Like give it even less range or shorter duration? I doubt, as radar on HY is already too short to be viable choice and Chung Mu one is not much longer but at least you can use Radar Upgrade. BS explanation for BS buff.

I don't like idea and considering all other examples like Black, Belfast and first iteration of PA DDs just support my opinion that it is also a stupid idea. I found radar YY really good and even though you consider it situational and prefer smoke imagine having that smoke and radar too. Well I personally think that this is a little too much and definitely not something that this game need. -

So you want to make her even less popular which could result in Grozo getting hydro too Nerffing concealment won't change much unless she get worse concealment than her radar range. I payed exclusively radar YY in the ranked and, smoke or no smoke, by itself radar is very powerful tool. If enemy DD smoke up you can get closer to smoke and radar ship inside for you and your teammates, if you are spotted you can see who is spotting you. Radar with smoke will give you even more flexibility. Sorry but I think that you underestimate value of that combo. Sure in noob hands it would be less powerful but in the hands of any competent player it has quite a potential to impact the game. Will the this end on live server or maybe nerfed is total irrelevant now as we can only speculate on the info we have now. All other assumptions are just wishful thinking. -

I don't think that radar Grozo will brake the game. In the end it is a DD with limited HP and most important it could be sunk by any other ship in the game. But also I don't think that this is a good for balance or game generally. Radar is very powerful tool especially combined with smoke. There are already two ships that have this combo and both are very powerful (or OP if you want) ships. Yes you can play around this or adapt your playstyle but it is undeniable that this is giving other side an advantage and initiative as there is very little immediate counterplay as you can either run or wait till radar ends and hope for the best. Even if WG decide to put radar and smoke on the same slot, while it would maybe be more acceptable, I still would think that that is not a good idea. Whole Soviet DD subline was unbalanced. You go from torpedoboat at T8 to gunboat at T9 to hybrid at T10 which is not particularly good as either torpedoboat or gunboat. This mean that transferring captain from one ships to another with progression is not adequate way to get the best from it. I think that WG should try something else, either make it quite good torpedoboat or quite good gunboat first before slapping more consumables, especially such powerful as radar as the last thing that T10 DDs need is even more radar. Also not sure if you remember the time when PA DDs, during the test phase, had both radar and smoke. Do you remember what happen to that idea? Yup radar/smoke combo is really bad idea and we definitely don't need it more in the game. It is mechanic that is not easy to counterplay or fun to fight against it. -

I don't think that DD could shatter 203mm HE. 203mm already pen DD armour and as far as I know HE don't care about angling. So you already receiving full pen from 203mm HE and this armour change won't change that. -

13mm means that 203mm AP will overmatch DD bow and stern which mean if DD is angled it could receive full AP pen. So if you angle against CAs you can eat some quite significant damage if they are using AP and considering their accuracy and RoF this won't be a nice experience. -

Are these the only two option we get, to get s****** by BBs or by CAs. Tell me what is a difference between having hit by BBs which shoot every 25 to 30sec for 4k per shell or in the same period being hit by 2 or 3 salvos from CAs for +1.8k per shell. Considering accuracy of their guns I would take BB over CA every day. This is a bad solution. It just fix one thing but create bunch of other problems for DDs. And it still doesn't fix a problem of double damage by BB shell on angled DDs. If I'm not wrong reduction of DD armour was tested once on PTS just to be reverted back to old values. I doubt WG revered it because it was a good solution. -

10 - 13sec reload for is not slow. Not that T7 - T8 DDs have much health either. This is the last thing they need. They meet T9 and T10 CAs and BBs too. -

With good aimed salvo you can easily deal 3k to 5k which is quite a big chunk of DD HP. And you can't compare Khaba with all other DDs and use it as an example. Especially since this nerf to DD armour won't touch Khaba's 50mm plate armour so she will be less hit this changes than all other DDs. I think that this change is stupid and will only make DDs even more vulnerable to secondaries and cruisers. And seems like it won't even remove the major problem of double damage from single BB shell. It would be also significantly nerf Z-46 and Z-52 AP damage to DDs as their 128mm needs 21mm armour to fuse. This is probably the least painful nerf to PA DDs WG could find. I don't see any problem here. -

Yes but no IFHE will mean that there are cases where you can't deal damage with main guns at all. Soon as target angle to you you can't do a crap except spam it and hope for either it turn or fire. Not using IFHE will reduce effectiveness of Aki guns. -

Yes it will. Without IFHE Aki wouldn't be able to pen more 17mm which means every superstructure or armour plate that is 19mm with shatter your shells. For example Aki won't be able to pen hull side plates of Indy or NO or Yamato superstructure. And AP on angled ships won't deal much damage if any. IFHE will still be preferable but this way playing Akizuki without 14pt captain will be less stressful. -

If this get on live then Zao's 12km torps will be significant buff. I would be happy with 10km torps but I wouldn't mind getting 12km either. And this torps won't replace F3 so for those who like their fast 8km torps they would be able to choose them. Fletcher torps on Gearing is probably one of the oldest request. I think that when I started this game some 2 and half years ago there were lot of people who requested this to be implemented. I really hope this will go to live. Fletcher torps are really good but even more this will mean 30sec less for reload comparing to current Gearing torps. This will be really good buff to Gearing and give her something over YY which overshadows her in many fields. Now if WG could just update/change her game model and bring her closer to YY look that would be great. -

I have only one game and it ended with 9 citadels, 2 kills and 80k+ damage. On the other side there were only 2 or 3 BBs per side a lot of cruisers so quite good MM for Pepsi. Slow turrets could be annoying if you need to actively avoid shells but I think it is a really strong T6 ship. Getting free camo due having it on T6 Cleveland is a nice plus too. I like her so far and will definitely keep her.

No, it is not problem with balancing 6"/47 for high tiers that delayed arrival of Worcester and the rest of CLs. All CAs and Cleveland were added to live server for testing one update before and are released one update before. This is probably due economic/practical reasons. This way WG give you more content over the time, not just one line that three month wait for the next, and made people play new reshuffle US CAs line instead of them going straight to grind CLs with barely touching the ships they already played only one tier higher. And the fact that WG haven't done this before doesn't mean that they will not do same in the future. French line already was split in two updates with lot of thematic content like Campaign and Scenario based on French ships. We have same now for US cruiser split.

All high tier BBs are already fast so that could only work on lower tier. T8 to T10 BBs already have all characteristics both of BBs and BCs - speed, armour and armament. Split could only work from T3 to T7 when both lines should merge in one. -

My mistake, sorry. From what I watches her maneuverability is not bad. While her (fictional) engine has less power she is a smaller and lighter than Cleveland so there shouldn't be lot of problems. Dallas, Helena, Cleveland shells are same, not sure for Seattle and Worcester but I think they are the same or very similar. Dallas is not a Cleveland, she'll never be a Cleveland. She is weaker ship with average armament, average HP, average ... well everything. Still I'll give her a chance and see, who knows maybe she won't be that bad. Anyway I have to play here to get Helena, I never before skipped ship by using FXP and I won't do that now. I can complain/regret but I can't change anything. Tonight I said ferwell to my beloved T6 Cleveland, tomorrow I will see what new T8 Cleveland can do.

Dallas has some 7k HP less than Cleveland and shells for both Cleveland and Dallas are same, same velocity, same damage. Both ships are using the same guns and same shells for the guns. Only difference is reload time and turret rotation. If I'm not wrong even range is the same or almost the same.

According to some screenshots from other servers after 0.7.5. this is not a time to grind T8-T10 DDs. With 6 to 7 Clevelands per game and some Baltimore and Buffalo on that, this is not a healthy time to play DDs. Maybe wait week or two till things get back to normal.

WG probably want to diversify scenarios and to create some that will be theme based, like Hermes or Cherry Blossom. This should motivate players to try other classes and nations too not just stick with one and demand that everything should be available to him. I'm playing almost exclusively Cruisers and Destroyers. Still I wouldn't mind if WG create scenario based on the Battle of Jutland where only BBs should be allowed or the Battle of Midway where players would be encouraged to use CVs. Then maybe I would consider playing BBs or CVs more. I don't see why is this such a big deal. Well if/when Commonwealth get T8 Cruiser I guess it should be included too. WG decided for their own reasons to use only T8 allies ships. In RL event on which scenario was based only 4 Cleveland class cruiser and 8 Fletcher class DD took part on the US side. NO class cruises did took part in many night battles in the Solomons but I don't think this matter much for this scenario. BTW Atlanta class cruisers, USS Atlanta and USS Juneau took part in only one night action in the Solomons, the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal were both were lost. After that all other cruisers of the Atlanta class were used only in AA escort role as they were considered to vulnerable for close combat.
