    ill try and answer them as good as possible 1.) AP is able to di significant dmg to cruisers while that is trrue the devastating strike potential thats is often cited can be mitigated alot by cruisers, most cruisers are able to either doge or bounce bb shells of their belt (or both) while you might eat a citadel quite often that is rarely an huge issue and is just something that happens. so for further argumentation lets assume the normal shoots you take as a (skilled) cruiser when taken under fire by an enemy BB during a game are: 4 bounces 4 overpens 2 regular pens 1 citadel this will leave you low HP but alive and during course of the game youll probaly had time to do your job. so to answer the questuion how said game would have gone for you if every of those 11 hits was BBHE with high chance of fire enginfailure ruder failure and >2000 dmg per hit do you think you would have survived that and even if you could have doen your job while burning and out of ruder? 2.) well that strongly depends on the type of player i wouldnt say one line is easier that the other (and i disagree that it is that easy to perform in german BB's but that might be because we define the term somewhat diffrent) what i would say RN BB's have a higher probability and potential to infuence the game on average. 3.) Tier 4 RN BB HE is better than Tier 10 USN BB HE, some peope were using He with good effect on the monatana in some situations. the thing is the situation is not only about the T10 "megazao" it runs way deeper

    i just needed to quote this because ist really well said. the only thing i'd like to add is that the mechanic that allows "potatoes" to do good dmg allows good players to abuse the hell out of it.... its already starting ive seen a good number of non RN bbs starting to shoot HE only at everything at mid to low tier.... (well good for cruisers , bad for the game...)

    well while the things you wrote are true the thing that makes them imho that strong is the ability to cripple important targets with the HE, so its all about target selection. high dmage influences the winrate positiveley, but the real thing that makes them stron is you can pick an important target and cripple it (if not kill it) so he cant do his job thats verry valuable, and imho their real strenght lies in that ability, and hey having HE loaded anyway to kill that unsuspecting DD ist a big plus too... (opposed to french cruisers that can do good dmg but are way more squishy and lack that insane crippling ability of the RN BB HE) as for their tankieness i am pretty sure they feel only "papery" cause most of your opponents are shooting RN HE at you, when beeng shot at with Ap they just feel like any non german BB or only slightly worse this said im only at the KGV for now but i doubt the characteristcs change much after the KGV except the reload. well imho thats only a hypothetical issue because in my experiance so far the RN HE is still ore punishing to a DD than the SAP, if you do not kill the DD in that volley the secondary effects of HE are way worse than a bit of extra dmg... why youre still talking to wilkatis_LV ? he repeatedly shown that he has either no grasp of whats the isssue, wants to defend seriously broken stuff cause he likes it or is just a troll either way no point in arguing...

    well they are realy towfaced for me i enjoy them because of monsterous stats (well i disliked the QE but thats a issue for another topic..) i dont like them because what they do to the game, which in short (a bit oversimplified) that the use of repair party decides the game. apart from the HE/AP thing they seem to be just perfectly fine BB's, meaning theres nothing about them which makes me cringe when i think about playing them (like e.g. certain CAs where the ruder breaks all the time, my record is 8 broken ruders in ~5min in a st. lois)

    no it has not but the QE/WSP are are exeption in the whole HE issue anyway because of the overmatch sweetspot (MM vs gun cal.) anyway so theres no real pont arguing about the RN Bb He problems with regard to those ships

    ofc you can get nice AP salvos thing is if you start looking for good targets for HE you rarely will find a situation where you have a target thats worth switching for, the time to switch , a good chance that the target is still a good ap target after the switch. and depending on the tier you can also delete that cruiser with your HE.... (remeber QE is an execption in the line cause of calibre) im only at the KGV so i assume T8-T10 ill shoot some more AP, but my recent experiance leeds me to belive that ist rarely an optimal choice. also i dont know if i waste my time explaining stuff to someone who thinks RN CL's are bad... i "like" the RN BB's too cause whoe doesnt enjoy wining and destroying their enemies. The heck i even play my Belfast and Flint without feeling too bad.... ....but the RN BB's are somewhat a step over the line i realy feel dirty because i seriously pitty my enemies because i can constantly put them in situations where they cant do [edited] about it. e.g. you know how much fun it is in a cruiser to get your engine knocked out after you got forced to repair? (esp. so if that cruiser did a good job protectiing against possible AP shoots) HAHA couldnt have said it better... i think (and again most of the time) you just look more skilled swaping the effectiveness should be the same on average in many cases (of those where you could actually consider AP not overall), and thats whats my complain is about current situation leeds to nearly no need of considering Ap while absolutely frustrating your enemies....

    well i tell you why (and i implicitly told you in my OP) why that is the QE/warspite is in an overmatch sweetspot and thus the AP is verry good, aditionally the warspite does not suffert from the short fuse, if i shoot mainly AP in the QE why would i not do so in the Warspite? sAP is fine on the Nelson i agree with traditional AP that boat would be even stronger. on the KGV i dont know its debateable but why would you care as long as you can throw a salvo of fiery death every <25s

    its offtopic but, the replays were automaticaly activated (unles that was reversed) a coupple of patches ago. you should check the folder if you play a lot WOWS (like me) you should delete that folder regularly anyway (if youre like me for example run the game on a quite small SSD)

    no im not... no need of considering amo choice because because HE is "always" better when considering the opportunity cost of having AP in the wrong monent thats the first sentence the secons sencence is conditional "getting ridicolus results / no option for your enemys" you need to consider when and where too shoot (and even less than with other bbs) theres no contradiction in that i suggest you work on your reading comprehension skills they are not badly armored. they are just average armored with a bit of positioning and angling they are just perfectly fine battleships. and even if they are a littlebit sub average (which is debatable) that is easily compensated with the better heal. the only real weakness is the bad torp belt and thereby weaknes to air torp strikes... with current CV population this is also a non issue. i agree with the first part the short AP fuse makes the situation worse because it makes AP often a medicore choice wehn AP should be the stonger option. i dont agree with the second part. if you simply buff the AP it would be just a buff to already strong ships and wouldnt change the situation you would also need to tone down the HE a bit

    i did not propose anything yet. i just gave a list of what i see as a posibility where to take action, you can combine any of those measure to a proposal thats up to you. (like e.g. reduce fire cnace by 10% and improve Ap by..... this would be a proposal/suggestion) imho any rebalancing beyond those values would take serious time and testing, but whats needed is a a fix that will come soon.

  15. yes it might be ok (and also it might not) i just wish they did not take that route of making them that close either make them "copy pasta" so you cant posibly say one of them is better or make them significantly diffrent
  16. well i would say if a batch of characteristics (like guns) is just a bit worse and another part (like AA) is significantly better that makes a verry simmilar overall better ship since im not a tester i can only assume but i whish they made the ship either very similar (so they are arguably the same) or significantly diffrent but not that type of simmilar that one if them will be clearly better than the other.

  22. with that opinion you will always end up in an environment where 1 CV is clearly the best and if you want to win there is no reason to play another CV....
  23. that depends weather you want diffrent cv's which are comepetetive on the highest lvl or some gimmicky crap that does only work cause ist so overtuned that it is OP..... (difrend here means as diffrent as balancing alows which would probably be not much diffrent when compared to "gimicky" CV's like saipan or kaga)
