There were news of WG thinking in changing the smoke mechanics and apply a penalty to smoke duration if there were ships firing from inside or near it (specially battleships) and Kandly brought us an update on that that let us now the the implementation of that would be later since there was still work to do with said changes, some time has past now. Is there any news about that?

Well, it's nice to have a clear response about what those new torps do. But now that we have that I don't really see this being the "promised" counter to BBs (to decent ones that are the problem at least, besides the overpopulation in general). I still think that if as many people say IJN torps have their long lances represented properly we wouldn't have this much problem and a better solution than this one. (Just my idea, not that I completely disagree with the new torp mechanics). Edit: Now I wonder if Lo Yang is going to get those torps.- 330 replies

Well, I'm not even going to talk about me getting detonations. But I still have to have a first time in which I'm happy about detonating someone. There's nothing you do that affects a detonation, it's nothing you control, so even if I cause one I don't feel like it's a reward or anything. It's just... "luck"... I had the luck to f*** the game for someone else. Yay. I feel more accomplished now. Thanks WG. Here, take a yes to the detonation removal by me.

Meh, Yamato is not really "hard to play" (being a BB helps with that) but I'd agree that if we compare Yamato now and Yamato months ago that with the new additions Yamato has a harder time and between T10 BBs I'd say it's becoming the worse of them, she still keeps her lolpen capabilities but besides that with the buffs to Montana and the addition of GK for me it's the worst T10 BB right now.

I can still manage to do something with the ship, but for me is Cleveland. I just can't get used to the arcs, I change a lot between BBs and cruisers from different nations so every time I play Cleveland again I'm not used to aim with it again, but you can't just slightly adjust your aim like with any other ship I play. It's and awesome ship in everything else but I hate Cleveland because of that. Premium ship Atlanta, for the same reason and for more info just read Exocet6951's post, I 100% agree with it.

Well, three days ago I shot at and Amagi at 16 km. While the shots were still on the air the Amagi dissapeared from vision, a few seconds later I got 3 citadel ribbons and I destroyed the Amagi. Which surprised me since I was playing Bismarck. When I looked over the minimap to see the kill notification it turned out it was a Mogami that still wasn't spotted in that game. I guess it happens. -
IJN DDs would like to have a word with you complaining about just 3 or 4 nerfs of just one ship of the line.

Meh, for me it doesn't matter how rare a detonation is. If I cause one, well, nice, a ship less, makes it easier to win but I don't feel ok with it like if I just sunk the other ship normally and I'm sorry for the poor guy I just ruined the game by something out of my control. If I'm the one that randomly detonates it just kills the fun. I know detonations are very rare but IMO that's no excuse. No ones happy with detonations, the one that explodes gets frustraded. The one that causes one feels bad. What's the point of detonations? It brings nothing to the game, no one likes it, not even the "lucky" one that causes one, so it doesn't matter if detonations happen 1% or 2% to each one of us, they should be removed because it's something meaningless that brings absolutely nothing good for no one. -
... WHY? Why can't this happen more? I'd love to take out my cruisers in matches like this. And you even come here to slap your wonderful luck in my face? I hate you.

Yeah, I've read about it here, that's why I said that looks like AA builds are going to be good on them. The no was about "being able to completely ignore CVs", maybe you can punish their planes but that won't happen. Maybe how I wrote it looks a bit strange. (Sorry, not english) -

Well, maybe AA build will be decent but that's USN thing, and no. You can not to care about the enemy CV more that you can already. There's just no point in removing a class even more out of play, so not happening. Apparently from what I heard they put their head back in place and removed def AA and radar from RN BBs. Not sure why they though it was a good idea in the first place but at least it's wonderful that they seem to have listened to everyone this time. -

I noticed that today has returned the Killer Whale mission, which I think it was the first operation we had if I remember correctly and maybe the one I liked the most. So even if I completed the operation the week it came out I thought I'd jump in today regardless and have some fun. Which at least had, even if the game was a loss. Then I saw the score screen. It looked like this. I remember these missions being rewarded less than random battles, but better than Co-Op, detail I liked (I even started to call operations "the co-op that's worth to play at least"). It was one of the factors that made me consider that operations were one of the few real improvements this game had. However, maybe it's because I haven't played co-op in a long time but considering that's tier 6 the rewards even for a loss look... worse than co-op. Equal at best. What happened with the rewards of the first time? Was it too much? Too many people was "having fun" with the operations or what? Anyone else has played operations again and feels the same or it's just me? -

Yes, I had one too in the first battle I posted. Went to fight the DD with the Nassau yolo style, got focused and the fort with the island in the way from spawn killed it. -

Well, I think this kinda proves your point ColonelPete. Had a bunch of Clevelands this time, didn't get the 5 stars but managed quite well compared to before. Comparing both scores however it's quite different the rewards even if this time I did a lot less damage just because the team managed to win. -

Which actually happens more often than you may think. One of the things I loved to do before the buff to secondaries is trolling half enemy team doing that with my Tirpitz, I got to do it on a regular basis and it was damn fun (for me).

And while CVs have to wait 25 minutes for a battle BBs can't have a 3 or 4 BBs per match hard cap because that would make BBs wait too much to get in a battle. Because f*** you CVs. So you know the answer, go play BBs.

I think the problem here lies in how CE works, the buff for BBs is 14% and 12% for cruisers. They should change that. My suggestion would be that "at least" they swap that. Buff of 14 % for cruisers and 12% for BBs. Because with how it works now you have things like that, a Missouri that's more stealthy than a Hindenburg, which just feels wrong.
