Nope. Borodino radar is new addition. Also old SU BB radar had 15km range.

Why? I mean in same cases sure but there is not need for that. Basically you will activate consumable which would maybe make couple of turns around your ship and drop deptcharges. So it doesn't matter if aircraft in question is airplane or helicopter, only animation is different. And there would be no need to redesign models to include platform for autogyro.

It is not? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Read the post you originally quoted. It is saying "planes" not helicopters. And you automatically jumped on conclusion that it means only helicopters which is not. ASW aircraft, both helicopters and planes, as consumable could be added on all tiers for which that is reasonable.

Float planes on ww2 warships could also be used to hunt subs. For example Warspite plane sunk a German uboat U-64 during the Second Battle of Narvik in 1940. ASW aircrafts, both airplanes and helicopters, as consumable would be interesting idea. Just ASW helicopters not that much as so few ships in the game have modeled helipads. Republic, Burger, Colbert, Petro, Goliath and Smaland are the only one that have them if I'm not wrong. Some others maybe could be added, for some adding helipad would mean loss of quite a number of AA guns currently placed on ship aft, like for example Thunderer and Conq. So if it is just for helicopters and just for few T10 ships than I think it is pointless and waste of time and resources. If it is part of general ASW aircraft consumable then sure.

This came from having a premium camo and having lower maintenance cost, by half. But generally T10 premiums have same credit income as regular ships only, thanks to lower maintenance cost, you will earn more. -
No T8 BB can overmatch other T8 BB. And there are only four cruisers at T8 that Tirpitz can't overmatch, Balti, Wichita, Hipper and PE and I doubt it couldn't brawls with first two. By this logic only BBs that could brawl are actually Yamato, Musashi and Shikishima as they only could overmatch everyone but we all know how good are those three at brawling.

Yes and no. Ships could be (so called) "freemium" and premium at the same time. If you under "freemium" consider premium ships that could be obtainable by in game resources. For example ships like Aigle or Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya could be obtained for free by finishing set of missions but both are also obtainable for money in premium ship or for doubloons and coal in Armoury. So someone can call them "freemiums" as they are both available for game resource but in reality both are full premium ships. All T9 "freemium" ships are also premium ships. T10 premium ships, and all ARP ships if I'm not wrong, were marked as Special/Reward ships because unlike all other premium ships they don't have improved credit income as their income is same as any other regular ship on that tier. And that, unlike all other ships, T10 premiums could not be obtainable by money with exceptions of PR of course. But beside that all those ships could also be considered premiums. -

What is a point of putting Slava on the list? It is still WiP and it is unknown for what currency it will be sold. By same logic you could put there any T9 or T10 premium ship which is announced but never mentioned which resource will require like Roosevelt or Paolo Emilio.- 20 replies

Belfast was not nerfed in any way when it was released when compared to those "WiP" videos. It was only later affected by some general changes. You using wrong example. CCs was told that German DDs were finial when they created their videos only for WG significantly nerf their gun range before they were released. Are you suggesting that whales are better then average players? My experience is usually very different from that.

What like reduced detection on the side where island is but not reduced on free side? Smoke penalty is relatively simple concept, reduction of radar range for the part area radared area which is going "through" the island would be way harder to implement. And it would not solve anything, people will still complain about radar through the islands. I doubt that WG will implement anything that additionally complicate gameplay. Unless it is something that DD should need to do, because DDs could do anything.

Rumored by who? Slava and Zarya have totally different characteristics. And seems like Zarya should be a premium for next collab. Slava was intended as alternate tech tree T10, from Soyuz but I think this was scrapped and Slava is now T10 "freemium" or special ships or whatever you want to call it. Originally Slava was announced as Pobeda or it was just initially tested under that name. Not sure but Pobeda and Slava are same ship.

Stealth radar is leaving DD without counterplay, radar behind rock is not. If somebody is radaring you from behind the rock then he either can't shoot you or had very limited window to shoot you. That would also mean that you have at least 6 sec to make your move to minimize or avoid fire from his teammates. So I am for removing stealth radaring but not fro removing radaring behind rock. This was done for game simplifications. If radar can't "penetrate" rock than radar consumable in current form would have very limited use and would require much riskier play from cruisers to be be able to effectively use it. it would probably require either buffing the radar ships, or at least some of them, or completely changing radar mechanic, maybe even both would make gameplay much more complicated for average players. Good players will adapt and learn how and when to use it, average player would be clueless and there will be a lot of complains on this forum how their radar is not working. This would make having good player in radar ship even bigger advantage for that team. What WG could do IMO is remove stealth radaring because it remove any counterplay don't give radars around like it is a candy. why every Soviet ships with radar needs to have 12km radar. They give at least one of cruiser line a shorter range radar like the one we have on Ochakov.

Radar on Missouri is already one unnecessary radar too much. If you don't understand how Missouri radar could influence game, and MM, that we don't have anything to talk. Well then, why add it at all if it is of limited use. Or even better, let's add it to everything I mean everybody needs to push without worry of torps or DDs. Why would just BBs have fun. So it is of limited use but on the same time it can have significant impact? And by you this is not a significant buff to BBs? Finally you said something that actually make sense.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure. You know, when you are trying to make classes less dependent that does not promote increasing teamwork (between classes of course not just a bunch of BBs) quite opposite. So let's make BBs be capable doing everything alone? What? But that alpha could be negate or completely avoided by using WASD or tools like hydro, which seems you proposing for all BBs, which could basically make DDs most deadly alpha strike weapon to least consistent damage dealing weapon in the game. I am?

It would unnecessary buff BB and make them even less interested to any form of teamwork. Like any buff WG give to BBs will make them push, there will always be some reason to stay behind and snipe from spawn. Same apply for BBs who are thinking that playing "aggressively" means charge whole enemy team and don't bother with changing direction or speed. Only difference is that bad DDs don't have HP or heals to last as long as bad BB.

Yup let's make BBs ultimate class, countering everything and countered by nothing. Let slap everything we have on it, radar, hydro, DFAA, MBRB, torpedoes..... Why would they rely on team or have a weakness. How about that BB actually try to support his DDs and keep them alive as that could benefit himself and his team. How about people learn to play and not having a ship that makes for their own mistakes/incompetency.

I think it is just matter of time before we get first BB line or subbranch with radars. WG like slapping radar on anything, and even tho RN BBs and SU BBs in the end didn't kept their radars just the fact that WG is still toying with this idea is saying enough. Currently they are testing Borodino with 12km radar because why not.

Exactly this. Problem is whole concept, Slava is designed as "low risk, high reward" ship. Turning her into some kind of "glass canon" will never work as long as she keep those guns with great accuracy, amazing pen, amazing shell velocity and ballistics and amazing range. Whole concept is just a BS. If they want BB with accurate guns than lower the range to 18-19km so that if she want to get best values from guns then she need to get into harm's way. Sniping from 25km is not what this game needs. I would rather prefer her at T9 but as normal BB, even tho I would prefer her not in the game at all, then this. Why would anyone play a supercruiser if there is a BB that can do that role much better.

Sure buddy as cruisers usually have 350-370mm armoured belt or 150mm upper belt. By that logic Mino and Smolensk have worse armour then DDs so they must be trash too. You never played new Slava, never watched somebody else playing new Slava, you have zero understanding how the that ship works but you are nevertheless calling it trash because, what, 25mm bow armour? Just ... I'm really glad you are neither the ST or deciding about balance of the ships.
