Ships that were designed when the devs thought deadeye will be a permanent skill should get base accuracy buff after deadeye is gone
fumtu replied to leonport's topic in General Discussion
Not true. Hizen pre-date commander rework and all testing data predate it. Ship final configuration was set before deadeye is implemented. If Hizen needs buffs than WG should buff it but this is just a cheap attempt to make it like WG must do it and what to do. Same for Italian BBs as majority of the testing data was probably collected before introduction of the captain rework as those ships were in testing even before new year. Again if they need buffs WG should buff them, but they are also the ones who should decide what/how to buff, not you. -
Probably April 15th, so the next week.

Back to dumb comparation with cars. Tell me does you call dealer create also a World and rules where and how you can use your car? Do you need to grind 9 other cars to get the one you love? Do you have like over 100 cars on the garage? How much real money does car maintenance and usage cost compared to, let say a premium ship? If you crash your car can you use it immediately after the crash? I guess WG should also not buff any premium ship ever as what dealer would just give you a better model for free just for a goodness of his hart. Yup, such an idiotic comparation.

Upper nose is 25mm and could be overmatched even by 380mm. Depending on the shell arcs and distance you can get either full pen or citadel. Petro's ice breaker is not that high that will prevent bow citadel. If it is angled shoot either superstructure or 25mm sections at bow and stern. Or you can use HE as 380mm HE, and higher, can pen Petro 50mm deck. -
So you spend your money to get Odin and got some coal as bonus. Yup definitely like buying a coal directly. So WG should stop with with making ships completely? If they not succeed in the first try than why bother at all, right? It is their game, they are always fiddling. I mean that is their job. No it won't. If next patch WG release a new coal/steel/RP/FXP ship people will just say "Nah, I would rather have this (insert resource) sit here for nothing as they might eventually nerf it a bit". Yes, I totally see that happen, especially if the next ship is quite strong. Well that is a smart thing to do, and if you asked me I would suggest you the same thing. Why spend money when you can get same result by just playing. So you are not buying any food than?

Yes it can. Also a full pens so Petro could take a lot of damage from BBs who know where to ship (and hit) Mostly yes, but lot of time you still need to push. You can't do that stern in. -
Why is Tiger'59 on the list? How can anyone know how good it is if it is still under NDA and in testing phase?

Unfortunately

If it can be at T7, than depending on balancing it could easily be placed either t T6 or T8. There is absolutely no need for odd tier CV now. I wouldn't mind if WG remove even CVs too.

There is NO need to play ranked/CW as WG is nerfing steel ships
fumtu replied to luokailk's topic in General Discussion
As far as I know, T10 premiums still have the same credit income as the regular T10 ship. Difference is that T10 premiums post battle cost is 50% lower so technically you will earn like 45k more credits from T10 premium due this. T9 premiums generally have much better credit income than any other tier. -

Well, you can still use any captain on it without retraining and they have same reduced post battle cost as the rest of the premiums. Main and only difference is that they provide less credit income than regular premiums. That and the fact that WG clearly stated that they consider those ships as the special case and could be balanced directly in needed. So all T10 are technically premiums but they are exception from all regular premiums. But if you want you can call them whatever you want. But all T9 premiums are regular premiums without single exception no matter how you obtain it. -

Yes. There is no such thing as a freemium, not officialy, there is only regular premiums and special ship. Only exceptions might be ARP ships which are technically a regular premium but don't have same credit income as the rest of premiums. People usually call freemiums ships that were available for some of in game resources, like Steel, Coal or FXP. But majority of them was also available by other means, either directly in the shop or in the Satan boxes. JB was first T9 premium that was sold in the shop, and almost all the rest after it were sold directly in the shop. Only exceptions are Missouri, Musashi and Krony which were only available for FXP and in the boxes, Benham, which is available for tokens but you could buy boxes which contain those tokens (and SBs of course), Hizen which is introduced via Dockyard and which could be bought for doubloons. At least for now Black is the only one that is never been sold for money or in the Satan boxes, but only for Steel. Still, no matter in which way those T9 were obtainable all of them are considered regular premiums and as such all the rules that could be applied to those could also be applied to them. T10 ones are considered only exception from the rule even tho we have a T10 premium sold for money (if you count PR that would mean actually two premiums). -
Yes, having a 5sec shorter radar will definitely change its playstyle. Yup, completely different ships now. Well I'm not surprised there.
-
So? Is SG all about radar? I guess SG is nothing with 25sec radar as only thing that makes that ship good is that additional 5sec. That is so pathetic. What a BS.
-
So you are complaining that you have to play a game so that you can get a ship and play it in the game? WTF? Again this stupid reference to RL and cars. Imagine if in the real life you have and accident, crash your car and die but then you can just press button, go to garage, find your BMW there completely intact and go with your life as nothing happened! Also if someone some day decide that your BMW should be balanced so that it not outperform VW Beetle maybe they will come to you to tell you that. Compering playing a game to work. And when I though this could not go more stupid than car comparation. I guess you consider even the sleeping as a wasted time then. If you think that you are loosing something for playing a game then just don't play a game.
-
What? 5sec of radar is making a SG useless in ranked? Are you sure about that?

Flandre in the shop - is it any good?
fumtu replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
This one is based on one of three proposals for the Alsace battleship. We still need to get the last one, basically Flandre but with 406mm instead of 380mm, which could easily be either T9 or T10 depending on how WG balance it. -
Only if he is on Fuso

Can you provide receipts for the money you spend on them? -

fumtu replied to luokailk's topic in General Discussion
No we don't but considering that all of them are T8 and lower, most likely just doubloons and real money. -
Quite probable, as these nerf are very minor in terms of effectiveness of both Thund and SG.
-
Substantially? It is somewhat weaker but definitively not "substantially weaker" So? WG never said that they won't directly nerf "special" ships, quite contrary.

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
fumtu replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Problem is that all those modules/skills are now percentage based so if torps are slow they will get very little bonus from them. Double 5% increase would only bump them to 55.1kn which is still very slow. It just entered testing, you need to wait at least three to four months, maybe even more for its release. -
German cruisers only have 80mm armour belt, and that is all, all the rest is significantly less. So .... two exceptions, yup already seems balanced. At T6 there is none, and that is what matters. Yes alpha on 320mm SAP and AP is bigger than the one on 305mm guns, but you are ignoring two things. You also proposed faster reload, which would already bring DPM of both 320mm and 305mm on almost the same level, which by itself would compensate for caliber difference, but then you also bring better dispersion which will bring more "effective" DPM than Doria could provide. So in gun performance you proposed ship is already better than regular ship. Considering that you are using Bruto as base I guess you want the same hull as Bruto with 26mm instead of 19mm which would bring it on the same level as Doria if not even somewhat better. So compared to Doria this ship already looks stronger. I will discard your reference to Renown as it is not even in the game or announced. We don't know in what state would that ship enter the game so comparation with it is pointless. But considering Dunkirq, proposed ship, as it is proposed, would outclass Dunk easily. Dunk has 8 guns which has same overmatching capability as 305mm, even tho they are 35mm larger. Both ship overmatch 19mm but can't overmatch 25mm. Dunk AP deals almost 1.6k more damage but 305mm SAP deals almost the 40% stronger than 340mm HE. So Dunk AP DPM is 179k while our proposed ships would have 187k, if we give it same shells as Cavour. And 88.6k HE DPM to 181k SAP DPM. So Dunk would have better AP penetration values but the other guy would have better DMP and better dispersion, so it would be more accurate. Dunk has more HP but there is a huge difference in armour, as Dunk is coated with 26mm everywhere while 305 dude would have 43mm deck, and 130mm upper belt, and fake bow. How do you think that this ship would under perform compared to Dunk I have no idea. Only thing that Dunk can provide would be DoT damage, all the rest goes on the other side. So I don't know how do you think that ship would not outshine both Doria and Dunk. Oh and PEF. Why would we need this ship in the first place? WG could put Novorossiysk as some combination of Italian and Soviet flavor. And there is always a Caio Duilio. Or original design for Francesco Caracciolo class.

No I wasn't (and it means something other that I understand). Not how you are using it, that is for sure Well I have a something to back that I know game mechanics, you .... well we'll never know I guess. Is there a point? Thank you very much, I will
