Just play RU DDs and the Situational Awareness skill will do that job for you considering how bad their concealment/firing-penalty is.

Well, this is one of the responses from a recent Q&A, kindly translated by Carnotzet: Q. Developers don't want to create "pay to win" situations, but what do you intend to do if this type of situation arises? Since your stance is "we don't nerf premiums", we can only watch when such situation arises, no? And you seem to have forgotten about the Nikolai. According to information kindly provided by ArdRaeiss, his winrate with Nikolai is 7-8% higher than with BB's of the same tier, and 10% higher than the battered Myogi. In my opinion, you should do something about it. What do you think? Your colleagues from WoT (yes, yes, I know that ships aren't tanks), when making premiums, kept a "security cushion" by introducing the principle of "premium machinery isn't as reliable". You don't have such cushion. How do you intend to implement new premiums, since experience has shown that you regularly make balancing mistakes with premium ships, so that they become seal-clubbers? A. Nikolai is no longer for sale. We don't plan to change its stats. In my opinion, it's a good and efficient ship, that is, most importantly, very competitive with BBs of its tier, which explains its popularity. We intend to run technical production tests in order to anticipate this kind of situations. If you want to help, please apply for ST. What's so special about the Imperator?

I'm personally satisfied with the amount of diversity currently in the game and we got plenty of stuff to play with in the game already. My issue is that it requires too much grinding in order to access a lot of the stuff currently available, even with premium time. Right now there are no ships I would love playing more than the Yamato, Des Moines and Khabarovsk, but I'm only up to Amagi/Pensacola/Tashkent at the moment and its probably going to still take several months until I got a single T10 ship unless I play a lot more and focus only on a single line.

Kurbain replied to anonym_DEInhM4yznj6's topic in Die Messe (Offtopic)
Mamma mia, 2 Tage ohne neue Waifu-Fragen? -
I wouldn't consider it "too solid", but the Anshan definitely deserves its place at T6 considering its stronger than the Ognevoi. The 4 KM extra torpedo range and 4 turret layout alone make it superior to the Ogno. An excellent ship for its price and a fine choice to hunt Kamikazes with. Only thing worrying about this deal is the fact that its another step in the "World of PremiumShips" direction. A WG employee recently said they have no issues with the performance of Imperator Nikolai. The Mogami gets nerfed while the Mikhail receives a buff. And now WG releases a T6 Gremy and C-Hull Benson with Hydro, which are probably the best ships you can use in ranked.

Karma-hacks confirmed? Clearly this is worse than XVM and Aim-assist combined. Burn the heretic!
-
I would assume it is 30% and not 50%. As far as I can tell, any premium ship which is T5 or lower receives +30% XP and T6 or above receives +50%. My Tachibana, Imperator, Murmansk and Marblehead got +30%. Anshan, Blyskawica and Tirpitz got +50%.
-
It got these two torpedo options: 4 KM: 8 KM: 8 KM torpedoes are a no-brainer if you ask me. 4 KM more range for 5 knots less and 9 sec more reload.
-
I just decided to buy it. Here's a picture of the camo, statistics and the ship itself all in one: The current Boot Camp Challenge provides a rudder shift upgrade module as its final reward. I recommend getting that one for the Anshan since 4,4 sec rudder shift is too much for a DD. If you have any questions regarding detailed statistics, feel free to ask.
-
Does anybody know which special properties the Kamikaze R camouflage has? Was wondering since the Anshan camo has unusual effects.
-
I've recently been thinking about how much fun it would be to get a T1 Hermelin with a T5 captain and enter higher tier battles. That ship has the same amount of AP damage per minute as the Kiev/Tashkent, except it is only T1 and would have 7,5 KM detectability. And since it's a T1 cruiser, it is very agile and small, making it hard to hit despite its slow speed. I can totally imagine that thing holding its own at T4/T5.
-
Thanks for pointing that out. I forgot about the pinned threads since most of them are really old.
-
Says so in the announcement: http://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/premium-ship-spotlight-anshan/ And Trigger_Happy_Dad provided a screenshot of the camo:
-
Well, the most important part about the Anshan is probably the camouflage, which offers: +50% XP gain -3% detectability 100% more free XP earned I'm considering buying it since I don't own any T6 premium ship yet, but the 5,9 KM firing penalty and that it's not Russian are making me think twice before buying it. I would much rather own a Gremy, which is a) stronger despite being a tier lower. b) Russian. Having a ship to to train RU DD captains with is excellent since RU DDs are complete crap without a properly trained captain. Playing RU DDs without Situational Awareness and AFT is suicide.

Preview | "Anshan" | Ein Einblick auf den 6er Premium-Zerstörer
Kurbain replied to EiKarrRamba's topic in Videos, Streams & Blogs
Also das Dreifache. -

Kurbain replied to Takemikazuchi_1121's topic in Die Messe (Offtopic)
Yes, they will be reset. Doesn't matter whether the captain is on a ship, off a ship, in re-training or whatever. If I remember correctly it was this thread were the official statements about this matter were posted: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/31444-some-interesting-info-from-ru/ But it may have been one of the dedicated 0.5.3 threads instead.

US and IJN High-Tier CAs already have those detection ranges assuming you take the necessary modules/skills, but the effectiveness of such a detection range is very limited apart from stealth-firing. 10-12 KM is still not low enough to hunt DDs and not very useful against CAs/BBs, because if you dare to get within 10-12 KM of the enemy team you will most likely get blown up very quickly as soon as you start shooting.

Tier 9 Ekonomy.. WHY so axpasive to play ?
Kurbain replied to Zerra_Channel's topic in General Discussion
Maybe if you are playing a Midway. Even the Yamato only had 86K average damage last week. (Hakuryu: 83K) 100K is a great result at any tier. Unless you happen to be called papepidupi, Crysantos, allufewig, Flamu, _FTD_ etc. Then you better do at least 100K or I am gonna be disappointed. -
Yeah, pink is the one colour I really don't want to be associated with a combat ship. Make it rainbow-coloured for all I care. There are some good-looking orange and blue alternatives in this thread: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/41314-skin-arp-myoko/ Which thread are you talking about?

Tier 9 Ekonomy.. WHY so axpasive to play ?
Kurbain replied to Zerra_Channel's topic in General Discussion
Those evil Autorapair...I mean Autorepar...no, wait...autorepair costs! Yes, they are pretty dastardly, but please keep in mind that a) you must have done most of your damage to BBs since you would normally earn more than 145K credits for 100K damage. b) the high-tiers are axpasive...I mean expensive on purpose to entice you to buy premium time. WG didn't make this game to entertain you, but to entertain your wallet. Nah, 945 base experience are normal on a loss if those 100K were all done to BBs. Keep in mind that he is not using premium. -
I would say the game did an excellent job if it managed to entertain you for a year. I recommend playing some different games until the English cruisers and German battleships are introduced. Forcing yourself to play and enjoy the game may just decrease your interest in it even more.
