    Yueyang module is particularly bad. I doubt anyone will use it. But I'll still try to get it, who knows maybe WG will change it some day to something useful.

    ST. Balance changes. Soviet cruiser Stalingrad, tier X. Part of Stalingrad's casemate with 180 mm armor belt is recategorized as citadel, effectively making the citadel bigger. Currently the cruiser is showing higher than average effectiveness and such change should promote a more careful and diligent playstyle among Stalingrad's captains.
  3. As far as I understand from now you'll only get steel, not ships, by reaching R1 over three or five seasons but you'll get enough steel to buy them.

    I said "MY GUESS" I didn't say that I know that for sure. But the fact is that just after WG decided to give Grozo a heal instead of radar they are reducing number of smokes and speed boosts. I doubt that they are doing that because she is underperforming.

    My guess that Grozo with heal was way to strong so WG is now trying to keep that heal by sacrificing something else like smoke and engine boost so that it could "feel" balanced. Maybe standard hydro, not German one, would be a better choice than heal as it could help Grozo to fill more safe in his smoke? Maybe different torpedoes choice, 10km one which deal more damage and 13km+ which deal less damage? Well definitely more gun range, which she will got and that is a good thing. Wonder if WG stick with DD armour change how will it affect Grozo but I think that buffing the ships before they decide what to do with DD armour is not a good idea.

    Yes. But why stop there. How about consumable that counter radar countering consumable so that you can use your radar consumable. Then you can add consumable that counter consumable that counter radar countering consumable so you can counter enemy radar consumable. After that you can add consumable that counter ..... There is unlimited potential for this. While I partly agree with this, adding more ships with radar like Kronshtadt, Stalingrad, Nueve de Julio is just making things worse. And WG is giving radar to any ship quite easily for purpose of balancing/improving like recent case with Grozovoi. Luckily they give up on this after a lot of pressure from player-base but I doubt that soon we won't see some other attempts to add radar to premium or regular ships. If I'm not wrong they answered that they won't change MM to take radar ships in to account. If they decide there is a problem with radar balance (big if) they'll change radar mechanic rather than MM.

    Last year summer sale was in July. Only T7 and T8 ships were sold in one ship per day offer, with 50% discount for T7 and 30% discount for T8. All in all 7 or 8 ships, if I'm not wrong, were offered. Hope it will be similar this year as I would be interested in Kidd and some other ships.
  8. So YY (not so) "legendary" upgrade is still a total garbage. To sacrifice 10% of concealment, 5% of dispersion when enemy is shooting at you, 15% of smoke and 15% of radar for 10% of gun and torpedo reload? Even on 6th slot would be highly questionable, at 5th slot is definitely not worth it. Still not attractive. Changing 5% of concealment for 15% of torpedo reload is not worth it.

    A Proposed Change to Radar

    Options like "make radar see only ships in direct line of sight aka radar don't work behind islands" or "make only radar ships see target while all other don't" are not practical. US CAs and CLs are balanced to use cover and hug islands. Both options would make their radars quite useless or having very limited impact as they would basically have to go into open or show more of themselves to effectively use their radars which considering their armour could be quite dangerous for them. Making radar "breakable" is also not an option. Players pay for premium consumables and some even use their upgrades like SRM1. If they radar would "breakable" they would be quite angry especially if you "brake" it early in the game. Adding mechanics like radar jamming would be counterproductive as now you have radar consumables and if you add consumable or captain skill that could jam radar could then lead to request to additional consumables or captain skill that will remove effect of jamming and so and so ... I don't think that this would be a good thing. Mechanics that would make radar ship visible while radaring is also a bad idea. In that case radar YY would pointless as he would be also visible to everybody and he has to drop his smoke to be able to use that radar. Also if you are radared and ship start to shoot at you it will be visible to anybody anyway. Balancing number of radar ships would be a good thing but I doubt that this will happen at least not soon. And that still won't fix the problem of having to much radar ships at higher tiers. Generally I think that WG should think about adjusting radar duration times and radar cd times. With more radar ships this needs to be adjusted or game will become one giant radar fiesta. I doubt that US CA/CLs, RN CLs, PA DDs and Soviet CA/CLs will remain only ships that have radar. Almost every new high tier US or Soviet ship already have or potentially would have radar. We can expect them on RN CAs and probably some other lines. Adjusting radar duration/range and cool down is easiest thing to do and I think that that is a way to go. At least for start.
  12. She is a still a big ship and has over one third "heavier" than DM. She could easily get around 60k or more HP. WG can give her Salem heal to bring her closer to Stalingrad, better maneuverability and concealment and voila, you have T10 cruiser that is comparable with Stalingrad. She could fit both at T9 or T10 depending what WG want her to be. You are forgetting that with introduction of coal and steel there will be a way to obtain any ship in the game, except ships like Gremy, Nikolai etc. Who knows maybe they will to be purchasable but for some ridicules price. What I want to say is that no matter how and at what tier Alaska enter the game anybody will be able to obtain her one way or another.
  13. With that much AA, Alaska class as T7 battleship would be ridicules. Class has more AA than in game Buffalo and it could meet T5 CV. Alaska and Stalingrad should both be T10 cruisers. Kroni on the other hand should be T7 BB. Also what would be point of having a same ship in two (marginally different but generally the same) roles on two such distant tiers. They would still have same RoF, same shells, same armour. If it is good to be at T9/T10 that it is way to good to be at T7. It would be totally pointless.

    I think that radar duration should be reduced at least for T9 and T10 US/RN radar. While they increase in range from T8 to T10 I think that all should have 30sec duration. With SRM 1 you can increase duration to 42sec for T9 and T10. Even that is too long but having 56sec radar or even over 1min with "legendary" upgrade for Worcester is ridicules. They will still have longer duration radars than Soviets. Except for that I wouldn't mind if radar mechanics stays as now.

    Upcoming Roon / Hindenburg reload nerf

    Let's try like this, majority of Stalingrad hull armour is 50mm except 25mm upper bow and aft plate and belt armour. So Hindy would be the only cruiser that could pen that with HE, all others will only be able to deal HE damage on Superstructure or those bow and aft upper 25mm armour. Similarly for Khaba, Hindy is the only cruiser which could pen her 50mm armour plate. Both @Exocet6951 and I commented on this Hindy ability. Sure you can deal HE damage with any T10 cruiser but only on parts which their HE could pen. Is German HE weak? Yes it is. But unlike all others they can pen any part of BB, except belt armour and turret faces. I don't say that this is justification for nerf but if you are talking about HE than you have to consider this too as it is important fact and seems like more and more ships are getting those 50mm plating (Moskva buff for example). Other 203mm cruiser can't do this even with IFHE. Well if you don't think that will not change anything than why are you against it. My guess this is nerf based on WG stats. They are seeing that Hindy is outperforming other cruisers in one way or another and they decided for slightly nerf. My guess Roon is just a victim of standardisation so that T9 don't have faster reload than T10.

    Except Hindy is the only T10 Cruiser which HE could penetrate 50mm of armour without IFHE, and only HIV of all others could do that with IFHE. Well until Stalingrad arrive.

    I did it my first game of the night with Buffalo but just barely as my team was about to lose but I succeeded to kill enemy Chapi in the last second of the game. But I agree anything more than two requirements per mission is bad especially requirement that doesn't depend on you like winning the game. Now have to somehow collect that 10mil of potential damage.

    So basically all DDs shell fuses need to be adjusted or they AP will be totally ineffective against other DDs. Just great. I don't know, while WG is trying to reduce AP damage on DDs somehow sims like DDs get the short end of the stick. But hey at least Grozo is getting a radar so .... yaaaaaaaaaaaaay, go DDs.

    Yes she'll stay at T7 and probably be a "Gimmick Freakshow" as she is basically a first iteration of Cossack which was garbage. Sure some buffs/gimmicks were added like hydro, more health and Perth smoke but guns were the same which was the main complain about T7 Cossack performance.

    Counter the radar!

    I don't have anything against current radar mechanic. Sure if you are playing DD it could be annoying but on the other side if you are playing radar ship, it could be a fun. As I mostly play DD and CA/CLs I don't mind that radar works as it works now. Radar is powerful tool but it could be work around, learn something about radar ship, ranges, cooldown and so and so. Play more careful, sure you'll lose some heath here and there but as long as you are alive you can contribute to your team. But what I don't like is increase of numbers of radars. It seems like WG is giving radar around as candies recently. First PA DDs get radar as alternate to smoke, which kind off make this acceptable even though I think that radar on DDs is a bad idea. Then US split with all those radar ships make things even worse. Yes, this US cruisers heavy meta could (will) be only temporary but it is undeniable that currently is making DD life quite miserable. In the same time we are getting two new Soviet premium "cruiser" and both have long range radar. And the new Pan American premium T7 cruiser again with long range radar. And another DD, Grozovoi, now could get radar. And soon there could be another US premium cruiser, Salem, with radar available for coal. FFS can WG find some other way to balance ship than radar or at least spread a little release of radar ships. Fighting against team with two or three radars could be frustrating but I think it is not a bid problem if team supports their DDs, But fighting 5 or more radars is a nightmare. If team don't support DDs they can't do much except yo-yoing forward and backward between radar activations. And BTW WG can you please take number of radar ships into account for MM. Pretty please. Having 1 vs 5 radar ships, the most extreme case I ever had, it's not fun at all.

    WG increased concealment for Haida I guess Cossack will get the same treatment because if it stay as current than it would be ridicules. At T8 I would prefer 10km torps as she'll regularly see T10 and a loooooooooooot of radar ship. With 8km torps she will be really challenging ship to play at that bracket.
