    Bismark Gothic Camo mission

Got mission but won't bother to finish it. Already got the only Bismarck camo that matters, the ultimate potato one with yellow turrets.

Rumor: Yoshino Removed in two Months

To be fair JB/Smolensk removal was announced some two months before they were removed from Armoury But that was two months from official announcement on DevBlog.
  3. That doesn't have anything with armour belt but with 32mm overall. And Repu AP has the best pen among all T10 BBs up to 13km and one the best from 13km onward.
  4. Yes, you can citadel Kremlin but its belt is all but squishy. Belt is 430mm thick, with central part of 410mm. But it is sloped 20 degree which gives 458mm and 436mm respectively. And you need to consider that shell impact angle, especially on the range would give even more effective armour that it needs to pen. So it could be easily from close range but over longer range, not so much. For comparation Yamato belt is 410mm, Montana 409mm, Conq 406mm, Repu 400mm. So Kremlin belt is at worst equal, but at best better than other T10 BBs. Add to that very low freeboard which makes hitting the citadel over long ranges even greater challenge.

    ST 0.9.10, new content

I agree. The only reason I could think off why WG didn't use Barroso is that they have plans with a Brooklyn class cruiser of the same name. As @Allied_Winter said this would require a new model and I doubt WG would spend time and resource to develop low tier premium just for occasion like this. Generally I doubt that we will see new low tier premium any time soon.

FDR: how to play it ?

Problem is that when WG arrive with nerf bat and see that bully is actually a CV it would stop and wouldn't know what to do. If it is just cruiser or DD it would beat them to the pulp but it is a CV .... WG loves BB but CV is still their precious one with special needs. What to the do there? Probably just beat cruisers and DDs in pulp for every case.
  7. Our right flank and center just collapsed , or to be more precise they all just died for some reason. My divmate and me were at one point alone against 6 enemy ships. We killed five of them but didn't have enough time to kill CV. In any other cruiser than Petro I would die long time ago as in the end I was tanking three BBs but succeeded to kill all three. But at least I got reported 2 times so ... yaaaaaaay.

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

You know that for example area on SG or Petro or Moskva that could be overmatched by Yamato is the same as one that could be overmatched by Montana. But somehow RNG prefer Yamato I guess for whatever reason. That was a great point there, well done.

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

So now even RNG have impact on deciding what you can overematch. This discussion is pointless.

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

Not even Yamato could overmatch the worst enemies they can be pitted against everywhere so I guess its guns are "small" too. Fun fact, 406mm can overmatch every cruiser in the game, sure not everywhere, but still every single one of them have a plate that could be overmatched by 406mm AP shell.

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

406mm "small" guns, wow. You are special one.
  12. fumtu

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

So? Still doesn't make it a "small" guns. None of regular T9 BBs has gun larger than 406, only two premium ships, Musashi and Georgia has bigger guns. 406 is also quite potent against T7 and T8 ships, you know the other tiers that T9 meet regularly.
  13. fumtu

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

Small guns? Minnesota has 406mm guns, those are not small guns for T9. Issues is not a caliber but AP shell pen. Never had issues with playing Colorado in Narai, not sure why would you have issues with California which has a same speed.

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

As @Aragathor pointed out I was nerfed recently Watching Flamu playing it on Twitch it doesn't look as particularly good ship. But for 1k doubloons you can skip grinding T8, you should get completely researched T9 (and maybe, a premium camo for it? not sure), so basically you can speed up your grind for Vermont. If that is looking worth 1k of doubloons than go for it if don't, then just wait one more patch.
  15. fumtu

    Is the Minnesota worth it?

Only if Minesota is in first out of 65 bundles. If is not in the first bundle, then it is not worth it. Don't waste your doubloons on lottery to get a ship which you can grind for free in the next patch.
  16. If all torpedo damage is from FDR that would be almost 76k damage just from bombs and torps. If you add 8k of flooding damage that would be 84k. I won't count here fire damage as it could or could not came due HE boms. Still 84k is significant portion of 133k, that is 63% of total damage.

Share of real ships for each nation

Actually, events during 1917 impacted Russian Navy shipbuilding much more than Russo-Japanese War. While Russia did lost lot of ships, it was still continue to build them.

    RB aka NTC (Facebook post)

But if LU provide straight upgrade that we would be back to the old NTC concept that would basically require you to grind upgrade just for a sake to stay competitive. And that would put new players just as those casual once in the huge disadvantage compared to more active players. I agree that lot of those LUs are not looking good, but that is an issue of WG way of balancing them. Many of them are not providing alternative gameplay at all or not providing enough in return when compared what you are sacrificing in exchange. IMO Kleber one is example of correct way how it should work. Now I don't say that it is a good upgrade in current state, but turning a gunboat into torpedoboat does provide alternative gameplay that some might like while others don't. But that is ok as LU should not be a must have thing but it should give you an alternative way to play a ship and not straight up making it better. But for that they should be better balanced to be worth spending your time on grinding them. And of course there is huge issue of the price. I wouldn't mind if they are costing like 12 to 15k, as that could make you get 2 upgrades for three regrinds with x1 bonus, but "pricing" them for almost 20k is insane. And there is no coupon that could be applied for them. For what many of them are providing this is way to expansive.
  19. No it just don't work as you said. But with changes you still get much more value from your Lutjens. Unlike now where you basically set him for one ship and can use him only on the similar ships to get the best from him. Now you can spec him for a cruiser, a DD, a BB and a CV, and spec him to get the best for ships of four different classes. Only thing is only one of those ships is regular. But your Lutjens would still be much more valuable than now.
  20. No you can' t. Captain will still be assigned on only one ship. But you can use it on premiums of all four classes. For example it your Lutjens is assigned to Hindi, you can use him on Tirpitz, T-61 and GZ, while using separate captain skills for those classes. But if you want to use him on GK, you will need to reassign him on that ship and pay for retraining or just do all retraining thing.

FDR and Paulo Emilio currency announced

It is quite significant difference between Paolo and Colbert. Capitani Romani is basically an oversized destroyer and, even tho Paolo is not a Capitani Romani class, it is probably similar in size. To give you some scale of ships: Akizuki - length 134.2m, full displacement 3.700 tons Mogador - length 137.5m, full displacement 4.018 tons Capitani Romani - length 142.2m, full displacement 5.420 tons Colbert - length 180.47m, full displacement 11.093 tons If Paolo is put on T5-T7 it would probably be cruiser, but at T9 it could easily be classify as a DD. And you can expect similar thing for Tromp class light cruiser, which is also an oversized DD. Colbert , on the other side is much larger ships by all means and is correctly classified as a CL. Just because someone classified ship as a light cruiser it doesn't have to be that and that does not make it equal with other CLs.

    German CA/CL split

There is (almost) zero chance that split will happen at low tiers. There is also no need for Yorck to change tier as it is already good where it is. If CA/CL split happen, the most probably scenario would be to just split at Nurnberg and add T7 to T10 CL.I know that you would like to see as much ship as you can, but considering recent decision to not produce T3 Italian BB it seems very unlikely that WG would waste time/resources to develop so many low tier ships for Germans. Some ships, like SMS Sharnhorst or SMS Blucher could be nice T5 /T6 premium ship tho.

    Wargaming should really take notice.

But you also have to take into account that some other things happened between release of Smolensk and now, like for example IFHE changes which impacted Smol quite significantly. And Smol never had such high WR. Quite fast its WR dropped bellow 50% and for long time it is around 48-49%. To be clear I'm not saying that Petro is OP, it has some clear weaknesses. But it could be a bit to strong than it should be and some things could maybe be toned down a little. But that is just my opinion.
