  7. the point is thats a skill that is mandatory for good players and beeing as kill reduces the number of skills. this is because you dont have the choice between 4 lvl 1 skills but only 1 lvl 1 skill. or if you prefere needing to train a captain to lvl two before you start picking skills. THEREFORE removing the skill would improve skill diversity not lower it thats not the point of the skill. most use of the skill is to find dds late game. when there are only few ships alive knowing when you get spoted often tells you the position of enemy ships without beeing able to spot them...

  10. hi, it was recently added that we can see shell velocity in port. Plese give us the option to display the shell velocity of the loaded ammo in game between hangtime and distance in the hud. it would be a HUGE quality of life improovment for: - people who switch ships often - people playing ships where He and Ap shell velocity are not equal

    you say it yourself and if you can read i explicitly said so ONLY if its perpendicular else you have to resort to heuristics and theres when other indicators matter but im done here im only getting trolled (if im not getting trolled thats even more sad...)

    ofcourse you need other values and that the fu***** point! i dont want to memorize very single value i need for every ship currently you have acces to: - Hang time - distance - aproximation of shell mass because you know the caliber (not much to memorize when knowing that with constant caliber ist about US < jap ~= rus < ger) what is not know curently without a shitload of memorizing is the shell velocity! when im constantly driving the same ship the number is without use. but when im switching from a cleveland to a hipper and then to a NCa (which btw has huge difference in shell velocity 701m/s vs 820m/s) it realy helps to adapt your aim heuristics quicker. you never encountered the problem that your aim was "off" after switching ships? i nearly never drive the same ship twice and it would be of huge use to me to have a additional indicator where to start.

    yes but then again i would have to write 30 post-its and then again the dont change when you change amo.... in some special cases some ship sadly dont have same velocity for both amos. so you were talking about distance and when i reply to it youre suddently saying you were talking about the hang time then asking what the hangtime is, and not getting the point i do not want to devide hangtime and and distance in my head during the game to get shellvelocity? one last time for you : - hang time (AKA time to impact) does itself give no information about shell arc - you need to calculate it by using the distance to target and hangtime (you could get a speed by dividing both, then again youre ignoring that you have a non straight flight path and would not get the right value just by division and that the shell is slowing down during flight...) - so not ge distance and hangtime displayed while pushing alt or having alternate battle interface on are not the same and not a substitude for knowing initial shell speed. [edit] ive seen you nearly never play cruisers or bbs so youre not used to taking long range shoots maybe therefore you do not have encountered the same situations i have.

    i guess youre trying to troll here.... cause i realy dont see how a ship inherent number is related to the distance between two ships. but i give a ADDITIONAL short reasoning here (to all the dialogue above) - when your opponent is sailing perpendicular straight line to you all you need is hang time and no other numbers matter. - the more hes angled, manuvering and or switching speed the less usefull is hang time cause aim basically comes down to "experiance" and learned heuristics - those heuristics depend on knowing what arc your ship has - switching often betwen ships or having diffrent arcs on doffrent ammo can make this difficult even for a experianced player - knowing shell velocity at all times woul lead to a faster adjustment of aim when encountering shell velocity change due to ammo swap or ship change in above described situatiins

    jolly roger for example is a verry iconic flag. you want someone who is new to the game to never be able to get it? (considering you already have it thats aeasy to say....) i myself did not have the time the last 3 seasons to play for rank 1, but want to do it once or twice some day. and im glad i am not pressured to do so by some stupid deadline. less iconic falgs i can see the point of them beein "unique"

    well i understood your point the thing i was getting at was that "just because its stactc" is imho a bad justification for not beeing displayed it comes down to personal preference and i just dont want to learn those values by heart, i rather have a convienient place to look it up at any time

    well i could live with that but i'd prefered it be visible at all times esp while aiming (as i said earlier it shuld be possible to turn it of for people who do not want so see it.) the hud is static too (unless you have the dynamic :-P) but it still has use...

    well thats why i started a poll to see how others feel about it i have over 4k battles now and im tired to learn those values for every of my 30+ ships individualy if i would have the number i just could use the same "lead heuristics" for every ship with roughly the same shell speed. edit: ofc shell mass is still missing but that can be estimated casue gun caliber is known

    thats why i asked for a option to display it not that it is displayed by default so only people who want it can turn it on. hang time only does not give me the in formation if i have a high or flat arc. not without comparing hangtime over diffrent distances.
