ST, Azuma In this publication we'd like to explain the reasons behind transferring Azuma from X tier to IX. When the new ship is added to the game, it's tier is decided with historical characteristics taken in account. In Azuma's case there was an idea to add it as a tier X IJN cruiser, but as testing has shown, balancing the ship would require too large of a deviation from the project's characteristics. We think that it's better for Azuma to be a good tier IX ship rather than weak tier X, so we've decided to make a transfer. Characteristics were adjusted accordingly, including the plating (30 mm thickness is a X tier cruisers trait). Accuracy became the main feature of the ship. We've noticed concerns about the Hydroacoustic Search being removed from Azuma. We understand this, but, considering all the ship's characteristics, the testing will go without this consumable. Later, if it suits the balance, the Hydroacoustic search may be brought back. But the idea to add an IJN tier X large cruiser hasn't gone. Thus we're working on the modernized version of Azuma, which will get torpedo launchers and strengthened AA and take it's place at tier X. Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary.

Watched Flamu playing RN CVs. Looks like T10, and maybe even T8, Implacable, is probably the most OP things ever added to this game. Wonder what other CC think about it.

How are RN DDs like Jutland and Daring now? Anybody try them yet? I think that their all AA is only Long and Mid range now.

If I understand this correctly, in 0.8.0 Salem will have "better" AA (whatever "better AA" would mean after patch) than DM simple because she doesn't have any 20mm guns and now her mid-range AA will cover from 0 to whatever range of her 76mm AA guns. I wish that WG had provide a little more/better explanations on how new AA mechanics works and what would all those numbers behind new Captain Skills and Upgrades actually means. Find some info on this video but I would like a more of them.

I don't see anything wrong here. WG has obligation to RU playerbase too. Also it is not like Soviet BBs would be the only line we will get this year. You have no idea do they have issues with obtaining documentations for all those lines you listed. There could be other reasons for delaying Italian line. Watching Flamu playing VU, this ship looked insane tanky. Flamu intentionally showed full broadside to enemy BB only to receive relatively small damage. If with 1.5 sigma her stats were too strong for T4 that means that her protection, maneuverability and concealment were really too good. Sure some of this could be tweaked but question is would ship than be fun to play. I don't think this decision has anything with history, just balance problems.

Is this finally happening? Can we hope that some other ships, like Fubuki, Gearing, Black and Flint, will someday get their models improved/corrected too?

Well if I wrongly understand you then I'm sorry, but this is how I understand your original statement.

First I never said anything about WG decision regarding their decision to put Azuma on T9. You have your opinion about that and that is just fine. You can like it or not, personally I don't care. I just disagree with your first statement in your post. Feel free to criticize WG for everything that they*edited*. But claiming that they somehow attracted players to collect steel specifically for Azuma only to change this later is wrong. WG never suggested anything like that and all this Azuma for steel is completely players assumption.

Not playing BBs is your choice. If Azuma is released for coal you can convert your steel if you don't have enough coal. Or wait for something else. But calling WG for something that they never even suggested but instead was only an assumption of some players*edited*

*edited*. WG never mentioned that Azuma will be sold for steel not her placement at T10 suggested that (look at Salem). And it is not like you don't have other options to spend steel or that your steel has some expiration date so unless you spend it you will loose it.

Well cruiser concealment will just slightly increase but as in the AR you can lower your concealment for up to 30% this is less important. It will have some effect during initial game tho but later it depends how much upgrades you collect.

Then it is a good thing that it also has good gun angles, 26 degrees front and 27 degrees back. Looks like GC is about to get some competition at lower and mid tiers.

His last season was Season 7. I think that he will start at R18 this season.

I think you should start at R14 or somewhere around it.

While I expect that this season DDs would be quite important I think that two Soviet T9 DDs were the worst choice. Not that they wouldn't work but all other seems better suited for this. I'll go with Kitakaze and Jutland, simple because I'm currently grinding both to Haru and Daring and both could be strong in Arms Race. I could use Fletcher and Z-46 too, don't know I'll see how will go with first two.

What? RNG don't have anything with torps distribution? Sure I guess you played Nagato, Amagi and Izumo before your Yami. If you know what they overmatch then you know what US and German BBs overmatch. Now I'm not sure you are playing your Yama the best you could. Because dodging is so easy no matter circumstances. Sure

You understand that overmatch doesn't depend of nation but of gun caliber, right? So do I when there is a giant RNG gap in my torps, wide enough that broadside BB could fit in it. But it is what it is, everybody has something that annoys him. So you have one example in your head and creating all your argument around it? Did you ever scored a citadel through bow or aft? Is that a bad gameplay? Or DD spotted by radar or plane or other DD but now you can blap it with your increased accuracy from far behind. Is that bad gameplay too? Did you ever consider that maybe you are not good in aiming your shells instead?

Yes, same old "reason" - "Punishing bad gameplay". Except if ship show you a broadside it desn't have to be a bad play, doesn't it. He could just trying to angle against something else and you just get opportunity by being on his flank. Also if you want another consumable, what are you ready to sacrifice? How about your BB now have 60sec reload time. Maybe more. I mean if what are you saying is that your BB currently is not precise enough so why would you shoot at all unless your accuracy consumable is active. Also you want to buff BBs and you don't know what you can overmatch? And now that you mention how about giving every DD and cruiser that invert movement consumable so that they have counterplay to BB accuracy consumable? That would be nice.

What! Cossack is a great ship. 8 guns, great concealment and hydro make her really good, especially against other DDs.

Buff her original configuration, there is no need for alternative configuration. Yes it would be nice but 8 gun Blyska would s*** on anything from T5 to T7. Even against T8 she would be strong with IFHE. Monaghan sacrifice half of her guns for better torps, here you would have choice between strong (if buffed) and even stronger gun option.
