Personal Offer - Have you already recieved one?
Kurbain replied to Trigger_Happy_Dad's topic in General Discussion
Nope, it applies to the in-game doubloon purchase as well: I haven't received any personal offers, so this deal should be available to everyone. That means Trigger actually has to pay more than everybody else at the moment for 7 days of premium because of his personal offer. Even with the large discount buying 30 days of premium is still cheaper, though, assuming you are interested in purchasing that many days of premium. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Kurbain replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
I met Crooq_Lionfang, skvido and SteeL_J4MES all at the same time in the enemy team yesterday on the Tears in the Desert map. Unfortunately my team didn't stand much of a chance against such a concentrated force of forumites. Crooq tanked for the team in his Izumo, skvido was giving out free AP samples on his Hindenburg and SteeL_J4MES in his Hakuryu sent our DDs to the bottom of the ocean pretty quickly. Nice work! Unfortunately most forumites I meet in battle seem to end up in the enemy team. You don't need to be afraid to be on the same side as me, guys. -
Sexy, schnell, gute Feuerrate, dicke Panzerung, Torpedos. Was will man mehr?)

Are you perhaps trying to play an aircraft carrier? I've never had to wait 4 minutes for a match at T7 even if the player count was as low as 2000.
-
Yes, the average experience shown in the profile is definitely affected by premium. Easy way to notice this is to take a look at the stats of Trigger_Happy_Dad. His average experience is unusually low despite his excellent winrate and average damage because he doesn't use premium. Nobody would be getting above 2000 average experience in a ship if premium wasn't counted. I've played my Warspite for the first time today and even though I didn't manage to get over 2000 base experience in any of my matches, my profile shows 2131 average experience. It not affected by flags or daily bonuses, though.

Yeah, me too. It also happens a lot to me whenever I want to turn directly after sending a message in chat. Feels like whenever I send a message in chat my game doesn't respond to directional input anymore for the next 2 or 3 seconds.

Thanks for the pictures, Crooq and Trainspite. Imperator I forgot to check and the Arkansas + Sims names I actually overlooked. Didn't think to check straight at the rear. Anybody found a name on Atago or Tirpitz yet?

Kurbain replied to Holdi's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Warum werden so viele IJN DD gefahren
Kurbain replied to 13XxNonamexX13's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Opening a thread just for the purpose of saying "Overpen is a [edited] joke" is pointless, no matter how good or bad his stats are. If Flamu or iChase had opened this thread it would have been just as useless.
-
We don't. "Stats hidden" is just a part of the forum bingo.

Interesting. Could you make a screenshot?Maybe that's the case for the other premiums as well whose names I wasn't able to locate in port.Would be pretty strange if their name only shows up during matches, though. Why would they remove the names on some ships when they are port?
-
I can't locate the name of the Arkansas anywhere on its hull.

The most important factor regarding the superior survivability may be the lower amount of turrets on the high-tier US CAs. Baltimore uses 3 turrets and Ibuki 5.That means the Ibuki has 5 magazines that can be hit by a ship to deal citadel damage (or even detonate it) and the Baltimore only got 3. Furthermore I think the magazines are located higher up on the IJN CAs.

I've done a bit of testing and these are the results: Warspite: Speed Time 22,5 knots 39 seconds 23,5 knots 57 seconds Fuso: Speed Time 23,5 knots 42 seconds 24,5 knots 62 seconds Tirpitz: Speed Time 29,5 knots 46 seconds 30,5 knots 63 seconds Yamato: Speed Time 26 knots 45 seconds 27 knots 67 seconds Column on the right is the time required to reach the given speed from 0 knots. I didn't use any flags. Would seem that acceleration is tied to either tier or displacement. It's definitely not uniform and its not tied to top speed because the Fuso and Warspite reach their top speed faster than the Tirpitz, but the Yamato doesn't, even though all 3 of them have a lower top speed than the Tirpitz.

Only been able to find ship names on the hull of the following ships: Gremyashchy: Kutuzov: Blyskawica: Murmansk: Marblehead: Aurora: Diana: Seems they prefer putting the names on Russian ships. If any other premium ship in the game has its name written somewhere, it must be at a sneaky place somewhere on the superstructure (or I was blind).
-
Premium ships have their name displayed somewhere on the hull? I had no idea. Guess it is time to play "Spot the ship name". Considering it's only yesterday that I learned that CVs can't detonate, I guess I still now barely anything about this game, even after over 1500 matches. Noob status confirmed. If you see me in the enemy team, please do not shot at me, I'm still in the learning phase.

I still consider the Mogami an upgrade to the Myoko even after the nerfs, you just gotta choose the 203 mm variant now. It got better concealment, more torpedoes and much better turret traverse. The higher firing rate on the Myoko isn't worth much since you'll often have to wait for your turrets to get into position, particularly during evasive maneuvers. I've missed out on a ton of damage due to the horrible turret traverse of the Myoko.
-
Nope, prices are still the same. 49.99€ and 25.09€ are displayed for me, which are the prices they've had since the beginning of the sale.

Kurbain replied to Holdi's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Pyrdacor, on 02 April 2016 - 06:13 PM, said: Wobei, mal rein sachlich betrachtet: Wenn ich mir meine Gefechte heute anschaue, dann führten die schon die einleitende These des TE so ziemlich ad absurdum: In jedem Gefecht waren ordentlich Schlachtschiffe dabei. Von "schleichendem Tod" also keine Spur. -
Letting the Ibuki go is nothing to be sad about, because it means you have unlocked the Zao, which is a stronger Ibuki. Well, that's more or less true for all cruisers. Ibuki is one of the better ships to dodge BB salvos with, though, because of the low profile. Hm, each ship has different credit and XP modifiers. The Ibuki is quite a strong ship, which means Ibuki's XP modifier might be on the lower end of the scale, but personally I haven't felt that its low. I tend to get a lot of XP for the damage I do. I assume you are probably too busy burning BBs to a crisp, which as Panocek pointed out doesn't reward much XP and credits. Attacking cruisers and destroyers is a better choice. I've had several rounds with above 2500 base XP in my Ibuki so far and in some of them I didn't even do 100K damage. Killing DDs is a much more efficient way to gain credits and XP. I'm at 2294 average XP with the Ibuki per match. Assuming you have unlocked Concealment Expert, the Ibuki is one of the best cruisers to "hunt" DDs with because of the torpedoes and 9,7 KM concealment.

I would really like to own an Atlanta due to its unique playstyle, but unfortunately it is very expensive for an underperforming T7 cruiser. The Blyskawica was available for 20€ despite being the strongest T7 DD, but the Atlanta costs 34€ and is one of the weakest and most situational ships in the game. I hope they will give it a big discount sooner or later.
-
Does that mean the 5% speed flag also increases acceleration? Do you happen to know if the 20% acceleration module also improves braking/reversing?
-
Yeah, they definitely need it. In my own experience no class in this game is less co-operative than CVs. Never ever even once in the game have I received support from a CV player after asking them for AA cover or DD spotting. 95% of the cases I don't even get a "No", just silence. Had some really frustrating cases recently. In one match I was in a cruiser close to our base which was being capped by 2 DDs and asked our CV to spot them so I could kill them. CV didn't care in the slightest and rather continued attacking BBs. In another match I spotted a DD at the edge of the map going straight for our 2 CVs. Was 7 KM away from him but he got de-spotted. Asked our CVs to spot it for me, but they didn't care. I had to spent 5 minutes to chase after that DD and only managed to kill it after it got randomly spotted by their planes when it was 4 KM away from our CVs. Almost seems to me as if CV players want to lose on purpose, although I guess the more likely scenario is that they are really focused on micro-managing and do not notice the chat at all. Either way it's really frustrating. Well, they said "Regarding Tirpitz's AA Range, we'll look into it". To me that's the kind of answer you give if you don't plan to change anything and just want to appease the person that asked. Yes, it's long-range AA got a big DPS buff.Furthermore Manual AA Control has been introduced, which greatly boosts the long-range AA.I imagine a Tirpitz with Manual AA can shoot down 2 times as many planes as an AFT Tirpitz before the patch. Unfortunately I haven't been able to test the AA capabilities of my Manual AA Tirpitz yet.
