    I like the ship, looks beautiful. I got interested so I googled it and found the wikipedia page (maybe not the most accurate info but it's something) . Looked at the armor. 70 mm main belt armor. Atlanta has what? 89 mm? I'm a main BB player, man. I really want something that encourages me to play cruisers but you can't tell me that something has 70 mm armor...

    I'd consider myself pretty unbiased since I'm Spanish but honestly I'm looking forward to Italian ships more than I can about RN and French ones together (with all respect to those navies), but yeah, Italian ships seem more interesting and some of them are pretty beautiful. To OP: It seems that the BB Roma will be realeased maybe this year as a premium BB, so maybe we don't see a proper Italian line this year but we'll see Italian ships in the future and you and Italians aren't the only ones waiting for them so as always, have a little more patience. As said before WG can't release all navies at once.

    Yes, DDs specially need some compensation. Even if it's a not intended mechanic players aren't guilty of exploiting a mechanic that was there and proved effective. I think the reduced time to the extended visibility range while firing could be a nice idea.

    Yes, in every DD vs DD fight, and they don't care much about that, but they where not spotted EVERY single fight after that unless they go hide behind a rock or don't shoot while they don't have smoke available. That's why after dealing with the enemy DDs in the first minutes of battle I see non IJN DDs either doing what I said earlier or DD players are going to learn to by default go in packs all the time and smoke all the time, go all of them in one smoke and the next DD use the smoke when the first fades. Which could be a good idea, but I don't see that being that effective since that would mean that one radar cruiser would then radar a smoke and spot a bunch of DDs together in the same point and everyone would shoot there and delete all of them in a very short time.

    While I don't think that stealth firing was that broken (and before you ask, surprise, I'm a BB player) to need to remove it I though something. A more possitive look at it. IJN DDs have always been the worst performing DDs. And since most of them are that torpedo focused (RIP Akizuki though) I expect that this removal of stealthfiring it's going to hurt to every other DD other than IJN ones, so maybe we can look at it as an indirect (finally) IJN DDs buff? USN and RU DDs are quite focused on guns and when they remove the stealthfiring they're going to be spotted the moment they fire. Or at least you'll see where the shells come from if they're in smoke or behind an island and will get heavily punished the moment they stop doing one of those two things, which will leave IJN DDs a lot more freedom to sail everywhere without fearing that much to be suddenly spotted and outgunned by every other DD. But yeah, I think USN and RU DDs will still have their place, but I see them moving a lot more around islands and places with cover leaving any open water area just to IJN DDs.

    I like to play BBs the most, so not big problem for me. But I'm some people, specially the ones that have premium DDs are going to feel that they deserve a refund for how it will affect the way they play since it's not what they payed for. Not if I have something closer (closer than said DD, huh?) or that requires a priority over that. But yeah, of course. It's a DD, removing enemy DDs is a great advantage and I won't waste the opportunity to damage or remove one of them just because they do the usual dodges, if they can't even shoot without being spotted the better, faster to deal with them. Of course it's gonna hurt them and they'll suffer from it, but hey, it's DDs.[edited] DDs again.

    I've been watching this thread from time to time and it's actually hilarious how it really seems that the average player actually lives ingame like Smaug or something. I'm on my way to 80 million but I have to admit I started to have that much money recently since for now I'm not that interested in researching any more lines, and I don't have many of them, only one T10 in fact so I wasn't expecting these results to be honest.
  10. Meh, TBH I'm not even mad. Really. I can complain about different treatment between servers and wonder why the [edited] is that hard to communicate a little bit between servers and do global events that would prevent all this s**tstorms ever single time. But the thing is that I don't even expected the game to have a carnival event. Here in EU or in whatever server. Which to be fair it's a good way to not be dissapointed by every [edited] up we have here in EU. Don't expect anything at all. In the end is what we get anyways, nothing, or something so bad that's close to it. Keeping that in mind kinda keeps me more calm with the usual crap we always have here in EU.

    That sudden realization when I remember being in battle with Krasny Krim or whatever they're called three times but just 1 with Perth... Anyway, yeah, that's the only ship that may be worth of that consumable because of how the smoke of that thing works. On any other ship it's just [edited]. You only lose the slot for other upgrade to get a not so useful extra time in deploying the smoke at the cost of it being shorter duration. It's just bad.

    As owner of one, if the big "nerf" is returning it to the +2/-1 MM he had, yes. FFS even if it was an actual nerf I would agree, you have to be one of the worst players in the server if you can't carry a team just by playing that. It's almost disgusting.

    It's ok, it's Russian, nothing wrong with such a murderboss in low tiers. It's not like he ever did well with +-2 MM and still was the best T4. If Ishizuchi had better range than concealment with CE would be a crime though. Like Isokaze with the gun reload she had pre-nerf. But Nikolai OP? Don't be silly.

    Pretty much this. Why should we bother? The only time giving feedback worked was to prevent the bow armor nerf to high tier BBs. Because surprise surprise, affected BBs. But even that had nothing to do with the PTS, the nerf was announced and the s**tstorm was unleashed just by that.

    Even if you're zoomed in and don't see the smoke border you can see the shells the moment they leave the gun, I just zoom in and wait for whatever ship there's in thesmoke to shoot again, when they do by the point the shell tracer start I know the exact position of the guns and get an idea of how the ship is positioned inside smoke (sometimes I wait for the next salvo to check if they move inside the smoke, which makes hitting it more difficult) but if they stay still knowing where the ship is exactly sitting since you can figure where the guns are it's pretty easy to figure where to aim to hit that ship. Then there's even the trick Flamu showed in one of his vids with the spotter plane to get some use of it if you're in a ship that has no fighter choice, but I do fine enough just by what I said earlier.

    Well, yeah, I have to admit that sometimes I hit a DD that was moving a bit because of a shell that was like "I know what I'm doing" that looked like a derped shell by dispersion.

    There's no need to hope, it's pretty damn easy to know where the ship is based on the shells coming out of the smoke specially since a lot of people still think that they're immune in smoke and just sit there completely still without even moving inside their smoke, the only "hope" it's not having a bad spread of dispersion, but that's more likely in BBs, cruisers still have a pretty easy time hitting things in smoke.
