As discussed before I wish they would change this to the appropriate one that is detecting you. Is it really so hard for WG? The ships that have radar have variations on duration and range and any info that we can get would help when you've been spotted by something that has no counter IMO.

Your right... this is MORE of a concern to me than adjusting concealment by a couple of hundred yards max..although as @DFens_666 Said the last thing cruisers need in general is any Nerf! I feel we are More likely to be perma spotted (or adleast a very high percentage of the time..) or constantly being spotted by the increase of cv players when the rework goes live. Plus I don't know about anybody else but I dummed down or completely got rid of AA builds on a lot of ships because a while ago there was litraly no one playing cv's and I felt it was a waste of captain points and other skills could be utilised on my builds instead. Gunna have to spend a few doubloons now to rectify this and redistribute accordingly. Don't suppose WG will give us free re-distribution because of this? Fat chance.. -
k my eyes...those fonts!!?? Promise me if you come on these treads you will never do that thing with the type face/font again!!..... OK I do understand what you are trying to say , How can my win rate represent JUST me when I play with 11 other people every game... that's logical right? right... But what has been pointed out is that over a longer period of time and a larger amount of battles, your influence and ability to turn the game around in your favour becomes more representational in that win rate, because the more you play the better you (should ) get and the more relevant the win rate becomes. If the win rate increases you have been having more of a positive influence on your games because your getting better, if it drops or stays the same whilst the number of games you play increases then your influence is nil or very little. As people have pointed out (to me as well and this is something I have had to accept) is that YOU are the constant influence in EVERY game and this has a negative or positive inpact on the game and win rate over time.....

Wait....IMO OP has a point on this bit.... why have cv's in a game where most ships don't have any AA fire? Took the Varyag for a spin the other week a tier III Russian premium with NO AA. Enemy CV Langley took one look at me, laughed (hard) and proceeded to bomb drop/ torp drop me the 1st chance he got. Back to port in less than 5 mins. WG blue print for enjoyable low teir battles right there folks!

OP some good advise by others here, but the real heart of the situation is im afraid you have pushed to far up the tiers without first learning the game/aiming mechanics etc that you need. This will only come with experience as you work your way up over a longer period of time. This game is not designed to be completed asap like a shoot em up (last boss (tier x)= completed the game). NOTE how many People's reply's here have thousands of games next to there name....coincidence? Your feeling of disappointment is only natural in this instance because of this. You only have 651 games so far and as @Donnerturm + @Garfield4 have pointed out going down to low/mid tiers you will be playing with people at the same skill level and will have a better chance of more kills/damage etc than playing against people with 9 k battles under their belt at tier X! And yes as suggested try cruisers for a while they are more enjoyable and far more engaging to play. BB's tend to be slow and frustrating gameplay at the best of times by design. Can you imagine if all of your rounds in a BB found their mark every time? Game would be over in like 2 mins no? Get good at the basics and this game will turn around for you. All the best hope you stick at it..
