Is a Pan-European tech tree wanted?

I don't know. I don't say it is impossible but De Zeven Provinciën would require a lot of gimmicks at T8. She would have less health than any other T8 CL and with just 8 guns she would struggle to have same impact as Cleveland or Chapayev. And she don't have anything beside that like torps or secondaries, only decent AA but even that is far from Cleveland or Baltimore levels. Her belt armour is 76mm max, turret armour is better than UK CLs but worse than US or Soviets. While muzzle velocity is not bad, better than US/UK 152mm worse than Soviets 152mm, shells weight is comparable with German 150mm or Italian 152mm which means not great HE, at least not as good as Cleve and Chapy HE. Even with rof of 10 RPM, with let say 2.1k damage that is just 168 000 DPM which is the worst among T8 and far from best even among T7 CLs. This comparable with Duca degli Abruzzi which has two more guns but lower rof. To fit it at T8 she would require a smoke or heal or both. And probably something more on top of that like maybe better AP angles. DDs at T8 and higher tends to have better DPM. Personally I don't see how she could fit at T8, event T7 is questionable considering ships like Belfast, Fiji or Helena. At T8 she would be probably be something very similar to Huang He at T6, ship that is completely balanced and dependable on consumable combination. There is one other option tho, some fictional modernization with four triple instead of double turrets. Maybe not historically correct but if you want this ship at T8 I think that this could be a way to go.

What ships are you taking out in Ranked?

Only two ships for me - YY and Worcester. Also have and Zao but I probably won't use it. This will be a hard season for DDs whit all those radar and hydro. Still don't expect much from this season, anything in R5-10 bracket would be nice.

Is a Pan-European tech tree wanted?

240mm is little to big to be considered as secondary guns. And that would leave only two double 305mm turrets as a main battery just as Mikasa and that doesn't sound fun. Which one? Original design or actually built one? Well both have somewhat less displacement than Cleveland and no torps, original design has 10 152mm guns, built version only 8 in four turrets. Even with 10 RPM and good arcs they would still need to be balanced by consumables combinations and gimmicks. Imagine Abruzzi at T8? Not sure about T8 but I would like to see original design as T7 tho.

Is a Pan-European tech tree wanted?

My guess would be one of Tegetthoff class battleships for Austro-Hungarians. Major problem with Radetzky class is different calibers of the main battery guns - 2x2 305mm and 4x2 240mm. WG so far avoided all ships with similar configuration. If they decide to go with Radetzky that would be a first ship with that mechanic and will open possibilities for other ships of that kind like all those ww1 armoured cruisers. Or some fantasy modernisation with same caliber guns for all turrets. Personally would prefer Isaac Sweers for Dutch premium but for cruisers I think that one of Trump sisters would be the best candidate. Both of them are different enough from the rest of cruisers and both could be unique premium for the line. Eendracht/De Zeven Provinciën class as designed with 2x3 152mm could be good T7 candidate.

    Legendary upgrade: YY

Just moved on the other slot it would be straight buff to YY. But in the current state is useless as for little more DPM you are losing all that make YY a great ship, in first place her concealment. Even with improved gun reload ships like Harugumo and Daring will still be able to out-DPM YY and with 6.5km concealment even the Harugumo would have better one. It is badly designed upgrade, hope that WG will change it to something more useful.
  6. Thread on NA forum from July https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/165859-france-crusier-brennustier-x/ Yes now they have but when Brennus was added it have Reload Module and HIV didn't

Is a Pan-European tech tree wanted?

According to Mr_Conway, WG left possibility that one day countries like Poland or Netherlands could separate from Pan European Tree but for now they will part of it.
  8. I think that it is just a test ships for reload module. It was added earlier in 0.7.7.

Some interesting info around the world

ST. Royal Navy competition, port London and Arsenal Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary. Starting with update 0.7.9 there is a new event in the game – “Royal Navy” - which was timed to the release of British destroyers. The event will last for 3 updates untill 0.7.11. During this competition, each update will have 4 rounds. Each round equals a new week and has 4 stages, each stage has 5 to 7 tasks. There is a corresponding reward, like in-game stuff, Guineas and Sovereigns, for completing a round, stage or task. You can be doing all tasks simultaneously, however, getting access to the next stage is only possible after completing certain number of tasks in the previous one. There is no limit to how many tasks you can be doing at the same time, unless stated otherwise. All stages are available for completion until the end of the tour. After completing all stages, access to the Hall of Fame is unlocked, where players compete for being the absolute best. Update of London port is timed to British destroyers release. A new temporary category “Royal Navy” and two temporary currencies – Sovereigns and Guineas - are added to the game. There are two new Royal Navy containers – standard and premium. All that could be found in the containers: signals, consumable camouflages, sovereigns and chance to get one of the British destroyers in early access: Acasta, tier V, Icarus, tier VI, Jervis, tier VII, Lightning, tier VIII. Sovereigns can be spent on a new camouflage, signals, Bert Dunkirk commander, premium ships Warspite and Gallant, permanent special camouflage for Gallant and standard container Royal Navy. Players can spend Guineas on a discount for premium destroyer Cossack tier VIII. The amount of discount depends on gaming activity. Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary.

    Legendary upgrades

Well if you think that everything you get from WG you have to work for that why is this a problem?
  11. fumtu

    Legendary upgrades

No they didn't. Not sure what was the highest point you can get before they changed Captain skills, 18 or 19. Anyway those who get the captain with highest skill before introduction of Commander XP were not awarded/compensated for playing with Highest point captain and not getting anthing. No they didn't. They compensate people who reached a R1 but not all those who played. If you not familiar with what I'm talking about just look how will Steel be awarded in net season. What pattern? You are more experienced on that ships than new T10'ers so this should be a less problem to you. And they don't have it easier then you, they have same missions as you. They are probably just more motivated to play T10 then you but then that is your problem not theirs. It is a same thing for every single player. Everybody without exception has to do same missions it they want those upgrades. They could make those missions less grindy but they didn't. But at least they are not restricted by date and you can take your time to get them. In the end it is up to players to decide are they worth that time. To me that is a fair.
  12. fumtu

    Legendary upgrades

But then you can say that for almost anything. Should all those who had Captain with Highest point before introduction of Commander XP get it retroactive for all XP they grinded with that captain in between? Or, now that WG is introducing a steel rewards in ranked by progression should they compensate all those who played ranked since the first season as a token of appreciation for they dedication? You already got a lot from WG for sticking with a game for as long as you are. Now you are asking for more just because you find it convenient for you. What about those that already spent their time to grind those updates, should they receive something as compensation as they could get those upgrades for free? If you want those upgrades you should grind them like all those who already did. It is not like WG is not stimulate players to play T10 ships in CW and Ranked anyway.

    Monaghan mission ?

Yup it is a bug. It also reset my 9dJ mission and give me back all Boise 3xHP missions. Just ignore it.

    T9&10 incoming balance desaster

Not sure what you consider "classic DD". To me RN DDs are classic DDs in the same way as US DDs, KM DDs and PA DDs are (event tho they are hybrids all of them could be used as good torpedoboats). Still none of them is as popular as IJN classic DD line and I doubt that in long term any will be. If you look at weekly numbers of ships by number of players, Aki, Kagero and Shima consistently have almost twice as much players as the second best at respective tier. Only Yugumo is very close with Fletcher. Considering how much IJN DDs suffer from powercreep this is really surprising. I think that debating about possible changes to radar is useless as there is no info how and if at all this will happen. It is undeniable that proliferation on radar ships at higher tiers, and together with all other things, makes DD lives much more challenging making impact of the good DD players over average/bad DD players for the outcome of the game more pronounced. Smoke mechanic is already changed, AA will be changed together with CV rework so I don't see why radar should stay the same IF WG DECIDE that it is hurting the game in the current state. I don't see why is that a bad thing and I still think that it is a better way than introducing consumable that could jam radar.

    T9&10 incoming balance desaster

    - They can do so only if they use IFHE because even with 1/4, Kitakaze and Haragumo can't pen 25-27mm of armour of any T8-T10 cruisers but RN CLs. There are several other factors like those two DDs have worse concealment than any other classic DD, not counting here SU DDs, especially Haragumo they are quite big and less maneuverable than other classic DDs and way more easier target to all BBs, CA/CLs and even CVs in the end they are silver ships which means if they become to powerful they could always be nerfed - Spammy CA/CL are bad for classic DDs only because there is so many means to spot them, in first place by radar - This wouldn't be a problem if WG could restrain themselves from giving radar quite easily to new and old ships. While it is true that part of community overblow effect of radar it is still undeniable that they are impacting high tier games more and more. Seeing 4 to 5 radar ships or ships that could potentially have radar becoming more and more common. - I doubt that. Kitakaze and Haragumo will never reach popularity of Shima and other classic DDs. - Again I doubt. These two ships won't make DM, Hindy or Zao less desirable ships as, when played correctly, all of them could counter them. - BBs so far survived all the WG throw at them. I doubt this will change that. - So no. Meta might temporarily change but it will return to its usual after some time. Maybe for couple of weeks there will be more Kitakaze and Haragumo in queue but soon this will return to "normal" meta we have now. They are not easy ships to play and definitely not for everybody. And as soon as RN DDs would be released they number will drop in favour of new ships. And I doubt that Kitakaze and Haragumo will impact the game in any sense worse than sstaligrad or new T10 Alsace will. after all I'll never worry too much about silver ships as I said before thay can always be nerfed.
  16. Well it is not easy to use that kind of logic in WoWs. For example in Operations Cherry Blossom you can use Soviet ships although SU declared war to Japan almost two years latter and both Soviet ships that you can use were finished/built after ww2. WG could easily change limitations and allow PanAm ships in Hermes. After all this is just a game and WG is creating rules as they seem convenient to them. Personally I don't care much as I bought Boise and I'm still 110k far from 9dJ, but in this case I think that WG could bend a limitation and include 9dJ in the game, at least temporary as after all it is the only ship of PanAm tree and a ship of Allied nation too. After all it is known that only after Argentine and Chile declared the war to Germany, in March and April of 1945 respectively, that Germans finally realized that they are doomed and all resistance is futile so they capitulate before those two countries could bring the might of their armies to the front.
  17. Well the simplest solution would be to allow PanAm ships to Hermes too as before the end many of the South American countries joined Allies for a final victory even tho only Brazil took any significant part in the war. If WG allowed soviet ships in the Cherry Blossom don't see why they wouldn't do the same for PanAm ships in Hermes.

The game is stealing my collectibles

From one container you can only get one collectable item and one patch item. So that is how you get 2 duplicates, one is for collection and one for patches.

Some interesting info around the world

ST. Soviet Cruiser Stalingrad Tier X Basic visibility changed from 18.72 to 18.12 km. Visibility during firing in a smoke from Main Battery has been reduced from 15.58 to 14.87 km. “Defensive AA Fire” consumable has been added to the extra slot: Number of charges: 2 (Defensive AA Fire l) and 3 (Defensive AA Fire ll). Reload time: 240 (Defensive AA Fire l) and 180 (Defensive AA Fire ll). Duration: 60 seconds. AA damage increase: +100%. These are final changes and soon this ship will be added to the Arsenal for steel exchange. We would like to sum up and anounnce the cruisers final statistics. Stalingrad is a heavy cruiser with an impressive 305 mm caliber and significant combat capacity – 72 450. The ship has two types of ammunition: High-explosive (HE) and Armor-piercing (AP). HE characteristics: Initial velocity – 950 m/sec; maximum damage – 4500; chance of fire – 33%. AP characteristics: Initial velocity – 950 m/sec; maximum damage – 9200; Reduced shell arming threshold – 34 mm; improved ricochet angle settings: automatic ricochet happens at 65 degrees and possible ricochet may happen at 55 degrees. Reload time – 20 seconds, Sigma value of 2.65. The ship has the same dispersion ellipse as Graf Spee. It’s more than an average cruiser has, but less in comparison to a typical battleship. Maximum firing range - 20 350 meters. Armour – 25 mm. It’s worth mentioning that armour of casemate and the forward armour belt is 50 mm and with good citadel armour. This gives good potential to avoid damage from cruisers high-explosive shells and even ricochet the biggest shell in the game (460 mm) at acute angles. Number of charges of “Damage Control Party” is infinite. “Repair Party” restores 33% of citadel’s damage. Fire duration – 45 seconds. Detectability radius of Stalingrad is comparable to that of battleships at tier X. The large citadel is the same as that found on the cruiser 'Moskva'. All of which makes Stalingrad players carefully pick his battles and choose his maneuvers wisely. The Cruisers ballistics allow effective fire at any distance with a high chance of penetration. The unique dispersion ellipse gives this ship pretty high accuracy but at the same time is less efficient than that of any other tier X cruiser. The main goal for Stalingrad is to fire against heavily armored targets with armor-piercing shells which deal a lot of damage. Due to reduced shell arming threshold and high-explosive shells this cruiser may battle with other ships as well. It’s worth noting that reduced shell arming threshold has been reduced from 51 to 34 mm and that allows shells to arm at light and medium armored targets and deal more consistent damage. It looks like Stalingrads guns have everything needed to make this cruiser a versatile ship, however, its reload time is 20 seconds. To reach maximum efficiency, having a relatively low damage per minute and requirements to its commander, this cruisers owner should chose targets wisely and keep their distance. “Defense AA Fire” gives Stalingrad protection from aircraft attacks for a long period of time. It also increases bomb dropping zone and torpedoes of the enemys aircraft for a minute, though does not give a boost of AA efficiency like other ships with similar consumables. After using this consumable cruiser will be vulnerable to aircraft because of the cooldown of 3-4 minutes. In summary, this cruiser could be effective against any ship class: the amount of HP allows it to fight against battleships, its armor-piercing shells will frighten any cruiser, and destroyers and aircraft carriers can be countered with consumables like “Surveillance Radar” and “Defense AA Fire”. However, players should be attentive to the battle situation. In unfavorable circumstances Stalingrad won’t be able to change position quickly because of weak maneuverability characteristics and the large dimensions of her hull. It will also important to pay attention to close combat situations where Stalingrad is especially vulnerable because of her large citadel and poor agility.
  20. Not sure where you get those Soviet BBs. Seems like they planning to introduce RN DDs from Update 0.7.9 and CV rework till the end of the year. One more surprise whatever that could be.
  21. Usually get only two containers daily. First one is Signals and second is Resources. If I get third container than usually I try Supercontainer.

    Why nerf Hindenburg ?

Lot of those games were before IFHE was introduced to the game as wows-numbers.com shows stats for all time. But if you are taking those stats as relevant you can see that Dallas is doing fine, and by those stats it is a best silver cruiser at T6. Ironically your stats with Dallas are better than your stats with T6 Cleveland. To me Dallas is OK ship, especially if you have IFHE. I completed grind to Helena without IFHE and i did just fine. It is maneuverable ships with decent AA and Hydro on a separate slot is nice. Sure is definitely not as powerful as Cleveland, neither something special but she is OK. This US CA/CL split was inevitable. I'm sorry to see T6 Cleveland go, she was my 5th most played ship, but I'm liking a T8 Cleveland even tho she gets T8 MM. She is not coming back to T6, not as a silver ship or as a premium. Remember good times and try to adapt to new stuff.

    Match results delay

Usually getting this problem when I start new game while my previous problem is not over. Not sure if this is related to that but that is the most common case when this bug happen in my case.

    Price of the T-61?

That would make her more expensive than Leningrad, Błyskawica or Sims and only 200 doubloons cheaper then Haida. That would be to much for T6 DD
  25. Did I said that JB is unsinkable? Let see: Of course I didn't but that didn't stop you from misusing my words didn't it. I was talking generally. Wonder what will be your reaction if they give her more health and better armour but worse armament. Also the fact that there are number of unbalanced (OP?) ships already in the game doesn't mean adding more would be a good thing.
