    Just an opinion

Getting killed by that one Blyskawica in your Kongo must have really gotten to you on a deep psychological level if it made you create 3 threads about it and still bothers you. Is that number from firing tests? The Yamato barely got to use its main guns at all as far as I know.

    Concealment vs Range

Concealment. Dealing the first strike and being able to get into an advantageous position before the engagement starts is a huge plus. Range is quite important, too, but after a certain point it loses a lot of its usefulness because you barely hit anything. Each ship has its optimal range (which are all below 15 KM except for Zao/Hindenburg/Movska) at which it is most effective and the better your concealment the easier it is to reach that range and stay in it or leave.

New tier 3 British premium destroyer Campbeltown

Hm, that's an interesting idea. There's still plenty of ways WG/Lesta could customize ships that don't involve the main statistics. It could give some historical flavour or add unique strengths/weakspots. Ramming damage versus certain ship classes as you mentioned. AA bonuses versus certain aircraft classes. Detonation chance. (Better save some anti-detonation flags if you ever want to play the Hood) Fire or flooding susceptability. Accuracy bonus for dive bombers against the ship. Resistance against certain types of damage. Manual aircraft control. Ability to see over very small islands. Higher zoom levels. Unique aiming view or targeting reticule. Unique HUD.
  4. I doubt Mirror matchmaking would have a large impact on how interesting the battles turn out to be. Firstly the teams you would be facing are still going to be different every time since your own team composition will vary every battle. Secondly the way the enemies play their tanks/ships has a larger impact on how the battle plays out than the type of tank/ship itself. It's mostly the human element that really makes the battles different, not the different tanks. Games like Counter-Strike and Rocket League are a good example of this. That said, the game is fine without Mirror MM in my opinion and even though it would be interesting even with Mirror MM, the extra variance that comes from the lack thereof is appreciated.

Some interesting info around the world

I wonder why that's the case. Ships are much bigger than tanks and WoT has been around for a lot longer, which means they should have more experience creating tanks than ships. Are the tanks much more complex internally? A 6 month difference is huge.
  6. Carnotzet just translated some answers from Russian developers regarding this question: Carnotzet, on 19 March 2016 - 11:20 AM, said: Of course, we could easily put a filter in the game that says "no more than 3 DD's on each team" and adapt everything else to that rule. But I would be happier if the players themselves would step on DD's toes, with beefed-up cruisers. It'd make me much happier." mal_h on DD's overrepresentation : "The option of limiting the number of DD's in a battle is quick and simple. However it could have a snowball effect on the DD's that are not chosen by the matchmaker. Let's say 10 DD's enter the queue, 6 of them are chosen in a battle, 4 remain in the queue. 10 more DD's enter the queue, the matchmaker let only 6 of them enter a battle. Now, 8 are still waiting in the queue. So in the end, after a critical amount of time (if all of them have the patience to stay in the queue), will the matchmaker throw them all at once in a battle (pure DD battle)? Or will it throw them back to the port?" Guess it's not going to happen anytime soon.
Wo? Was? Ach ja, die Atago!"

British DD on its way in

2 Triple Launchers with 57 knots and 7,5 KM range? Looks promising.

    WoWs comparison Sheets

You can download it with this option: But you have to log in with a Google account in order to do it. Here's a .pdf version I uploaded for you: https://www.dropbox.com/s/25uc41y60hrfbfk/WoWs%20Comparison%20Sheet%20Update.pdf?dl=0
  12. My two questions: 1. How is the introduction of weather effects into WOWS coming along and will they ever have an effect on gameplay like influencing speed, course or aim? 2. Any news about the introduction of a PvE campaign which involves the recreation of historic battles, escort missions, etc.?
  14. The matchmaking in WoWS certainly has its faults, but it's not as bad as you suggest. You simply got very unlucky, which understandably is clouding your judgement. Even the worst players in this game tend to have winrates of around 37-40%, which means despite their best efforts to be a hindrance to their team they still win 4 out of 10 games. That means even being AFK you could have won 4 or 5 of those 11 games if you hadn't gotten unlucky that day.
  17. The St. Patrick's Day Event has started today, offering the following bonuses until the 21th of March: x3 Experience for the first win (A very good time to use your Papa Papa flags, which give +300% Free XP!) 15% cheaper price for the 6 and 12 months of premium if bought with doubloons. 14% if bought with real money. A better Free XP rate. 1 doubloon gives you 35 Free XP instead of 25. Furthermore a mission called "Earn it!" has been added, running until 21th of March as well and giving you a free Port Slot if you complete it. Last but not the least, the Marblehead will be on sale for the next 4 days in the 2 following variants: Marblehead - Ultimate: Marblehead Unbundled: Before buying the Marblehead, keep in mind that it is an A-Hull Omaha, which means its range, rudder shift time and AA are bad. Range: 12,7 KM Rudder Shift Time: 7,8 seconds AA: 11 DPS at 3,5 KM It's torpedoes got a lot of range (8,2 KM) but are very slow (49 knots). On the other hand it is the best ship in the game to cause fires with. Despite its statistics suggesting that its fire chance is identical to the Omaha, it is actually much better than the Omaha at it because the game appears to be pretending for the fire chance calculations that the Marblehead is using 203mm guns. 20+ fires in a battle are common with the Marblehead.

  19. I guess you were hoping the Murmansk would be on offer for less than usual? The Murmansk is always available for purchase. Assuming you are interested in a month of premium, you can actually get the Murmansk for a decent price by buying the Skipper Bundle at the moment: You can use the 3000 Doubloons to buy the Murmansk, leaving you with 500 Doubloons and 1 month of premium. That's a ship worth 12,87€ + a month of premium (worth about 10€) and 500 doubloons (worth about 2€) for 20€. In this case you are essentially buying Murmansk in a bundle, though.

    Montana armour

Hm, I didn't know that, thanks for mentioning it. Usually the IJN have the bigger citadels. The amount of citadel penetrations I have managed against enemy Iowas compared to the Izumo/Yamato suggests the same, though, and as far as I know their armor layout is nearly identical.
  21. Kurbain

    Montana armour

The Montana doesn't have bad armor. Its armor at the front end, rear end and citadel are identical to the armor of the Yamato. A Yamato should be able to frontally penetrate another Yamato just as easily as a Montana. Haven't played my Yamato enough to know for sure yet, but I have managed a lot of nasty hits against enemy Yamatos in my Tirpitz, Amagi and Izumo so far. Only its deck armor is inferior to the Yamato (150 vs 200 mm), which is undoubtedly an advantage, but the Yamato is the only ship in the IJN BB line to have superior deck armor compared to the US. Sterbu1, on 08 March 2016 - 10:45 PM, said: You guys ever heard devs talking about making Monty better? The amount of credits and experience earned by the Montana has been notably increased in recent patches. It's easier now to play a round in a Montana and make a profit than in a Yamato, despite the lower average damage. Apart from that the Yamato heal got nerfed and now heals 33% less. No stat buffs for the Montana, though.

  24. Check this thread: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/41831-127km-gun-range-is-an-insult-for-a-ship-of-the-omaha-class-marblehead/ In my 2 matches with the Marblehead I managed to cause 21 and 23 fires despite less than 200 hits, which leads me to believe Dropsiq.
