First I'm not a BB player, I have only 48 games in them because I don't like them and I suck in them and if I'm better BB player that you that you have a serious problem. Yes I don't have a single battle in T10, that is true, at least on on live server, have plenty on PTS tho but I know it's not the same thing. Still have a chance to play both Gearing and YY. I have YY but so far didn't transfer my captains from Chung Mu simple because I love Chung. If playing Chung Mu, which is a f****** great DD btw, show me anything is that PA DDs don't like a lot of DDs simple because of the fact that if they smoke in the cap you can't do anything unless you have a radar. I personally don't use radar I choose smoke instead as PA DDs has great smoke and it works for me. But I've met radar Chung Mu and it always ended bad for them. Now maybe they were a not good players, I don't know I don't have a habit of checking other players stats. Radar YY or Chung Mu can't do much alone, both ships require support, YY even more as she have worse concealment, and if your team doesn't support you you want do much. And in random games, I don't play CW, teamplay is something you don't see quite often. To me seems that your major problem with this ship is radar not ship itself even tho all your ideas only include nerfing ship not its consumables. Nobody says that YY is anything but strong ship which she really is. But she is not OP, she is not some kind of monster that can't be countered. Was it smart decision to give her a radar? Probably not. Considering that first version of YY had 5.4km concealment and both radar and smoke the version we got is a balanced one.

Except it can't. YY can't torp DD in smoke, I mean she can but with no effect, and she don't have DAA. So she can't do everything better than its opposition. Yes radar and DD is not a good combination but except that saying that YY is every way better than Gearing is wrong.

Looks like only two happened for sure - Gascan and "PEW! PEW! PEW!" which I suppose announced Space Battles. Another Duke looks like another T61 case and seems that we will never know what actually "The Captain has some missions for you... " was supposed to mean. I don't really any purpose of all this announcements if WG won't stick with them.

How can ship which torps can't hit other DDs can establish map and area control especially against other DDs. With radar? With module it can last for 28sec? In that time Yueyang can only use her guns against targeted DD which will on the other hand make her a target for enemy or rather stay concealed and hope that other ships in his team will do the job. But once radar is gone smokeless Yueyang could do a s*** to contest cap unless strongly supported. In direct fight with other gunboats under equal terms YY is in disadvantage as enemy DD don't have to care about torps and can focus only on gunfight. On the other hand YY must take possible enemy torps in the account. You are presenting YY as some kind of ultimate DD at T10, which s*** on everything no matter what she face. But that is simple not truth. Z-52 is way better cap contender then YY, and Akizuki, on equal terms, can outfight YY every single time unless she is driven by total noob. YY is not OP, what make all PA DDs to have good average damage are torps which give more consistent torpedo damage against BBs and CA/CLs then other torps and the best smoke in the game. YY as a gun platform is good but not OP and definitely not something that you can't counter. Yes DD with radar was never a good idea but as WG decided that this will be their gimmick fact that they have to trade smoke for radar makes them somewhat balanced, at least way better than Black is. If there is any need for nerf than is should be done to general DW torps characteristics like for example increase of detection range or general PA DD smoke characteristics. Ship by itself is good there is no need to f*** with it especially not bringing it on the Gearing level because as I said before THEY ARE NOT THE SAME CLASS. Maybe other ships like Gearing and Shima could get some buffs instead. Gearing should get new model with should decrease amount of damage she receive now because of fat hull and Shima could use some concealment buff.

Yes Gearing is fatter than Flatcher. She should have the same width as Yueyang. Problem is that Gearing model in the game is old and needs update. Now hull wise Yueyang has advantage over Gearing as her hull is lower in the water and, probably, narrower than that of Gearing (but also wider than Fletcher one). But this should rectify by updating Gearing model. There is no reason to apply any nerf to Yueyang because of this.

Allen M Sumner class is based on the wider Fletcher hull, it's not using same hull as Fletcher. On the other hand Gearing in designed on longer Allen M Sumner hull. Problem here is that Gearing model in the game in not correct, it sitting too high in the watter and should be updated. Gearing hull should be almost the same as Yueyang just a bit longer and with different bridge compared to Yueyang.

Sorry I misunderstand you. Yes Yueyang is smaller target compared to Gearing. I hope that WG will update Gearing as this one is just sitting too high in the water.

Well Yueyang model in the original Allen M Sumner with compact bridge which is lower than Gearing one. She is also shorter than Gearing so her concealment is better. I don't see anything wrong there. Also WG mentioned that they will think about lowering Shima concealment as possible buff. If that happen Yueyang won't have best concealment in the tier. Again true. Allen M Sumner class is faster than Gearing class. Also as a smaller ship has smaller turning radius. Both those things are historically correct. They are not the same class and there are some differences between them. As they were. Gearing has bigger displacement do yes, also logical. Now this is things with which WG balanced ships. If WG needs to do some nerfs than torpedo characteristics would be logical way to do that. All PA DDs have same smoke so they will need to change this for all class which is possible, not that I want that but possible. Radar for smoke instead of DAA for speed boost - I would say a fair trade. Maybe they should do this for Black and Belfast too. Yueyang is outspotted by Kagero/Harekaze, Yugumo and Chung Mu. But she also have same concealment as Benson, Kidd, Fletcher, Black, Loyang and Hsienyang. Also her advantage over some other dds like Gearing, Z-46 or Shima is not that big. Yes it is advantage but in every tier some DD has some advantage over other so it is nothing new or unusual. Using radar is quite risky if you don't have support but if you have it it is a strong. But you can say that for every combination of the some consumable and support. It AA is good but lack of DAA make Gearing much better in that part. She is a regular ship which means everybody can have it. It is up to clan players to choose will they use it or not. If there is a need for nerf that nerfs should not change her concealment or maneuverability. Alen M Sumner is not a same class as Gearing so why should her have same stats as Gearing. In that case WG could simple put PA version of Gearing instead. Fact that Yueyang outspot Shima to me mean that Shima need some buffs not neft to Yueyang. There is no need to nerf guns. She already can't torps DDs which is a HUGE diference and WG give her a good guns to reduce effect of that. They are not better than Gearing because they were the same guns. But if there is a need to nerf something than torps would be an obvious choice. She is performing well but maybe some other ships like Shima and Gearing could get some buffs instead. Shima concealment should be lower to 5.6-5.7km for start. This is not a Yueyang fault. Gearing model is wrong and old. WG should change it and make it better. But I don't see any reason to nerf Yueyang because of this.

Is there some change to fit it at T7. I don't think that RN has enough T7 premium battleships. Definitely. Needs more premiums at tier 7. seriously, A tier 8 Royal Navy battleship would be nice. I hope for a Warspite-ish battleship with very high accuracy, strong AP, and tanky. This ship would fit very well to that.

Well WG tried to balance it with concealment, hydro and torps while she was 3x2 and so far keep all of that when upgraded to 4x2 configuration. I don't mind hydro, torps maybe should be reverted, maybe not depending on how she will be on test but that concealment should go. She had good concealment previously but this one will only heart IJN DDs even more. Now you can use TRB on Shira because she has the best concealment at T7, but if Cossack keep 5.7km concealment (and hydro) you won't have other option but to use smoke as she can't either outgun or outrun Cossack and Cossack has hydro to spot your torps much earlier and also has nice maneuverability to dodge them.

She will need a little more health than that just as nice buff in AA. Nurnberg also has RoF 10 RPM and still is far from being a top T6 ship. I don't know it looks like T6 candidate to me. Also nice bridge, with that much windows nobody will be able to snick on her Maybe but she still has less health than T8 Cleveland. No doubt she could work but just because of Helena (my love) I wouldn't like it. But that is just my opinion. Yes WG give us T8 Savannah with 8sec reload and torpedo bulges. I promise I'll buy her She looks huge, she has enormous superstructure, I don't think that anybody could miss it. She could have paint a target circle on it as well. Wonder what concealment would be on that ship as she looks larger than Donskoi.

This ship will have less health than Nurnberg, I doubt it could work at T7, T5 or T6 would be max for this ship. I don't think it would be a good idea to put it at T8 because of Helena. Also HP pull would be quite low as she would have less health than Cleveland. Late war Savannah is probably the best choice for US premium CL as her increased displacement, still lower than Cleveland tho, would give her enough HP for T8. Almirante Tamandare could work at T8 but she will require buffs concerning HP. Still just because of Helena I wouldn't like that. Maybe T8. She had only 8 guns and would have less health than Cleveland, she would need some serious buffs to work at T9.

Well German T9 and T10 and IJN T9 has 6 guns with those 2x8 torp launchers. Fletcher has 2x5 torp configuration with those 5 guns. Both Marcilio Dias and Acre are lacking HP for higher tiers. Also both ships have bad AA for higher tiers with Marcilio Dias with only 4x20mm guns. There is no way that Acre be any higher than T7 and Marcilio Dias would need serious buffs for T9. Anything stealthier than IJN ship would just put those ships in even worse state. Anything with worse concealment then IJN would need more firepower and HP to survive.

Acre class with 4 guns, 2x3 torps could be T7 at best but more likely T6. Marcilio Dias is based on Mahan and with 5 guns and 2x4 would better fit at T8. With some buffs maybe T9 but no way that it could be a T10. Unless there is a some paper design T10 should be one of Brazilian Allen M. Sumner/Gearing destroyers.

None of them can and one united tree line is the best choice. Or we can end with something like this: Argentine: T9 DD - Fletcher T10 DD - Allen M. Sumner/Gearing Brazil: T9 DD - Fletcher T10 DD - Allen M. Sumner/Gearing Chile: T9 DD - Fletcher T10 DD - Allen M. Sumner Columbia: T9 DD - Fletcher T10 DD - Allen M. Sumner If we put there a Mexico guess what would be their T9 and T10 DD? Yup Fletcher and Allen M. Sumner/Gearing again. And imagine if everyone of them would have their own gimmick. Even with one united line there will be quite a number of paper ship designs.

Well not that her AA was much better previously. Fourth 4.7inch mount is way more useful that 4inch mount we had before. Especially as she doesn't have DAA. She should be fine now but I really hope they will revert her concealment to previous value.

Well I guess it is much better this way. Every thread on Reddit where Belgrano was mentioned ends with quite a number of posts deleted because of bad language and offends. Hell I would rather see it in the game as Boise but in the end it is WG call so we get NdJ. I guess there is a lot of people there who have their preferences about some ship. But it is understandable that not all of them could be included in the game. How could they there were so many ships, hell Fletcher class alone had over 170 ships and you could probably find someone for every one of them who would want it in the game for some reason. But it is on WG to decide which will be included and which don't. Also there are some differences between Boise and Phoenix, just like NdJ and Belgrano. So even if they rename it it won't be a same model and it will require some changes. I doubt that would happen.

All of them had X mount removed and replaced with 4inch mount, including the Cossack, except two lost during the Norway Campaign. All those built after in Canada and Australia had either 3x2 4.7inch + 1x2 4inch all 4x2 4inch configuration.

Buff? I think she needs at least one nerf. She get her X turret back but still keep all the things WG added/buffed while trying to balance her in 3x2 configuration like 10km torps, hydro and that ridicules 5.7 detection range with CE! She only loose some AA but her AA was garbage anyway so that is not a big loss. She can keep hydro, maybe even torp range but concealment has to be reverted to first value (6.1km with CE). With 5.7km concealment she is taking the only major advantage left to IJN DDs at T6-T7 and will be able to outspot all T8 DDs but Kagero/Harekaze. Now that she got back her fourth turret there is no need for that anymore. She should be just good without it, she will be able to bring at least 6 guns in action at any time and that would be basically the same firepower as GM. It would be wrong to try to balance her to be on the same level as GM or even better then GM is already a too good to be at T7.

Well this is still unconfirmed but there is a possibility that Cossack will get his fouth (X) turret back (0.7.4). Does anybody has access to gamemodels3d to try to confirm this?

Well Helena is probably the most famous Brooklyn/St.Louis class ship and many expected to be a premium ship. But WG choose her to be a regular cruiser. Boise as a US cruiser had a nice record, just like several her other sisters like Nashville, Honolulu and Phoenix, and all four had distinguished service in the Solomons during 1942-43 and later. As Argentinian ship she is less know then General Belgrano but Belgrano is famous for all wrong reasons, mostly by the fact that it was sunk by nuclear submarine. I personally would like Boise or Honolulu or generally any Brooklyn class as a US premium ship, not much eager for Argentinian ship. But in this case I dislike more the way WG is trying to balance these ships by making what seems generally a not good ship but trading that for very powerful consumable. And leaving radar only available behind pay-wall is a BS.
