Zatím poslední známý návrh. V podstatě to moc neřeší, jenom těžké křižníky získají krapet lepší ochranu proti 380 (a některé i proti 406-420) mm dělům. Smolensk a Colbert by byli nerfnuti. Ale běžní 152mm CL by získali možnost absolutně destruovat jakýkoliv křižník i bez IFHE...

Give CVs and upcoming subs a separate mode with bots, protecting/attacking convoys etc. Problem solved.
-
No, snad to zas WG nezkoní...

KotS Camouflage Contest – Cast your Vote!

It's not which camo you'll obtain. It's that 25 random people that participate will get those camos (50 in total). -

Gotta say quite a few really nice patterns. (Btw I love yellow, so far kinda missing a bit from camos in game.) -

Personally I have the game muted. Turns out the various battle sounds do not matter for gameplay purposes at all... EDIT: Also more on topic, seems like we were assuming correctly about the probable additional lines/sublines in the European tree. See this quote from thedailybounce.net on the branch announcement:
-
Well honestly, I play with the game muted for a year now, so don't really know how to set voiceovers to be ship/commander/language specific. Not sure if there's a guide online... Wait, you talking real life or ingame? Cause I know they're quite distinct, but the couple quick commands I just tried in game sound the same (latino - cannot say more specifically, been a few years since I last learned spanish).
-
Are you sure you got the settings right? Cause there is Polish voiceover ingame, same as Dutch. Just tested both work. (Don't understand the distinction between Spanish and mexican Spanish though, both sound the same, latinoamerican).
-
To people asking about sweding commanders, I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that currently, recruiting a new commander for Blyskawica results in a polish named commander that speaks Polish and recruiting a new commander for Friesland yields a Dutch speaking fellow with a dutch name. So supposedly that should keep on being the case (even in case of the Austro-Hungarian Tátra - speaking of which, what is the situation with Viribus Unitis? I ssume the commanders there also have appropriate names, though I'm not sure what language they speak. German, perhaps?).

Proof of Concept Test - Cruiser plating and Inertia Fuse High Explosive (IFHE) for Tiers VIII-X, second stage of the test.
Toivia replied to Tanatoy's topic in Development Blog
Fine, it is a buff, but still only a small one. The difference will be that Worcester won't set 2 fires per salvo but only one. So it will require 3 salvoes (oh the tragedy!) to fully engulf a BB in flames instead of two. I think there is need for my general stance on what is currently - in my opinion - a problem in game and what changes relating to IFHE, HE pen, cruiser (and BB) plating etc. more or less adress (or fail to adress respectively). A) Currently light cruisers with IFHE are silly DPM machines (includes Harugumo etc.) and need to be dealt with. B) Heavy cruisers are in a tough spot, they aren't much better (if at all) when it comes to survivability versus BBs and light cruisers. Now, other than what I hope is a nerf to Smolensk and Colbert, the proposed changes slightly adress A) in that those monstrous DPM machines at least lose some fire chance and B) in that some heavy cruisers gain a slight additional change to bounce some BB shells when they angle. Those positives are outweighted by the worsening of the CA vs. CL situation. Now even CLs without IFHE (retraining, not enough captain points etc.) would melt same tier CAs. That's horrid. -
Ok, this post is rather nice. Arms race was quite fun and enjoyable (no sarcasm here). I could do without the additions for CVs and planes, though... ARP ships becoming basically full blown premiums? Ok then, reason to play them then. Weird and ugly camos still giving bonuses when disabled? Bloody awesome. That's like dozens of ships I can now use various camos on where I previously couldn't bear it! (You people can now play Roma with great bonuses and without the Beercan.) Armor viewer update? Any chance the various decks and internal plates that are now missing will be added? Say all those armoured decks preventing citadels through the nose etc. That would be awesome as well.

Come on, all CLs would still take IFHE and wreck Thunderer and Répu. Maybe they'll get a couple fewer fires (which will be great and awesome), but in individual battles, they will likely end up the same as now. This proposed change only leads to a nerf on Smolensk and Colbert, which is fine and needed. Nothing else to it really. EDIT: Obviously if say Smolensk were to get another buff to compensate for the nerf, this whole proposed change becomes completely pointless. In which case I'm a firm proponent of "better the devil you know" aka no need for change when the change doesn't substantially help. -

Huh, nothing changes for Thunderer. Same as nothing changes for Mino. Well, A) what matters for me is my 305mm guns will now overmatch most of Smolensk (yay for Alaska, Azuma, Yoshino, Kronshtadt and soon hopefully Puerto Rico). B) when it comes to full size BB guns, the 30mm if not bouncing the shell still hardly arms it now which could result in a pen. The change allows shells coming at extreme angles to overmatch and have most of the lenght of the ship to fuse which has a chance to result in a pen. Either way, an overpen is still better than a bounce. As a bonus, it reinforces the notion that Smolensk is a great target for HE, particularly large caliber HE. -

Hmm, all I really see here is an elaborate way to be able to nerf Smolensk and Colbert while having an excuse for "class changing mechanics tweaks". So . Nothing else really changes too much. Cruisers in general get potentially somewhat better protection from some of the BBs when angling. Light cruisers with IFHE still dumpster everything (but get fewer fires ). Light cruisers without IFHE however newly dumpster all other cruisers. That's the worst part of the changes. Mostly one has to ask: Why bother? Really seems just because of Smolensk. Good job, WG, maybe next time someone warns you in advance before releasing such a broken ship... oh wait. -
Hmm, that is a very curious move WG. First of all, I've been a big proponent of these various "pan-..." trees in the game as obviously most nations couldn't fit a single branch let alone a tree with cruisers, DDs or even BBs. However seeing a European branch that's basically just fully swedish is just weird. I mean I did expect Sweden to be one of the (more prominent) parts of the European tree, but not by getting basically their full branch. Rather by mismatching ships and tiers a la the panasian DD tree. I can only hope the intent is as Fumtu writes here: Should at least lead to some consistency while allowing mismatch in more problematic branches (say cruisers). Second: So another line of DDs in a row without smoke, again with not so great concealment and this time without even much speed. I see why they get heal so early. Still though, what good is a heal when most of these DDs get so low hp? I can only hope they are really small and thus harder to hit. CVs will have fun again, though. Or well... still. Third: I kinda like the idea of the torps, actually. Curious what the chance for flooding is because that might be the major threat here with the low alpha. On lower tiers, even the reload is good, so with the speed and range, might lead to decent numbers of random hits that shouldn't really be that scary (other than the potential floods).

Je to celkem nádhera. Zrovna dneska krásná full T8 bitva s Z-23, hnedka několik rekordů (enemy CV byl naštěstí "blb" [EDIT], co se dokonce nechal velmi brzy potopit, jinak by to asi stejně za nic nestálo).
-
No, bez IFHE bych včera v Ranked nepotopil enemy Stalingrad a v klanovkách nikdy žádný křižník...

-
Za to buď rád, já poslední 4 dny nedávám killy žádné. Vždycky 30k DMG do lodě, perma ohně a pak bum, kill mi vyžerou...

Umm, "chasing the missions"? You have like two weeks to do them and you'll get them just by playing. No need to do anything differently than you usually do. I mean, is WG greedy? Of course. Are they overpricing basically everything in the store? Sure. Are Lootboxes merely a way to part a fool and his money? Pretty much. But it's not WG's fault that people go out of their way to grind stuff that wasn't meant to be grindy or buy stuff that they don't need yet think they do because they didn't read any of the explanations on the contents.
