That is the problem with that Asashio though. It's not that it can't do all those things, its the fact that the players that play the ship only care about DMG farming. And when 2 out of your teams 3 DD's is off on their own adventures not doing anything good for the team, the enemy team can easily gain map control. Anyone that likes how the Asashio plays is lacking when it comes to knowledge of DD play IMO. And the only thing that this ship is going to accomplish is to get these players that think the Asashio is the key to the BB problems being massively disappointed and end up complaining here. BTW if you cant contest caps without suiciding, please play something else. -

Both ranked battles and random battles. And DD's job is not to "hunt" BB's like you say. DD's job is to actively contest, spot and deny areas with torps. That is their general job. The problem with Asashio is that it promotes the worst kind of gameplay. The Kiev can bully other DD's out of caps and has ok torps, so that is not a good argument. -

The little teamplay we have now is that some few DD players like myself actually spot and actively contest caps. However those Asashio players don't and you think BB's will team up with DD's and cruisers now? Man you are wrong on so many levels. -

As much as i also like to make BBabies cry and are tired of the same things you are, i don't think this ship is good for teamplay. And if you don't care about that you need to look at things in the long term not in the short term. This ship will make you laugh and have fun now, but we all know what happens after a while (old shima cough) -
Surprise, surprise. Yet so many still think cruisers are OP and BB's under perform.

Hi. Good for you. There is nothing wrong with the RTS aspect of CV's? That is why its an overflow of CV players right? If i wanna play RTS i go and play SC2. Its balanced around being an RTS, UI is great and you play against players that have the same view and controls. Not so much in WoWs. I respect all the good CV players for sticking with it, but the gameplay is not inviting to new players, and when you don't have that aspect, the class will die out eventually and i doubt WG wants that. So from what i understand they are redoing the whole shindig. Which is good imo. Just hope they don't make the gameplay idiot proof like they have done with BB's. (No offense).

Everything you are good at in life is easy. That is how it works. Always find it funny that CV mains are the only ones allowed to talk about CV's on this forum, yet they always have an opinion on other ships. Hypocritical much?

All T10 DD's will be viable in T10 ranked imo. Personally i would play Gearing and Z-52. Gearing is a great cap contester, great guns, good AA, great smoke and can reach targets far out with the 16.5km torps if needed. The Z-52 is imo the best cap contester with the smoke and hydro combo. Also very fast torp reload. It all comes down to which DD you are best in though. Play the one that is the best and most fun for you. -
Do you guys experience WoWs crash with latest v0.7.3 (i.e. after last patch and "fix") if you play lots of games in a row?

Seems like your issue is knowledge when it comes to DDs. Or lack of. "blind fire volleys of torpedoes to the center of the map and get ridiculous results". That is just simply not possible at the tiers you have played. Seems like you think torps are OP. Go play DD's for a while and come back later. Also when you get past the low tiers, players start using W, A, S, D and that makes hitting torps very hard. -

Read the topic. It has already been said. You put it like he has done something wrong and we encourage it. He's a new player with a high tier premium. Like many many others. If you have an issue with that take it up with WG. I think its a good thing he posted on the forum. Who knows, maybe he will stumble into another thread and learn something. More than you can say for so many others. (Like the teamkilling Tirpitz with 220 games that killed me yesterday. He spent 10 minutes hunting me) I would rather have OP on my team tbh. Atleast he is trying. That is already a big improvement compared to most BB players. -

Hes doing better than i did in the start. I actually played almost 100 games thinking i was really good. Turned out i was playing Co-op. Keep it up OP. We all started out as potatoes. -
