    Rogue Wave: The Full Guide

Afaik Cossack is considered one of the best T8 DDs. Personally I have no reservations about it. (About whether Cossack is worse than Lightning, I wouldn't agree. It trades a torp launcher for more gunpower and a speed boost. And the one torp launcher it gets launches longer range much faster reloading torps you can still launch individually. Honestly I'd pick Cossack over Lightning every day.) But again, I'm fine with having to invest something in the premium shop if you just cannot fully complete missions (personally I do welcome the ability to get some rewards entirely for free - which usually is mated with some serious grinding), it's how expensive that investment is in the case of Benham that I cannot agree with. The moment you screw something slightly with the event, you have to fork out a fourth of the price of other T9 premiums they sell in the premium shop. Working hard on the game for a month to still be forced to pay the equivalent of 25% of a T9 premium ship price for a T9 reward ship seems over the top. Heck you can get full T6 ships for that price.

Personally, the gunboats - Barracuda, I think - are far above all else, because you cannot dodge well aimed gun salvoes. Then the Octopus, cause if you have to rely on torps, atleast have decent torps. And last the Eel. Cause you really have nothing to rely on.

I see, don't have a 3star ship yet myself. Then again even the 2star ones gain you credits even without premium and as far as I can see, those are relatively ompetitive with the top tier ones. I guess they realised the game needs a credit sink. Was gonna propose selling some premium/freemium/whatever ships for say 100 million credits, or 200 million, or 500 million myself because you tend to accumulate really large amounts that have virtually no use. You are correct and I hope at least some people understand that time is a currency as well. The reason I am pissed at WG is precisely the mission you mention as well: Getting 48 daily missions done out of 50 during the event. I find that is simply too severe because a person can sink in a tremendous amount of time into the game, grind as mad and still end up with say only 47 missions done for any number of reasons (server issues, anyone? Those happened 3 times in the last month afaik and would easily stop someone from completing any daily missions). And not only can a small issue wreak havoc with your fuel earning plans, you cannot even easily fix it with a small purchase either. Take Cossack, if you grinded everything (which honestly was much easier than this event - you had a week for every directive and nothing else was mandatory), you still had to make a purchase, but an almost negligable one. BUT, even if you happened to skip on a directive (maybe even several, my memory isn't that great) - which means you could miss over a week of grinding, that same one small purchase was enough to complete the Cossack grind. If you fail the 48/50 mission, you'll be missing more than 50 fuel tokens. Getting 50 fuel tokens requires bying 4 containers which by itself is 16 times as expensive as that small bundle requires for Cossack. Let me repeat: sixteen times as much money required to fix a small mistake on the fuel token grind compared with the Cossack grind. That is simply outrageous in my mind. Just imagine we accept this and they multiply requirement another 16 times for the next event. I don't care if the reward will be the most OP ship in existence, that is simply not good practice and that's why I'm angry despote thinking Benham is also very strong and technically it is possible to earn it fully only with ingame time. Simply put: "The line must be drawn here. This far and no further."

Everything is working as intended. You shoud have received the rewards for that last day of the Victory event the next day (or any day before the 0.8.5 update). If you haven't logged in after that last day of the Victory event yet before the Thursday update, you lost the rewards (as noted several times in patch notes, Victory event description etc.). Next hall of fame bracket will open after you complete all directives of the current stage, which will happen in two weeks at the fastest. Same as it always worked.

There is an office in Prague, but that one is only for community guys, not the developers. If you have issue with any content in game, it's the office in St. Petersburg (I think that's where CCs just had a summit?) to blame. That said, do not go to Prague anyway, too freaking hot lately. Which ships are you playing? The first 2 tiers are easily making credits. If the third is losing credits, it means you should alternate ships.

So far, Thunderer has a normal-ish heal, not the british superheal. I'd have to look at the numbers precisely, but it's akin to the US silver line BB heals. Better than normal, but not by too much.

    CV Rework Discussion

It may remain frustrating for surface ships while becoming frustrating for many CV players. But shouldn't that new frustration for CVs lead to smaller CV numbers? That would be great for surface ships. Basically we'd be back to where we started with RTS. Few games with CVs frustrating for most (I assume those CV players that remain wouldn't be frustrated and thus would keep playing - they would also likely be either very good players able to keep planes or potatoes that just don't care at all) but a number of battles enjoyed by surface ships without CVs at all.

    Rogue Wave: The Full Guide

The 150 fuel for individual dailies is fine, you could in theory miss some days and be fine... but-> -> You actually need the 100 fuel for the 48/50 dailies mission. Meaning at that point you will have gotten 138 fuel from 48 individual dailies anyway... 250 fuel for directives is perfectly acceptable. 300 fuel for 16,8 million credits in Savage battles is a crazy grind but doable (you're somewhat pushed to play a crazy amount of savage battles by the directives anyway). 50 fuel for 10 daily logins is great (you'll have 12 or so days). It's that second line that screws everything up, because it rewards the same thing as the first one. If you manage 48/50 dailies (and the other missions/grinds), you'll get 838+ fuel. If you do not manage 48/50 dailes, you're suddenly at 732 fuel at most (unless you somehow were progressing through the dailes but not through the latest stage, repeatedly - then technically, you could manage as high as 747 fuel in total). The issue is the huge gap. You cannot only get just over 200 fuel from all that's linked to daily missions, you either get 238+ or 147-.

    CV Rework Discussion

True, haven't played any T4 since the... uh, Svietlana, maybe. Yeah, definitely a long time. Anyway, that was a brain fart. So the question is if there is enough AA ships like say the Texas at T4 and 5 to screw over T4 CVs. Because afaik those were not quite as OP as the better equipped higher tier ones and carry barely any planes at all. However T6 CVs might really run into issues now.
  15. Toivia

    CV Rework Discussion

Huh, so... are surface ships playable now? I definitely didn't expect this change to have as much of an effect as this thread seems to indicate. That'd be awesome. (Well, unless you're a T4 CV against T6 ships and probably also a T6 against T8 AA.)

    Hindenburg

Ta nechutně OP loď má příliš moc přesná děla a příliš moc penetrace, aby ji Hinden přežil.

I compared ship and plane torps as a "surviving item" after player is killed. Nothing more.

    Rogue Wave: The Full Guide

Wow, this is a big fail. Only ever one person survives the savage battle. Typically a superunicum. If you aren't one, tough luck. Not only do merely 3 people out of 12 win, but being a regular guy, you already start with odds against you. Only two other spots on your team can harbor a player capable to survive and win. But there's 3 spots on every other team. I don't see anybody but superunicums - and only those that are fine with grinding - to get the Benham*. *Well, obviously aside from those outright bying Benham through containers. How much does that cost? Like 200 euros?

    Rogue Wave: The Full Guide

Wouldn't you please consider lowering the requirements for the mission rewarding 100 fuel tokens from 48/50 daily missions to something more reasonable (like 40/50)? 1 missed day in a month is simply nowhere near enough safe space, particularly considering the recent recurring server issues. 2 sunday evening outages and tadaa, chance to get Benham is gone even if you dedicated a whole month for it.
  20. Toivia

    Armada: Benham

It's the bloody mission for completing 48/50 dailies that artificially limits it all. Technically, you could only complete 17 days of daily missions (while grinding the directives, getting the bazillion credits in the savage battles for missions and getting daily shipments) to get 102 fuel. But that would make you fail the aforementioned 48/50 mission for another 100 fuel. Seriously, WG, @MrConway @Crysantos you should at least lower that one mission to 40/50 daily missions or at least 45/50. Currently you only allow one day off for a month. That is simply absurd. EDIT: Oh, and another issue with daily missions is that playing the savage battles has a much lower chance to win than other modes. Only 3/12 people win. Daily missions require wins to progress. Gosh this will be awful.

    CV Rework Discussion

Hmm, your frustration of the recent nerf makes you quote entirely unrelated posts and ask a player that doesn't play carriers to play carriers. I dabbled somewhat with old RTS low tier CVs, I partook in testing for the rework (with all or almost all CVs) and after a couple coop battles after release don't wanna touch them anymore. The whole "controlling planes" part is already enough to keep me from playing them. I'm not a freaking pilot and don't want to be.

    CV Rework Discussion

That's where I've never been a fan of the "planes = shells/torps" comparison. The planes themselves don't deal damage when they get near the enemy, it's what they carry that does, after you pick a spot for it to drop/launch/... In that case, planes are a means to get the ammunition to the target, AKA a gun. Fun fact for those complaining because of the possibility to lose planes (and thus not being able to temporarily deliver strikes): guns can also be destroyed. In that vein, pls don't compare planes to launched torpedoes. The torpedoes launched by your planes, those can be compared with a surface ship's launched torpedoes. The fact your current plane squad "survives" the death of the CV hull is merely a result of their separation of the controlled entities hull/plane squad and probably their initial inability to link the destruction of both (the time limit of 3? minutes came later).

    CV Rework Discussion

Well, I'd be okay with that for torps, but bombs and rockets would be insane. Those you can rarely dodge yourself. If the CV doesn't [edited]up, he hits you. And with that many bombs/rockets at once, you'd do like 40k DMG easily. What's more, even an AA ship close by would probably not kill enough planes fast enough to prevent the drop. Anyway yes, with 34 freaking degrees celsius right here in the shadow, I probably can't think straight either. Would a CVs planes provide enough wind and shadow to cool me down?
