    Hmm, the moment I stepped out of DDs and BBs, easy way to rank one. Basically sailed from Rank 8 to Rank 1 with ony one loss, thanks only to Dallas. Hydro takes care of torps, DefAA takes care of planes, IFHE takes care of BBs and floaty shells combined with islands all over these lower tier maps meant I wasn't being punished by enemy fire either. All I did was yoo to the island cosest to enemies and start shooting anything that shows up while covering caps with AA any hydro. Turns out enemies were not smart enough to send BBs two opposite directions to outflank me and delete me (only got deleted when I underestimated the speed of the Izmail and wasn't hiding behind an island fast enough).

    Já mám pocity asi dost zkreslené Vladivostokem (alias zástupcem anti-HE nadřazené sovětské vývojové linie), každopádně nic proti mne poslední dobou nemá šanci. Ono to teda asi taky bude novým MM, kdy tak nějak pořád pomlacuju chudáky T6 tuleně... (Kdyby někomu náhodou přišlo, že je to až příliš dobrého štěstí, mohu nadhodit, že se Smolenskem mi MM hází jenom samé idioty a bitvy končí v 7 minutách, já většinou ještě dříve ve snaze urvat aspoň jeden cap proti celému nepřítelskému týmu...)

    Hmm, já ho do Sprintu zkusil a poznatky mám zcela opačné. Proti bitevkám je fajn, víceméně si může dovolit i na křižníky, ale všechno se rozpadá, jakmile vám do cesty vletí jiné DD (neřkuli letadla...). Po těch buffech HE japonských DD vás už rozstřílí i pitomé Fubuki. Spot nemáte nejlepší a ještě k tomu jste pomalí. Na hydro už dneska nikoho nenachytáte. Jednou jsem ještě omylem skončil v Randomu, samozřejmě T8 a letadlovka k tomu. No ale co mne dostalo nakonec nebyl vyšší tier nebo letadla. Kdepak, rozstřílel mne enemy Fubuki... Icarus byl schopné DD dokud přestřílel jiná DD. To už dávno neplatí. Hodně štěstí s přestřílením nebo úprkem od Guéparda.

    No, to že ty považuješ DD tvého týmu za hrozbu pro enemy CV zdaleka neznamená, že on to vidí stejně... Jako samozřemě, že taky se mi občas stane, že je na mne focus větší, než bych čekal a naštve mne to, ale staty to není. Boti v Coopu mne taky někdy focusujou z nepochopitelných důvodů. A zas jindy v Randomu si mne vůbec nikdo nevšímá, jako bych tam ani nebyl a můžu si vesele farmit citadely.

    Jak píše cer243, Gneisenau v dobách, kdy fungovalo AA dokázala čelit i T8 letadlovkám. Nelson je krátký i na T6 letadýlka. (Mimochodem jsem si nevšiml, že by Tě @Kulica* nějak urážel.) No a po DDčkách jdou právě jen dobří CVčkáři, a to ještě jenom v případě, kdy "je to potřeba". Pokud je ono DD k ničemu, necapuje a neničí tým, tak není žádnou hrozbou a i dobrý CVčkář si radši nafarmí bitevku. *EDIT: Ted koukám, že by se to dalo číst různě. Samozřejmě jsem měl na mysli, že jsem neviděl cer243 urážet Kulicu.

    Gneisenau není dobrý cíl pro útoky letadlovky. Rozhodně ne, pokud je poblíž Nelson. No a CV, které se rozhdone farmit DMG na té nejsnazší kořisti (což Nelson je) nebude lovit DDčka.
  9. Not really, that's kinda the problem. Thunderer misses one of Conq's biggest advantages: superheal. Meanwhile Ohio gets great secondaries on top of usual Montana attributes. That's why I think they should differentiate Thunderer and Ohio with T being more of a glass cannon (it might already fill that role nicely right now, haven't seen streams recently) and Ohio a bit more focused on brawling, tanking and thus with worse gun efficacy (which is why it should rather keep 30 sec reload instead of the faster one). With the buffed Ohio reload, I'm a bit afraid that Ohio offers all that Thunderer gun mayhem while also having secondaries and hp/tankiness on top. Feels a bit unfair.
  10. Thunderer has a faster reload with same size guns now. However I am not quite sure what the difference between Ohio and Thunderer is right now. Ohio has Massa/Georgia secondaries, Thunderer slightly better guns? Isn't Ohio more resilient though? Well, at least Thunderer is no onger a pointless far worse Conqueror and Ohio in one. All in all though, I agree that Ohio didn't need this buff.
  11. If you want to call that a limit, suit yourself. For me, it's just how penetrations work. On topic though, that doesn't change anything about what I wrote in the original post. If Flamu and the chat have the same semantic issues and that is why they cannot understand why a 30% limit would be pointless, it's most sad.
  12. I recently got into a heated debate about the functionality of SAP on a fairly frequented stream and would like to once more fully explain my stance. The question of SAP versus DDs comes up simply because of SAPs inability to overpen and relatively high alpha damage, thus dealing large amounts of penetration damage to DDs, quite probably too much damage. So, let's get into it: - Currently, T10 Italian Venezia has a SAP alpha of 5200 DMG. Thus when one SAP shell hits a DD (and doesn't bounce), it deals 1/3 of its alpha damage: 1733 DMG. Indeed that is quite high, more damage for example than any AP shell from a BB that would hit a DD (with the exception of Khabarovsk and Harugumo). - During testing, SAP shells used to have a 10% damage limit, similar to the current limit for BB caliber AP shells (Yamato's AP shell for example does 10% of its alpha 14800 DMG to DDs: 1480 DMG). During that period, Venezia's single gun would deal 520 DMG to a DD with SAP (if it didn't bounce). You'll notice that such damage was on the other hand pretty low in the absence of HE or even hydroacustics search consummable on italian cruisers and that's why the limit was removed. - Now, as the streamer suggests a 30% limit of SAP to DDs, let's look what that would bring. 30% wuld bring triple the damage it was during the 10% imit, meaning 1560 DMG per SAP shell (if it doesn't bounce). You will notice such damage - while nominally lower than the current situation without limits - is functionally as destructive to DDs as having no limit at all. Now I would be extremely grateful if someone was able to explain this to our beloved King Potato since I clearly failed. ON THE OTHER HAND, if I actually do make some basic math error, please do point it out so I finally understand why there is such a huge misunderstanding. Thank you. (As an aside, I am personally not opposed to a different limit of SAP damage to DDs. Current 10k salvoes of higher tier italian cruisers to DDs is somewhat crazy. Heck Venezia can get up to 25k DMG to DDs in one salvo of SAP if all 15 shells were to hit.)

    V divizi můžeš pustit jakýkoliv scénář ze seznamu. Myslím, že je ale třeba divize alespoň 4 hráčů (pak ale budete hrát jen ve čtyřech, nikoho dalšího to k vám nepřidá).

    Funnily enough, submarines are one of the few ships soviets actualy did have, unlike the various trees in the game right now... Anyway, I'm all for reducing the alpha on SAP to below AP values and reducing reoad times. Then we'll see how they'd work. Something like 4000 Alpha to Venezia's SAP would already reduce the volley to almost Zao levels of HE, I don't think that should worry DDs in any way then (...more than Zao and other cruisers). No limits against DDs needed then.
  16. Well then right now in your parlance, any cruiser shell is imited to 33% versus DDs, that's a very stupid way to call things. It still means a 30% limit would be pointless as it would not appreciaby change things. If what you say is how stuff would generaly be called, then every shell would always do citadel damage. In fact there is no limit to cruiser AP and SAP to DDs. If they were to "grow" a citadel module, they would get the full 100% DMG. So yeah, there is no limit, it's just that you still cannot get to 100% because they lack the appropriate module. That's not a limit on the shells, it's a deficiency on the part of DD models, if you will.

    Moje BB zpravidla jedou spodem a těm třem bitevkám se nepřiblíží. No a pokud mám v týmu DDčko, tak většinou jakou prví zahyne někdy ve třetí minutě... To co tahá Aegis jsou křižníky, které ví jak se postavit do boku enemáků a sypou do těch křižníků citadely. To zvládá třeba i Aigle, takový minikřižníček. Nebo pak taky 12 dělové bitevky, ideálně Izmail.
  18. I still don't understand. 30% is almost the same as normal 33% which a SAP shell can at best do to a DD, so such a limit is pointless. At least as long as DDs don't get citadels. Then it would be a very important limit. Simply put, if you capped SAP damage to DDs at 30%, it would do virtually the same damage as right now when there is no limit at all.

    Byl bych si to myslel, ale evidentně ne. Naopak v Raptor rescue bych myslel, že je nezbytná a že zajistí výhru a je to přesně naopak.
  20. Huh, please explain. Also are you talking about how the current BB AP limit works on DDs? Honestly I have no idea what you are talking about. I know only of one limit, the one devs can impose on armament versus some ships. Where is any second limit? (Also penetrations are 33,3333...%, not 30%.)

    No, 3 DDčka a žádná letadlovka... Zřejmě tím, že jsem grindil letadlovky, tak jsem asi vyepšil šance na výhru. Taky je fakt, že jsem získával kolem 100k spotting damage. Ale s tou snahou dostat se mezi 25% nejlepších v Síni slávy to začínám vidět bledě. Jak se tam takhle umisťují Kohy a Ims jde zcela mimo mne.

    Wow, this Ranked Sprint is the bloody worst I've played. Cannot move from Rank 8 at all. Noone focuses DDs when I spot them, I kep getting harassed by CVs, BBs yoloing to the other side than has been decided one by one. It's like only mentally challenged people have been let in these Ranked Sprint (yeah, for keeping on trying, I must be too).

    Uf, to jsem tomu asi unikl. Aegis, nebo jak se jmenuje ta stávající operace, jsem dal asi desetkrát zcea bez problémů (jenom jsem několikrát nestihl potopit Fuso). Prostě rozdíl proti Raptor Rescue naprosto diametrální. (A ten Schors nám snad většinou dokonce přežil, párkrát myslím i ten bot Mahan, tak to má být.) Jinak Ranked Sprint... no, stále se motám na 7-8, včera večer 5 proher, 2 výhry. V jedné prohře jsem nahrál asi 1800 baseXP, víc jak dvojnásobek kohokoliv dalšího v týmu. Další komentář to snad nepotřebuje...
  25. Yeah, sigh, this thread is not about whether italian cruisers should have SAP DMG limits on DD or not. This thread was to explain that a hypothetical 30% damage limit would e pointless because it would result in basically the same damage as if you didn't have a limit at all. Off topic, Venezia's DMG versus DDs with SAP is double that of Zao with HE while the reload is less than double and the shells are easier to hit given the silly flight speeds. So imo, and off topic, SAP should be reigned in a bit simply because a huge alpha is much more dangerous than half the alpha separated by 10 or so seconds (you cannot react to being deleted while you might have a chance of reacting in some way after losing half your hp).
