Only because there is no CVs in CWs. There were only couple of YYs in the KOTS simple because when there is a CV, radar doesn't look nearly as desirable as having a smoke and DFAA. I agree. Anything above 3.3sec reload is stupid simple because, gun output becoming equal or worse then Chung Mu which is ridicules. What is a point having more guns if they have slower reload.

Well I expected that YY would be nerfed sooner or later and I don't mind that it's been nerfed but I think this is too much, especially nerf to guns. It is even more amusing when you compare it to Chung Mu which stays unchanged. Wonder if this nerf was only due YY use in CWs. I mean it is currently one of the best DDs for competitive but only as long as THERE IS NO CV PRESENT. If CVs were allowed in CWs, no matter if it is using radar or smoke, YY wouldn't be able to compete with Gearing of Grozo for DD role. IMO nerfing guns to 3.3sec (same as Chung Mu) or either nerf to torpedos/torpedo reload, so nerfing just one of two major damage outputs, would have more sense. This way WG is castrating YY making it a hybrid which is not particularly good in anything as there are now far better options for hybrid role. -
While improved AP angles could work, mostly on players who don't know how to deal with it, there are situation where Daring & Jutland will struggle unless having IFHE. If somebody is showing bow/stern, AP won't do much damage and HE can only set fire as it can't pen almost anything. Any part of ship with 19mm thickness is immune to Daring HE. Sooner or later a lot of players will learn how to negate Daring/Jutland which is not using IFHE.

I doubt any of those two ships would be available for FXP and Split is definitely a T8 material. But by all account it would be nice to see them in the game one way or another. -

Well considering kind of premium FXP cruisers I wouldn't be surprised if first FXP DD would actually be something like this -
I played two more games in 8v8 format and, while it is still a small sample, I don't think there is much difference between 6v6 or 8v8 model. On some quite small maps like Big Race yes but generally not much. What is notable is that T5 ranked is so much less toxic or frustrating, at least for me. There is no such things like radar, HP pools are much lower, CV although still powerful have only autodrops, far less squads and less reserves. If WG somehow prevent usage of ships like GC, Kami or Gremy, T5 would be a very good choice for ranked. Unless of course are playing cruiser because those ships are really butchered by BBs. I think that if WG decided to do this experiment with T10 ship instead of T5, results and experience would be much different.

This. Only thing that did change over time is that before, if you have a premium ship that is not obtainable for doubloons, like Kami for example, it would be shown in the your tech tree. But as I remember, only premium ships you can see in tech tree are those that could be buy with doubloons.

Just keep in mind that you can get items from standard containers for only one collection. After next week update there will be another collection so check in your collections which one was set to collect items.

From LWM http://shipcomrade.com/?p=1572 Only thing that changed since then, officially, is the MBRB duration was reduced from 30sec to 20sec. And watching some other CCs playing it, while some are not satisfied how JB is balanced, all of them think that JB is a good ship. At least those I watch.

And why you are thinking that CVs or radar will be make useless against DDs? As far as I know even in CV rework it is still possible to spot and attack the DD. Hell if you are ready to sacrifice all your damage you can keep DD perma spotted, what is removed is that you can perma spot DD and at the same time attack some other distant target. WG so far only considering other ways of radar function. That doesn't mean that anything will change, just the something could change if they decide that radar could/should work differently. I don't see any reason to criticize it without knowing what are you actually criticize. You are totally ignoring the fact that unlike other high tier classes, DDs has the lowest health pool and only few of them have heal. On the other hand their main armament, torps, while having great threat of potential damage, are relatively slow and have slow reload. Their effectiveness could be easily negated by map awareness and changing direction and speed (WASD hacks). I don't understand what are you actually complaining or what are your proposals. Are you proposing to remove smoke or torps from DDs? Or change their concealment? Or give BBs a radar?

This. USS Salem never had aircraft catapults and even the in game model don't have them so ... no spotter plane. You want DM class cruiser with spotter plane? Then why don't play DM

OMNI vs TWA and OMNI vs O7 (especially last two) games were totally insane. Not that other games were bad or not interesting, far from it, but these two matches were really nail-bitters. It was a great tournament, thank you for all you have done to make it happen. Keep with a good work.

Basically not much has changed. WG is just testing the same format with different number of ships. I think that Ranked with T10 would still be a same sh**show as now no matter number of ships.

So far I have played only one game in Ranked Sprint 2. It was on the map Big Race and on such a small map it almost looked like random battle. It seems kinda too much. I'll try to play some more over the weekend but somehow I simple feel exhausted with the last one, and Halloween and RN Arc ... Will see, but for now I prefer 6v6 between these two modes. Wonder how much influence would divisions have on higher tiers where CVs tends to be much stronger.

I had a game where two last ships, Musashi and Iowa chased one other in circles showing clear broadsides and using only HE. I doubt that those players will suddenly change their playstyle if this AP change go live. There is already a lot of BB players who are rather using HE even in situation where using AP would produce better results. For those players this change would mean nothing. And those who are using only AP will now have to switch HE from time to time. Yes that sound like really big impact. Pressing 1 and 2 here and there sounds like really really hard. But even if they fail in this they will still be able to deal a nice amount of damage to DD with every salvo. It is not like AP will suddenly because totally ineffective against DDs as AP pen will still remove 5-10% of DD health. And only very few can heal it back.

Well isn't everything just result in more BB border camping? Like they didn't do this before because AP could deal more damage to DD than it would will this rule. Sure. BB players who are now shooting only HE will still shoot only HE. BB players who know how to play will still know when to use AP and when HE. This wan't change anything in that matter.

Citadel is still really low, from the image it looks like somewhere at water level. Question is could her citadel be hit from close range now as that was impossible before. -

Even under other flags Soviet cruisers are nothing but Glorious Yes definitely sound stupid. I doubt that it will stay this way, I mean I really hope it won't. T10 torps and TRB at T8 ... I guess they have quite a party while designing this one -
