  1. And it got nerfed, twice so far. I won't argue here is that enough. But there is a big difference between Petro and Smaland: WG could always nerf Petro but could not just remove it as it is a tech three ship While WG technically could nerf Smaland, I doubt they want to do it, especially when they could just remove it from a shop
  2. As @Bear__Necessities said, this is not about general popularity but because its popularity in KotS and ships stats (in the other words it is just to strong). But of course they will say it is "to popular" instead.
  3. 10/16 collected with 3 duplicates so far. 19 containers left from remaining missions so with just one more unique item from those 19 I should be able to complete collection.

    Belfast 43 incoming!

Norfolk is just another County class, Tiger could hardly get in the game with just 4 guns and nothing else, Southampton/Gloucester are the same class and quite similar to Fiji or Edin. I mean all of them could get in the game but with exception of the Dido, Tiger is to weak and would need every gimmick it can just to be decent. So not much diversity there. Don't get me wrong I would like to see all those ship but very few of them could offer something new and different.

    Belfast 43 incoming!

For mid tiers yes, for high tiers not really. Lot of those war classes were based on the similar concept, so that even there is a lot of them there is not much variation. It would be nice to get a Dido class cruiser or HMS Cavalier or one of hose L class DDs with 4x2 4inch guns, but lot of them would be slight variation of the things we already have in the game and I guess number of those ships will arrive in the game under flags of other countries, like Mysore.

    Whats with Riga AP

It still has 40mm icebreaker and central deck is 27mm. Only US and German cruisers have more 27mm plating but the rest is not much better, if not even worse as almost none of them has icebreaker. Armor wise is not that bad for T8 cruiser.

    Belfast 43 incoming!

Town and CC class were build to abide to different treaties. CC class was build to the limitations of the Second London Naval Treaty which lowered max displacement of the CLs from 10k to 8k. that is why they are smaller than Town class.

    Zombie Ships

Sometimes ships are just sinking to slowly, not sure if that is bug or not. I sew similar things during this patch.

    Whats with Riga AP

Worst than Albemarle or Cheshire? Not IMO, I found Tallinn decent but nothing special. But I guess all depends on the personal experience.

    Belfast 43 incoming!

Well WG seriously f-up by putting 1956/59 version of Belfast on T7 in first place and even more by making her OP which forced them to remove her from the store. It should be T8 at least. If they done that properly there would be no need for Belfast '43, but they didn't and so we have this mess. But HMS Belfast is one of the best known ww2 museum ships so it is understandable that WG would try to make her available again for everyone and the easiest way to do it, without creating outrage by current owners, is by introducing her again in her earlier form and that is what they are trying to do with Belfast '43. I don't mind for WG putting Plymouth, which is based on early proposals for Edinburgh sub-class, at T10, after all it has 16 guns. Ship tiering depend mostly on balancing and general stats, much less on their year of origin. Just look at Somers which is currently at T10. It's older than Sims (T7), Benson (T8), Fletcher (T9), Benham (T9) and Gearing (T10) but it ended being T10 ship mostly because it has more armament then any other DD built after it.

    Belfast 43 incoming!

Plymouth is T10 not T9 and unlike Edin or Belfast sisters has original hull of the subclass, without bulges. So Plymouth hull is what original hull of both Edin and Belfast looked like when they were commissioned for the first time.

Did you maybe looked on the post above yours? No, they did not, not in this form.

    Belfast 43 incoming!

No, in game Edinburgh hull model is actually based on the hull of HMS Belfast after its refit in 1942. During rebuilding of the ship, after hitting the mine, amidship bulges were added to increase stability. HMS Edinburgh never had bulges as it was sunk before any significant refit took place.
  16. Yes. Only exception was the first anniversary event after introduction of RB but since than you need to actually play your T10 during event to get a box for it.

    Hedgehogs Confirmed I guess.

And yet Vampire sequel will have her Limbo, or at least she has it now. And Friesland still has her Bofors 357 mm anti-submarine mortars. WG is sometimes so inconsistent. I would really love if they return Squid n Daring, even if it is not functional.

Finally devide Heavy and Light Cruisers.

It would not happen, at least not in the near future. First and major issue would be a MM which would be so complicated and probably lead to long queue. On NA or ASIA servers, were is much less players than on EU, MM could really struggle to create match. Second issue is that it is still to early for something like that. Only three lines so far had CL and CA branches, the rest only have one mix line. For example French and Germans have CLs up to T6, Italian to T5 and Japanese to T4. So basically all those CL lines will be left unfinished while it is questionable could they be finished in the first place. not to mention that even inside those groups you would be able to make further divides which could require even further separation, like for example CLs with DD guns and 6 inch guns and above. The only exception should be hybrid ships which should go into their own class. IMO this is completely pointless, waste of time and resources. Lot of issues could be fixed by simply improving MM algorithm instead of introducing completely unnecessary "classes", like splitting DDs to torpedo boats and gunboats. What to do with all those hybrids, like Daring or Smaland/Halland, where to put them? It just complicate things as sometimes line between all those ships is really thin.

    T X DD Lapland?

It was only for testing purposes. Who knows, maybe one day we will get a Lappland as a premium but not in this form as it has absolutely same stats as Halland.

How to get ARP Yamato ^^

It was available just for doubloons. Sure it was very expensive but still could be obtained without grinding a single mission. Also what do you expect for APR Yamato? Just like PR it will be "event" ship obtainable for very limited time as were all other ARP ships. So my guess would be some temporary resource available from containers, doubloons or combination those two.

How to get ARP Yamato ^^

PR was also never "sold" for in game resources and still has the same status as all other T10 premiums.
  22. Originally, Edinburgh sub class had much more powerful AA: Sheffield - 4x2 4 inch, 2x4 2-pounder Belfast - 6x2 4 inch, 2x8 2-pounder During the war Sheffield AA was strengthened by additional 20mm guns but so was Belfast AA which received more of them. The most significant upgrade to Sheffield AA arrived in 1945 when X turret was removed and replaced with 40mm Bofors guns. So the only time that Sheffield had better AA was he time when she had one less turret compared to Belfast. 1946 Sheffield
  23. So what? As far as I know they were still in their original form during Korea War. I am not talking here about FRAM modification which happened after Korean War. So they are ww2 era ships in the end. Well it is. Gearing was used in Vietnam and Falkland and probably some other conflicts. Should we considered it also a Falkland War era ship? Just because some ship was modernized it doesn't change their era of origin. Only 4 of them were laid down after the war ended and 62 out of 98 were launched during the war. They are ww2 era ships, just like Cleveland or Baltimore class cruisers or Iowa class BB even despite the fact that many of them were extensively modernized and served long after the ww2.
  24. Gearing is ww2 era ship. It is basically just a somewhat longer version of Allen M Sumner class. It is designed and built during the ww2, 4 ships of the class even served in ww2. Major difference between Gearing and Allen M Sumner is range as Gearing class carrier more fuel. But basic design, and armament is the same.
  25. WG never banned any ship from KotS as they are not organize tournament in the first place and can't ban anything Smolensk, PR and Slava were not banned from tournament because they were deemed OP but because their availability as Smolensk and PR could not be obtained at the time of the tournament and Slava was new addition and was available for RP and thus not very limited number of players have it. Sure, the availability issue could be used by WG to ban Belfast and other not more available ships in the some mode but there is very little chance that something like that would happen. In their view, probably, if you spend a money on the premium ship than you should be able to play it in all modes.
