While I'm normally against BBs with absurd range and Warspite it's a good ship for her tier I wish she had a slight buff to range considering how often she has to fight higher tiers with way more range. I like the ship but I hate that she tends to be dependant of that stupid spotter plane that changes your camera to sometimes fight back all the higher tier BBs she has to face almost everytime. Could use 1 or maybe 2 km (if WG feels generous) more of standard range.- 59 replies

While usually that's the case I have to agree that something is happening here. Today I spend doubloons to get the Dunkerque (because lol, why not, it's new year, I got myself a present) and in one of the battles I came across a full broadside Graf Spee at 6 km. Shot at the waterline, right in the citadel and I look at my ribbons expecting a citadel. Ok, no such luck, just 5 penetrations. But I just did 790 damage. The Graf Spee survived, it's not that she just have 790 HP, it was at almost full health still. And I know that knocking out modules scores penetrations but no damage, but how am I supposed to have such and extremely f**k you from RNG to break 4 modules at once? Where are so many modules? Something's weird here.

Any of the other IJN Mogami class cruisers with a at least usable turret traverse speed as a premium. Would add something else to the lack of high tier IJN premium ships too.- 59 replies

Just got a weird idea. I don't know if something like that could be implemented but well, here's my idea. If WG wants to implement some magical detector of pesky invisible ships maybe they can do something like a skill that shows to you the shell flight time of the last shell that hit you of a ship that's undetected. Sounds weird, but if that could be implemented think about this. If you're shot from a ship that's not using smoke, just the terrain or some invisifire capability you get a little notification, maybe next to the detected icon that shows the flight time that shot had. Shell flight time changes a lot between different types of ships and nations, so actually for now it doesn't seem like much. But if the player has some sort of skill, with that info and looking when the shells go for him with things like number of shells, shell arcs and estimating the speed of the shell in combination from the direction you see the shells coming from you could make a general idea of the area and general distance at where's who's shooting at you. The one that's shooting you is still undetected, he lose nothing, and you have a bit of extra information you wouldn't normally have, but you don't have something pointing exactly where the enemy ship is. You don't even know if it's the closest ship to you, maybe it's a BB or cruiser from behind the cover of an island. And that wouldn't ruin any normal detection or ambushes for torpedos like RPF. My two cents for a possible alternative.- 14 replies

I'm not questioning the importance of the planes in RL, not that Belfast had none of them either. But just from a in-game point of view, Belfast it's quite fine as it is right now, and the in-game spotter planes could be better. I wouldn't have any problems with them in the game if they increase the range for a short time as they do, but without changing the usual angles of the camera for aiming. But I guess then we would have more BBs camping, so I guess it's fine as it is anyways. I still see Scharnhorst using them to shoot over 22 km with those shells and dispersion.

You're worried about a spotter plane? Why would you want that? I personally hate them, I can't get used to the change of the angle of the camera. IMO opinion even for low tier BBs it's a waste of a slot, I wish they could have that lone fighter, that only plane is better than the spotter plane. I would understand if it was a fighter (maybe, because it's a Belfast, not a BB in this case), but...

I don't have enough time to download and play the public test server and everyone is ranting (and for good reason) about the RPS skill, but there's something else that catches my attention and I'd appreciate any answer from those who tested all what's going around the captains now. I'm curious about how exactly works that "fast training" or something like that with captains. From what I read it looks like that when you have and 18 point captain you can use XP to... transfer XP to different captains? Not sure about if it's like this, as I said some explanation of how it works whould be appreciated. Also, that XP you use, it's the XP you earn with the captain or it works with XP from elite/premium ships?

Same here, I'm at 17 points with a captain for my Tirpitz and Scharnhorst, but it's quite hard to keep leveling up that guy. Now he asks for something like 368000 XP IRC for another point, but well, looks like if I keep spamming that guy it's going to be worth it.

You still have to retrain it for a regular ship, but for example if you have a 19 points captain you can use XP from premium ships or gained by that captain above the 19 points to pay the retraining with that XP.

From what I understand it's that when you have a 19 point captain, that captain can use all the XP that you have from premium ships from the same nation as the captain (sorry, re-reading it it clearly says that the nation of the ship it doen't matter, you just need a 19 point captain, and that's all) to use as XP for captains in general. Another question I have is that while I could understand that, while all of this it's quite nice, you still have to reach 19 (18?) points with a captain to be able to do all of this, right? If you for example have a 16/17 points captain you won't be able to do all of this when the patch is implemented, right? Or you can do it even if you don't have a maxed out captain?

Anda, cierto que yo no he probado el test, asi que saque mi conclusión simplemente de comentarios en el foro inglés, pero tal y como van las cosas en las últimas semanas no esperaba de golpe algo tan... conveniente para el jugador y no para ellos. Mmm... No, no es tan bonito, parece que cuando tengas un comandante con 18 puntos, podrás pagar con el excedente de XP siguiente cambiarle los puntos distribuidos... a ese comandante mismo, y solo ese. No van a tirar tan fácil por la borda su mejor fuente de ingresos despues de los barcos y tiempo premium. -
Pues nada, 2 G. Kurfürst, un North Carolina y una Bismarck haciéndole focus a mi Yamato. Una Kagero y una Shimakaze pisándome los talones y 20 minutos y 67 torpedos spoteados después mi Yamato todavía a flote tras solo un torpedo de los 67 ser capaz de darme tanqueando 149000 y pico de daño y con cerca de 6 millones de daño potencial. El desayuno de cualquier Yamato.

Parece que lo que tienen planeado en vez de eso es que ahora cuando llegues con un comandante a los 18 puntos, seguirá habiendo los absurdos 9.999.999 de XP para conseguir 19 puntos, pero que una vez llegado ese punto podras usar ese excedente de XP del comandante que no va a llegar nunca a ninguna parte en redistribuir las habilidades pagando esa XP en vez de doblones, para eso tiene pinta de ser la flecha. Mientras no tengas 18 puntos en el comandante a tirar de doblones, como siempre. (Algo en esas líneas he leído en el foro inglés vaya, tampoco es que este 100% seguro). Sería muy raro que con un cambio tan grande en las habilidades no se resetearan los puntos de los comandantes cuando las nuevas habilidades se implementen y que pudieras volverlos a asignar gratuitamente, ya lo hicieron hace un tiempo. -

You would need to create a new account for that server and start the game from zero. Edit: Oh, and download another client for that server, since now we're not even the same version of the game.

You require at least tier 7 for doing some of the missions in this server, and some of them are ever tier 8. And forget about just XP.

Wrong server, those missions are for the NA server. This is the EU server, and since we're so special we don't have those missions.

A battle with my Yamato this morning. I had two G.Kurfürst, a North Carolina and a Bismark focusing me with a Kagero and a Shimakaze hunting me. But nothing could stop the graceful dance of a Yamato under enemy fire between torps. 67 torps spotted but only one was good enough to touch the almighty ship (OMG WG nerf torps ffs! ), which scored me almost 6 million of potential damage only to still survive the battle. They almost made me regret not running Superintendent for the extra heal but just the extra heal from the premium heal was enough. -

Vigilance is good, but Belfast has so many consumables to question that Superintendent is a better choice for that ship. -
