Tak jsem se skoro trefil se svým hádáním. Z kontejneru za Varyag misi mi padl upgrade na radar... Já vím, já vím, leckdo po něm touží, ale já nemám jedinou loď, na kterou bych ho vůbec mohl namontovat. Čili všema pěti bych radši bral i ten Krasny Krym.

Do you guys experience WoWs crash with latest v0.7.3 (i.e. after last patch and "fix") if you play lots of games in a row?

It's true that after a year and a half with this pc without WoWs crashing, I had three crashes these past two weeks. Always just after loading onto the map (specifically twice Space battles and one Coop). Made those two screenshots of the "Critical Error Occured" note. Guess I could go searching for the crash dumpsif needed. -
I am a little worried about this triangular Neighbors map. I see a lot of people camping behind the big islands southwest claiming they're protecting/pressuring the two caps there (which decent players actually will be able to do easily with radar/hydro).

Na to lze jen: WTF?! Aspoň štěstí, že americké lodě nehraju a hrát nechci (s výjimkou těch pár lodí, co jsem vyhrál/získal - alias "darovanému koni...").

Tak to byl týden (se "Space battles"). Evidentně mi WG nic nedopřeje a tak jsem znovu a znovu (a znovu a znovu) dostával do týmu samé případy. Na každou výhru aspoň 4 prohry. Znovu a znovu stejný scénář, kdy polovina týmu vychcípá v pěti minutách bez jakéhokoliv zjevného přínosu a člověk se pak sám snaží o alespoň jeden cap... A těch případů, kdy tak člověk končí s 1000, 1200, 1500 XP v prohře, čili několikanásobkem ostatních v týmu... Pak se jeden může jen divit, že neupadá do hlubokých depresí. Des Moines bez radaru (s letadélkem), Z-52 nikdy nezpravena o Hydro+Smoke kombinaci (i přes můj výklad v chatu), jedinci co ze spawnu vypálí rovnou a přímo do enemy spawnu...

Yes, yes, even CVs have limitations, true. But they still can get places faster with their planes than a DD. (Besides, how many of the AA no fly zones are there in the game, actually? Do people in randoms spec for AA? I certainly was not discussing competitive play.) Put another way, I'll rather have a CV be the last surviving ship on the team than another ship, even a DD. Read that quoted sentence again. I wrote the same thing. CVs have competent players... and the rest. The first part with "average" refers to DDs. -

Point taken. If they hardcapped DDs at say two per team (like CVs on lower tiers) and made maps smaller overall (like I always call for), one or two very good DDs for one team could easily control the whole map and subsequently battle. That could get closer to the CV problem, but: 1) CVs really can fight all over the map, island cover (from both vision and shells) doesn't matter - no DD can ever torp all around, behind islands etc.; 2) CVs have a drastically different gameplay from other classes. At least some DDs play similar to light cruisers, that play similar to other cruisers, that have similarities to even BBs... In that, there should always be more players at least trying out DDs and having some clue about how to play them. The result is more players -> more average players (unlike the huge separation between capable CVs and the rest). In short, you show me I would probably lead the game to doom if I were given control. But as I am not, many many things would have to change to run into the risk of DDs becoming another CV problem. Just adding soft caps is fine and I'm still of the opinion lower cap would be better. EDIT: Yeah, that 5km limit on torpedo friendly damage to be taken into account also caught my eye. Better remove that imit for now indeed... -

That is an interesting opinion. You might be right. Even then though, I have no problem with giving good players an edge over bad ones. -

Somehow those games tend to be awful. Usually one side loses 3 DDs almost insantaneously and the battle is decided right at the start. And regardless of that, any DD caught between so many other DDs has a much tougher job staying concealed and safe. Any cruiser is permanently spotted and defenceless against enemy BBs (I find a combination of a DD and BB together are the strongest, particularly with a 5DDs and 5BBs per team). And any BB (obviously also spotted) is just waiting to get torped from all sides. Really this game needs 3 BBs, 3 DDs, 5-6 cruisers per team as standard (with the occasional carrier). -
Nevím o jakém vide je řeč, ale manuální shoz torpéd je v podstatě jedno kliknutí (při držení Alt a po pečlivé přípravě směru přiblížení letadel). Manuál je dostupný od Tieru 6 výš.

Well the question of whether Massa is actually balanced can only be answered by testing the ship. I just stated my opinion based on the stats alone, and it does look balanced to me. Fires are not really an issue, particularly when you can basically outheal them. Guns I personally don't repair (not that they break much on BBs - with exceptions like Izumo). The only threat is flooding, but that risk is decreased by supposedly good torpedo bulge. EDIT: Oh, and the sigma. Well that is only one part of the equation for hitting targets. Personally I have often much worse results with ships supposedly very accurate (Yamato, lately even Missouri) while doing just fine in others (Normandie). Long story short, I don't see that much difference between a stated 1,7 and 1,9 sigma on the same guns. -
Hádám že ten SC za Varyag mise bude u mne třeba... DCP upgrade. To je hrozně užitečná věcička, narozdíl třeba od dračích signáů, prémiového účtu, prémiových lodí a tak.

Several things: 1) US BBs already have a number of viable captain trainers. So no particular need for another one. 2) Don't forget the drastically sped up CD on the Massa repair party (similar to Gascogne). If you are a more agressive type of captain that likes to get close in your BB, you can use that heal quite well (and it works quite nicely with the buffed secondaries and decent torpedo bulge - well, except against Asashios...). 3) I don't believe the goal is to sell Massa specifically as a first US BB to somebody. As you say, if you consider a US BB premium, you'll generally be far better served with Alabama, Missouri, Arizona, Arkansas Beta or Texas. But well, many people already have one (or more) of those. As the modelling is basically done on Massa for free given Alabama is in game, why wouldn't they want to sell it as an "optional addition"? And as that, would you rather buy another Alabama or a (somewhat) different ship. Again, somebody in search of his first crew trainer will probably get the Alabama instead. But there's no harm for WG, both should cost pretty much the same. I tend to agree that 5DDs per team often leads to worse gameplay than 5BBs per team, regardless of the class of ship I am in. (Particularly the lately widespread 5BBs and 5DDs per team with 2 cruisers - that is just a pain to play with.) However putting a soft cap in only for DDs is absurd. Moreso when BB overpopulation is seemingly a far longer term issue. Just bloody put (at least soft) caps on both classes already, devs! (My pick is 3 per.) -

Ok, those Massachusetts changes I like. Both buffs and nerfs. When it gains advantages for drawbacks (and vice versa) I'm fine with it. Also great they're no longer clones with 'bama. The Soviet imposter BBs I have problems with principially. And these tweaks (read "buffs") certainly don't make me appreciate them any more. Though there are some nerfs to them as well... Ehh, guess we'll have to see how game breaking they actually are. Still, these should have been lower tier BBs all along. I'm kinda worried about USN CAs and CLs being in general too strong now... (though Buffalo is getting slight nerfs) Also, Hakuryu getting 3 fighters? Oh my! *runs to Farazelleth for expert opinion* -
No budiž. Já jsem čekal, že ta testovaná "oprava" zůstane. Ovšem pokud se jim nakonec podaří zobrazovat loď co nejrychleji poté, kdy by zobrazena být měla (a zároveň ponechají okamžité varování na minimapě), tak tím lépe. EDIT: Teda to jsou dneska zázraky ve Space battles! Půlka týmu pod vodou ve 4. minutě zápasu. Druhá půlka po dalších 4-6 minutách. Nepřátelů potopeno: 1-2. Čtyřikrát v řadě. Jinak v mém zkoušení těch T10 lodí musím říct, že je setsakra škoda, že ty týmy stojí za ... Poněvadž jinak by Des Moines/Galaxy fakt stála za to. Bohužel takhle je Zaya/Zao či Aurora/Moskva desetkrát užitečnější. Ty dokážou likvidovat nepřátele jaksi samy, beztoho aby pro ně někdo spotoval a zárověň byly příliš blízko na přežití. EDIT2: Doprčic, Galaxy je vážně nehratelná. Svítím nepř. DD celou bitvu, sám se snažím o capy. Všechno k ničemu. Celý můj tým se honí po krajích mapy, o capy nezájem, o DD nezájem...

Pro mne byl zásadní problém s děly. Prostě málo velice nespolehlivých děl, které se navíc neotočí. Ani na T7 s Duke of York nebo KGV to není o moc lepší, byť je děl víc a otáčejí se rychleji. Uvidím porovnání s francouzskými bitevkami, i ty se mi zatím jeví daleko spolehlivější (o IJN BB nemluvě, kupodivu i s německými bitevkami se mi střílí podstatně lépe).

Hele tady se Sigiho musím zastat, nejenže tam zdroj napsal, ale ještě zdroje připisuje pravidelně, když posílá informace (mimochodem to zobrazování spotlých lodí, fakt bezva "fix"). Prostě na hloupou otázku naštvaná odpověď, to mi přijde fér.

Teda dneska to byl děs. Z nějakého důvodu je vůbec tenhle týden všude plno DDček. Čili znovu jsme na typických týmech 5 BB, 5 DD, 2 CL/CA. Což, jak jsem zmínil, je děs. V tom si může hru užít snad jen německé DD s hydrem. (Na okraj, samozřejmě radarů měl vždy nepřítel více nebo nejhůř stejně. A v případě krapet rozdílných MM měl nepřítel i více DD. Prostě bezva.) No, každopádně výsledky tomu odpovídaly, hry nezábavné, zpravidla končící pod 10 minut naprosto jasným výsledkem.

Hmm, a tohle chtějí jen u DD? Poněvadž pokud má ohle být nové fungování AP obecně, tak se obávám, že to podstatně překope fungováí bitevek i křižníků. A jen tak mimochodem, Coop já velice rád. Zato jsem ale nikdy neměl problém s chatbanem.

Wait a second, in the EU announcement, regarding MM fixes, it shows the new MM with one team 2 Tier 10 BBs (to one on the other team) while the other has two Tier 10 DDs to one on the first team. I thought the point was to mirror the teams. So they're just equalizing the amount of DDs, BBs etc? Well that's pathetic. And nowhere near the needed Radar amount or gunboat to torp DD numbers on each team... -

By those last three weeks of stats, Midway always has better winrate except for the first week on Asia server (24.3.). After that first week (when the DMG was already hugel favouring Midway), even on asia server Midway took the top spot.
