    Jestli budou HE použitelný, tak tím líp. Na větší vzdálenosti to dá trochu víc možností.
  2. It can happen on the Myoko (usually rudder), but nowhere near as often as on german cruisers. Even on the Hipper, I seem to lose the engine every once in a while. Personally, I don't take 'Last stand' on the Myoko, and from the Yorck, not even on the german line.

    Hmm, tak to je podivné. 35 bitev to bylo jak popisuji o příspěvěk výš. Průměrný damage 28k, o potopení radši nebudu mluvit. No, a pak dneska: 18 bitev, průměr nad 51k damage. Kill/death konečně nad 1. Zničeho nic mi proti křižníkům začaly padat citadely, jedna za druhou. Přitom jsem nic nezměnil, všechny moduly, kapitánské dovednosti, ... Každopádně pokud by to takhle šlo dál, tak už není, na co si stěžovat, v rámci možností křižníků často padajících do Tier 10 bitev.

    Non, non, non! J'etais juste en train de finir la mission de 100 000 XP qui se termine en deux heures. En plus j'avais enfin une bonne bataille et maintenant je ne verrai plus les resultats exactes.

    Když se plavím pod úhlem, tak mám jen 4 hlavně v akci, Hipper je i dost líný. Navíc mne v podstatě vše penetruje i pod úhlem. Jeho AP, byť létají velice ploše nedokážou prorazit v podstatě nic. Dlouho jsem se snažil jimi pálit po nadstavbách BB na dálku (bok jsem v podstatě nikdy neviděl), ale stejně se všechno jen neškodně odráží. HEčka se sice odráží taky, ale jednou za čas aspoň zapálí. Oheň > nic. Hipper má sice velmi rychlé otáčení věží, ale to je dobré tak leda na blízký souboj s DD, a ty se tak blízko neodváží. Je možné, že mám prostě smůlu na týmy, kdy proti mně nikdo neukazuje bok. Ale i tak Hipper shazuje jeho hrozná papírovost. A oproti dřívějším papírům (Konigsberg, Nurnberg) mu scházi dostřel. Relativně v bezpečí už APčka lítají pod naprosto nepoužitelným úhlem (ani bokem, ani palubou neproletí). A kdekoliv, kde by AP mohlo mít šanci, jsem rozstřílen ve dvou salvách.

    Hipper u mne zatím snad nejhorší německý křižník vůbec. Úhly věží jsou otřesné, ani Myoko se nemusí tak moc natočit bokem na celou salvu. Pancíř to nemá prach žádný. Rychlost střelby taky nic moc. HE nejsou snad ani k pláči. AP jsou dobré jen na krátkou vzdálenost a přímo do boku (hodně štěstí najít někoho natočeného bokem na tieru 8+). Když si pomyslím, že i s Nurnbergem jsem měl vyšší průměrné damage (a i ten jsem řadil k pěkně mizerným lodím).
  9. Thinking back about the Nurnberg, it had decent HE and great rate of fire compared with the Hipper. Now that thing's hopeless. In T8+ games, you'll almost never see a broadside, and if you do, it'll be the last damage you do (cause you'll get noticed and erased instantly). Actually it feels like the Hipper is even more of a paper than the Nurnberg was, unbelievable. I'm kinda remembering my good days with the Yorck now. Its shell trajectory was terrible, but it actually did damage when it hit (at distance, you could at least get plunging fire with AP and nice citadels). And it was so much more resilient...

    Já nejradši hraju s tím, s čím mám nejhorší statistiky. Pak je nejmenší šance, že si je ještě zhoším. (Jako jsem za jediný den shodil damage i killy na Minekaze na sotva 2/3 původních...) Teď si postupně znovu kupuju ty lodě, na kterých jsem se učil. Myogi už jsem vytáhl, teď se bavím s Chikumou. Jinak k Furutace, mám dojem, že se právě testuje nový trup pro Furutaku prý snad se stejným rozvržením děl, jako má Aoba. Možná se pak bude víc líbit.
  11. Damn, now I'm so sad I couldn't play more when I had the 1 day premium. My best xp (including premium) was 2717, so just short of this week's mission.

    Hmm, thanks for the info on DDs not visible in smoke. I'd swear however I detected a couple of DDs in smoke just in the last week with my planes, with no allies nearby. I'll have to be more attentive in the future.
  13. With the 1 day premium for the "Victory" mission, I managed the 2500 XP mission as well, but I still got a terribly low win rate, as well as a terribly low damage, kills, ...

    Well, that is obviously only my knowledge (so it can be wrong), but as long as you're in smoke, you're invisible if you don't shoot aircraft above you. However if your AA is on, you will shoot automatically on planes in range and thus give away your position (even if hidden in smoke). At least that's how it has been behaving while I've been playing Tier 3-5 DDs.

    I know about that thread, but given Wargaming's opposition and my own experience, I'm not entirely sure SA is the problem. To me it seems there's something wrong with detection itself (even under smoke).

    Don't forget your AA will keep you spotted in smoke if it's on. Better to keep it off (since it indeed doesn't do anything) all the time than forgetting it on once in smoke.

    I don't know if it's really SA that's broken, lately I've popped visible for a second or even far longer while sitting still in smoke. Mind you there were only a Minekaze and Kongo at 5-7 kms. No other enemy was on that side of the map (only one or two BBs still alive on the other side). No planes around (and my AA disabled, anyway). So it appears to me there's something fishy happening with smoke itself. Frankly I find DDs unplayable right now. Possible bugs aside, there's just too many CVs and FAR too many other DDs that will just keep you spotted wherever you go. And particularly for IJN DDs: spotted DD = sunk DD. One of the reasons my Minekaze stats are at half of what they were two weeks ago, I always run into US gunboat DDs, everywhere -> I die.
  18. And try not losing all your planes in a Tier 6 game with Ryujos or Independences in it (had two battles in my Zuiho yesterday against a Bogue+Independence - there was just nowhere to turn without getting planes shot down).
  19. Underlined (by me) words are most true. Its against broadsides of North Carolinas and Iowas that I've managed most of my best salvoes (30k+) in the Amagi. Including my best salvo ever: 4 citadels and another 3 pens in one Iowa broadside. Sadly I was so amazed I didn't screenshot soon enough to save the exact damage number. I believe it was over 60k damage.

    Most BBs fire enough shells to hit at least with some even when bad dispersion happens. I personally know of only one BB that would really deserve much better accuracy: the Myogi. It doesn't have the firerate, it doesn't have enough shells and even if it hits, most targets will get overpenned. Did I just say "if it hits"? Yes, cause the 6 shells fired can spread out like fireworks exploding all over. Including when you target a broadside of a Wyoming at 6 kms. Mind you I'm not saying that Myogi's shells always spread out and fall all around the target (I managed 2 citadels in one salvo once or twice), what I'm saying is that you can do everything right in a Myogi - be at the right spot with many good targets, aim correctly - and still finish several battles with no damage to speak of (less than 20k).

  22. I might go that route though since I kinda count on getting the premium anyway. But I'm not entirely sure I can squeeze it all into this week so I have an actual benefit from that premium OTHER than just completing the 20 diamond mission. Anyway, it's still a nice event, but as far as I've seen, Project-R was a bit more appealing.
  23. Well, 2500 XP including premium and on any ship is actually achievable by most players, I suppose. Still not me though, cause I have no premium and am unlikely to get any within a week (the last free premium I got ended monday evening - it was the 3 days reward after 0.5.5). I'll probably get a port slot out of this, the premium and maybe one low tier ship.
  24. The profile stats show xp including premium. I otherwise screenshot all good games, and that includes all my over 2000 base xp results. And as I said, I'm not aware of any above 2500.
  25. Hmm, I've never managed 2500 base xp in any ship, unless I'm mistaken (several over 2400, however). And 300 or even 500 battles in a month? So far I'm disappointed on the difficulty of the missions and also the rewards. I was hoping for Tier 5-6 premiums.
