    Best way is to not chat at all unless it's and obvious "hey, that flank is getting stomped, everyone available to do so should try to focus together to stop that" or something like that. Just once. If you're blessed with a responsive team things like that can be managed, if not... well, I guess that the usual last months. And no one gets offended by that either. That's all I do in chat, 90% of the time I don't even bother.

    Solving this it's just as easy as reverting what caused the problem. WG don't want +1/-1 MM, well, return T4 to +2/-2 MM again then. But good luck with convincing them that that was a good idea that prevented sealclubbing instead of increasing it.

    IMO if you think you could stand the slow and full of sniping type of play, sure, go ahead and enjoy your tier Xs. Other than that, no, you pretty much defined it pretty well. I got to Mogami for example and the tier VIII battles made me quit. A long time ago I free XPd to Yamato like an idiot and don't get me wrong, at first I washorrible, but after some time I returned to Yamato and the ship is awesome but I can't stand that type of battles. I'm pretty happy stopping at tier VII with some tier VIII premiums that can handle the type of MM they get, not much point in keep going for me.

    I know, I just mean that the fact that some players still do better with CVs doesn't mean that every average player will do good in them so they seem as OP as other people claim just by looking at those players. I for example don't like their type of play and don't really understand how to manage the planes to the point of not playing them because any team will actually be way better without a CV like I would be. And from what I see, leaving those awesome CV players everyone mentions aside, what I see while actually playing the game normally is that CVs seem to have the biggest difference in skill between their players and the vast majority of them being garbage pretty bad. That's what I meant in my comments and why even is from time to time you might get one of those best CV players against you it's not the end of the world or something to really worry about considering the whole picture.

    Well, yes, because a number of top players define the whole playerbase and that's what we all expect and happens with every single CV out there. This game is definitely going down because of CVs right now. Please nerf.

    Tachibana useless?

    Since the normalization changes for shells (not sure if its because of that but I started to notice that then) I played my Tachibana a few times and I noticed that now Tachibana can do 0 damage with HE against other DDs. I remember that in last patches Tachibana aparently had her AP bugged and was almost able to citadel any cruiser at almost any angle and it was so fun to play because of that, but now the HE does nothing. DDs can angle against the HE and took 0 damage if a fire doesn't start. I know that Tachibana has this punny pew pews of 76 mm so maybe it's logical that even DDs with their awesome armor can block those shells like I see a lot but then why does WG put a ship ingame that isn't capable of doing damage? Sure, Tachibana has torps to but if I wanted to use torps I'd be better with any other IJN DD. I liked Tachibana because she can be used as a gunboat and I personally like more IJN DDs than USN or RU ones and I like to shoot more than to spam torps so it was nice to have an IJN gunboat but now aparently the ability to do something with the guns has been denied for Tachibana. I mean... 25 shells to an Umikaze for a demolishing 1273 damage. That Umikaze tanked my shells like a Yamato and spoted me so I just got focused by cruisers, not big deal, I just started to dodge shells and continued to hammer that Umikaze but to no avail. GG WG. Edit: I should have posted this in the DD section. Sorry about that. Maybe BBV will come soon to move it there. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    My god, this thread again in first page after so much time. However, considering why I started this thread now that we have IFHE I wonder what that would do to Tachibana, I don't expect that much but who knows, maybe she can pen Umikazes and such with IFHE and I can do some sealclubbing. Anyone remembers the formula to calculate IFHE extra pen?

    Mogami's fine now, a realistic turret traverse was all it really needed, torps are a "problem" starting from Aoba. Even with Cleveland pre general rudder shift buff I enjoyed the Aoba more back then but it's the ship where using torps start to be a decision of angling against other cruisers and survive and play a bit more or use your torpedos and get nuked. Something like your idea would be nice because of that.

    I don't have high hopes about it but I agree it would be nice a change like that specially when IJN cruisers look so torp focused being the cruiser line with more cruisers with torps if I remember correctly. Maybe that idea would make able to launch torpedos forward just like you do now, with the torp angles you have now but represent the gyro compass making the torps turn forward first before going in a straight line afterwards just like they do normally. Could be another of those "national flavours" they like so much for IJN cruisers. However as I said earlier I don't have high hopes of this idea being implemented, but I like it.

    Colors show how's that result in that color compared to the average. Colors change from deep red (very bad), red, orange, yellow, green (average), deep green, blue, purple and deep purple (super unicum or unicorn depending on your preference). The Duca d'Aosta player has it's stats in red, keep in mind that the stats in the image are only for the specific ship, not the player overall and they are red because of being the first battle with the Duca d'Aosta so there's no previous data to compare with from that player with that ship.

    Back in the day when I started I hated CVs so much that I sit some weeks watching CV gameplay videos to see how they attack and what they do from their point of view and put the training room against two or three CVs just to practice dodging air drops until today that I barely care except for the mythical CV player in the "very good" bracket and noticed that it doesn't seem that CVs haven't that many good players overall. However I'd like to see this guy against a co-op CV bot. I'm just wondering the result.

    Me neither. Even if it's not that great in this game I was surprised Graf Spee was obtainable for free. Wouldn't be surprised if they really expected not to sell many of them outside pixel collectors. However, the Hood? Too famous. There's no way they'll pass that and make missions for it. Not even ones more insane than we usually have. Edit: I even thought the Hood was going to be bad because how huge it is and how bad it turns but apparently used properly is super tanky so there's not even some hope because the ship it's not going to be great how I still think was one of the reasons to have the chance to get Graf Spee.

    It was not a problem, it's just that the detection range when firing the 155 mm guns was bigger when using C hull than when using the A hull, but there's no such difference anymore after the stealth fire removal so it doesn't matter anymore.

    Yes, as said before, before this patch hull A gave less detection range when firing the guns, but since stealth firing is removed that bonus doesn't exist anymore so use hull C for the better rudder shift and HP and AA you can get on Mogami as on any other ship.

    Well, true. Not that people thinks of playing aggressively when there's CV but they don't usually do regardless. What I tend to see thought when there's two CVs when someone is about to get striked by a CV moves around the map to try to evade the attack. Which by intent or not of the one trying to evade the CV usually pushes him in range of an actual fight. That's why I said I wished there were 2 CVs in high tiers again, I agree that the first thing that happens is that everyone stays back even more but CVs are the ship that with their planes can at least get near some ships and make them move closer to the fight. At least that's what I tend to see as a non CV player (keep that in mind too). Edit: But I'm also the weird BB that's willing to push if someone supports me and will not only be a yolo rush. So maybe I'm just living in my beautiful world and I'm just seeing things.

    WG don't want to hear anything about it because of their precious queue times and whatever, but this game needs more caps depending of ship class, including changes to that we have already. Only 2 CV is fine, but the 1 CV cap on high tiers needs to be gone. Sure, we'll always get one good player of CV one in a thousand battles that make one whole team cry but 2 CVs in high tier battles were what make things actually move from spawn. BBs need to be capped to 3, max. 4 per battle, no matter the flood in BB population. No matter the longer queue times. Having longer queue times is no excuse when CV dealed with that for months. People who really want to play BB will wait, and not so long as CVs, don't worry about that WG. BBs will not go anywere. DDs. I don't know that much about them. I'm pretty bad with them. But 4 or more are annoying. Not because I don't know how to turn my ship or dodge torps but they seem to sometimes make battles slower in their own way. Specially when your team decides that the enemy DD is so scary to push, thing that aparently has a direct connection with the number of them left in the enemy team. When there's 4 o 5 of them no one moves forward. Yeah, BBs specially, but no one else does either. A cap of three would be nice IMO. And the rest should be cruisers. For the ones counting, yes, I'm saying that half or pretty near half of the teams should be cruisers. It always should have been like that. I'm no beta tester but I've seen videos about that. I started playing soon after the game wasn't beta anymore and I've seen and played lots of battles with teams like that back then and I still think that the game was far more enjoyable and balanced back then with tons of cruisers. It also encouraged a lot more to play cruisers since there weren't that many BB blowing you out of the map so you just joined them too. Like it happened to me and ended in this massive BB flood we have today. And there's my two cents about this.

    Meh, yes if we're talking about buying BBs only. Actually because I like them personally, but also it's the safest purchase seeing how things go. Even if BBs need some kind of nerf or population control I don't seen any nerf that hard or breaking for them as DDs with stealth fire removed or things like that. Things like that would seriously prevent me from buying DDs in particular though. No point in that anymore after that or whatever nerf for them they'll plan next.

    I used to use cosmetic mods. Like some skins, minimap mods before they were implemented and things like that, but some of them caused a bit of problem, so since the important ones like minimap ones are implemented now I stopped using mods completely too. But yeah, that's why I know there's going to be mods for that port pretty soon. Haven't checked if there's one already though.
