Why don't we have historical flags?
fumtu replied to ItsJustAFleshWound's topic in General Discussion
Are you really trying to equal Dresden and Auschwitz or Dahau or Babi Yar or Wola? But there is significant difference in them. And if you are thinking that they are equal, then you have a serious issues. If Germans had won, it is questionable how many of us would be here today ... you know those who are not fitting in their narrow views of the World. -
Add to that 8km Tashkent torps and you have a deal

It is not Capitani Romani class, it is similar but not exactly. It is actually concept originally created by CCs during the last year summit based on Capitani Romani class.

That is Wargaming in general, but majority of that income is probably coming from WoT. Still I doubt Lesta is not profiting from the WoWs.
-
Thing is, I posted video with the timestamp where he is presenting article about how CEO of Lesta was awarded by St Petersburg Chamber of Commerce for increased revenue and that in first half of the 2019, the Company earned more than $90 millions and that WoWs regularly takes first line in terms of income per active player. Question was "does wows make a profit" so I guess this is an answer on that. You can take whatever iEarlGrey say however you want but I posted video only because this part.

Yes ... but as in game Edinburgh is actually representing subclass and not a ship, it already has that armour, and bulges, added to the model. So in game Edinburgh is actually what HMS Belfast should be.
-
Of course it does
-
There could be no adjusting, they are not even the same size, it would require a new model It would be much easier to use Fiji model for Town class then Edin/Belfast model Because it is same as Edin.
-
Those were general changes not deliberate changes to one premium ship.
-
Any other Town class cruisers will require a completely new model as Edin and Belfast were quite different from their older sisters. That could work only if every single owner of the T7 Belfast agree to that which I doubt will ever happen. T7 Belfast is one of the greatest f*ups WG did so far IMO, but now they can't do anything about it except reintroduce her in this way. Any change to current Belfast would probably bring a lot of complains and open the door which many would like to stay closed - "nerfing" (as lot of people will see it that way) premium ships.

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

Nope, ship on the picture is A hull Iowa. -
Smoke/Radar combo again .... just why? That said radar Edinburgh is better in almost every way. Both have 16mm which means Belfast armour should be same as Edin, but, unlike Edin, T8 Belfast doesn't have a heal. If camo is included in that 11.3km detection range that would mean 9.15km concealment, if not then 8.87km, but I think that camo is included. This would mean no stealth radar. 1.5sec worse reload, 2km less range on torps, with SI 3x9km radar instead of 4x10km for Edin, max 3 charges of worse smoke which majority will overshoot if they try to stop in it. So by initial stats it doesn't look great, I expect some buffs as currently radar Edin and Cleve both looks much better radar CLs.

Personally, I wouldn't mind. But all captains are still obtainable, either in the Armoury or via campaigns. So everybody can get themselves one. That is why I have less issue with captains or ships than someone might consider OP but which are still available to everyone than with those that are removed from store, especially if they were removed because they where considered OP by WG.
-
They can still use them as a bait as people will still want them, even just for Randoms and other non-competitive modes.
-
All T10 are considered "special" or "reword". Benham, and any other premium from T2 to T9 are just standard premium ships, no matter how they were obtainable. But some of those premiums, in ingame Logbook, which were not obtainable anymore, outside boxes, are marked as rare. Ships like Kami, Gremy, Musashi or Enterprise for example, which were removed from game from various reason but mostly because they were considered OP. Those ships should definitely be removed from participating in competitive gameplay.

That has nothing with CV but CV player. He didn't "play normally". (/s)

With IFHE, 234mm HE pen goes from 59mm to 73mm. This will allow you to pen Soviet BBs 60mm deck and Smolensk citadel but your fire change went down from 24% to just 12%. So if you meet a lot , I mean a looooot, of Soviet BBs and Smolensk it could be worth but if you don't than it is just a waste of 4 points. IMO it is not worth it.

Maybe couple of years ago but now not even close. At high tiers it is weaker then Kagero, as it should be, and Kagero was not even strong T8 in first place. If you want to know how good Kami would be at T10, just play Yukikaze and imagine even weaker ship.

Remove the keeping a star thing when losing
fumtu replied to Itwastuesday's topic in General Discussion
In the first game in this season I actually had one of those rare teams which actually worked together. First six ended in just 200 XP difference. So by you only three of them should be awarded while other three should not even they worked for it? I don't think so. System like that would only impose even less teamwork and more opportunistic play. While would I help teammate if me helping him could result in him getting a star while I don't, even if we win. That would be stupid. It also don't provide equal chance for everyone to earn a star in the win. Which is also stupid. To me, in current system, it would be ridicules if team wins but not everyone get a star. Give first two 2 stars, I'm ok with that, but give everyone star. Sure maybe not all contribute to the win equally but even is someone was just a punching bag for enemy team that would mean that they are not shooting on someone else which could enable that person to do something for win. Give additional reword for those who distinguish themselves, not punish someone because they maybe lacked couple of XPs to be among top three or whatever. Without knowing which action gives how much XP, without better MM, any small changes of the current system would not work. It could maybe fix one problem but it will create another. Whole concept of stars is flawed in general. We need ranked rework. -
Remove the keeping a star thing when losing
fumtu replied to Itwastuesday's topic in General Discussion
Saving star as a T10 DD is nearly impossible, at lower tiers it is much easier. To OP: Is saving star as a mechanic bad? Probably Will removing saving star mechanic make people play better and make ranked more enjoyable? Of course not How do I know? We have ranked without saving star mechanic, they were still sh*tshow, and guess what people asked for - save star mechanic Removing saving star mechanic will not fix ranked battles, they will still be sh*tshow. Just instead of people trying to save star you will have people yoloing or going afk as soon as in their mind they thing the game is lost. Instead of trying to do something in the game you will have people who will just try to do as much battles as they can as what is a point fighting a lost battle. I am for rework of ranked but not for just removal of the save star because it would not solve anything but just create different problems. -
This doesn't mean that only skilled players are playing Enterprise or that Enterprise players are better then average CV player. Just that Enterprise is better ship then Lexington. And that is a point. You have no proof for any of your claims just your reasoning and feeling.
-
Well which of them is better. Enterprise or Lexington?
-
Do you have any proof for these claims or is it just your opinion. I don't see how you can claim that all Enterprise players are better then average CV players especially as it is a: famous ship which many players would like to have just because all the fame it was available for money which means only "skill" you needed to get it is to have some money in the pocket
-
It was popular even before CV rework and could be bought back then so .... That argument don't have any sense
