    Hmm... So no real hope for less smoke at high tiers, but well, if DDs don't pay unnecesarily for this is fair enough. This brings me a question though, I assume the answer is "yes", but I'll ask it anyways, maybe I'll get a certain response hopefully. If you spot a ship in smoke does to the extended detection range do you still spot him for the rest of your team? (Or maybe "because it's smoke" the only that sees the ship in smoke is the one doing the actual spotting?).

    Well, think of it this way, a German BB still has to come at around 11 km from you with with a minimum 14 point captain (better with 18 point captain) and a specific module to be a real pain in the [edited]. Looks like Conqueror will be able to HE skill-spam you from 24 km without the inconvenience to have to stop borderhumping for the grand requirement of even 0 skill point captains. So, my bet? It's going to be worse.

    Not sure if it was a New Mexico, but I remember playing Myoko once and passing by a (at least I'm sure of this) USN BB and I laughed at how small that thing was. But not sure if that was weird, as far as I understand Japan at the time had a lot of problems to produce ships and had to make every one of them count so apparently for Japan to do a bit oversized ships was not rare. No idea about the French ones though.

    Strappster seriously, stop derailing this more. You love detonations, you'd love to explode every game, fair enough. You made your point clear. Now, more on topic, since in the next patch we're literally gonna explode by the divine wrath of our skilled RNG god instead of having detonations removed, which I get we will never get to see that I'd like to suggest something. Because really, I don't care how hard I explode or how impresive it is I don't and ever will play this game to explode. Which made me think something. WG wants their stupid detonations, fair enough since it's their game and can do whatever they want with it. However if someone just plays randoms you are forced to get f***ed up to get a 10 battles safety that that doesn't happen again. Per day. So my idea is, having once detonated twice in two battles in a row why couldn't I get 20 antidetonation flags? I'd love to see the limit of once per day to flag rewards for achievements, specially for the detonation flags. Also, put detonation flags as reward for weekly missions or missions in general, whatever it is. That way WG could keep his magical explosion mechanic but players who don't want that could stack comfortably antidetonation flags in case they want and people who like detonations could just ignore those flags and keep having them.

    We better get Damage control buffs or suddenly T10 will be even a more potato party than it is now, my god... Just what we needed. Don't give a reason to the average BB to learn how and why to change ammo, don't punish average BB for being an idiot using HE against an enemy BB broadside instead of AP. No no no... Let's buff HE on BBs. That might work. What's the next thing cruisers will get taken by the way? Reload? Finally Def. AA and radar regardless of the step back taken in that for RN BBs? There's not much left.

    Breaking news: Graf Zeppelin makes a BB cry during tests. Everything seems to indicate that Graf Zeppelin will get the crap nerfed out of it before release to make sure this catastrophic accident doesn't happen anymore. The poor victim declares to have been hacked through his otherwise indestructible defenses and asks for the maximum penalty, be released without planes. More news at 3 p.m.

    Well, last topic about removing detonations that got more votes in favor of removing detonations than in favor of keeping them just got closed for no reason, so... I don't see much point in keep asking to remove a game ruining mechanic. Move along, nothing to discuss here.

    Well, as a potato that dares to bring a BB in torpedo range I once derped two consecutive battles in my Scharnhorst and detonated both times because of torps and since then I use detonation flags on everything I dare to play. Including BBs.

    Yes, makes sense but still seems weird. I was using my 19 point captain with the full secondary build so for whatever reason he shot me the only thing he gained is one of my secondaries fun and engaging him, of course. All skill, no luck.

    Is this why I had today an Akatsuki shooting AP at my Scharnhorst? I'm still asking myself why did that Akatsuki do that instead of HE at least and it's the most reasonable answer I can find so far. Still ridiculous but I guess this is how it is.

    Why does the hull upgrade to more range? What's the second line of hulls? Why does those torpedos upgrade to a forth hull? And that looks like the German Graf Spee, but it's the USS Essex, that upgrades to the RN Fiji. I have a headache.

    Well, all I know is that Izumo is considered apparently by a lot of people a BB that could be better and that doesn't prevent it from being if I remember correctly the ship with most detection of the game (maybe GK has more? don't remember that now). So what's the point even if Conqueror has it's downsides (as every other ship) that makes it ok for that BB a concealment that defies all logic of "size of an object/distance at which can be seen"? Note that I'm not even complaining that Conqueror will be OP with that stealth level, we'll see about that, but come on, even someone as me that doesn't lose his head over that detection finds that detection absurd. Just what is the logic that a Hindenburg being a smaller ship has worse detection? It makes absolutely no sense. What kind of game immersion can you get as a cruiser getting spotted by something and not being able to spot a Conqueror spotting you until you get even closer? Come on...

    Well, yeah, I dislike slow shell speed, I have a really hard time adapting to ships like that myself but yesterday I got the new captain for my NC to get CE so it should be better at getting close to mitigate that. About 5 tiers to adapt to aim with USN BBs... maybe it's not the best way I could have say it. What I meant is that the first 5 BBs need pretty much the same lead to aim / aim the same way so to say, except NC (someone pointed out that maibe it's because the ships become faster and faster, but that's not it either, I played tier 8 battles a lot before and I know how to aim at fast BBs and cruisers). And about responses not being satisfactory it's not that, but when someone arguments that a ship is good just because he likes it and it's he's most played ship and it's so good and that it's me that should get better with the ship "if I can"... I could point out that he still hasn't played his NC as much as I my Scharnhorst in which I apparently do quite better than him in his NC, and I agree too that NC is way better than Scharnhorst, but being arrogant it's not the point, that's why my response was like that. I was just trying to be constructive, still a "rant" about how slow NC shells are, yes, but as constructive as a rant can be, that's all.

    So apparently I wasted 5 tiers adapting to how to aim with USN BBs for nothing. That's my conclusion about North Carolina, which I recently unlocked. I never though I'd say this but I miss the Colorado, it's better than this thing, at least you can hit something. What's wrong with NC shells? Yeah, I noticed the shells changed from slow to even more f***ing slower, like they literally pause two seconds in midair or something, it's awful. The funny thing I noticed too is that Iowa recovers Colorado's usual shell speed a.k.a something which you can actually aim and hope to hit something with it. I know that change would be for the "historical accuracy" applied at random in this game but since that is only applied at times it makes me wonder what make them think that such a change was good for someone grinding the line. I mean... one of the major factors about BB is that with your reload time you have to make your salvos count. Sure, sometimes you'll come across someone that knows what WASD does and dodge you but that's not the main problem. The shell speed is so bad you need an unusual absurd lead that completely throws off you aim for even any other BB if you play NC for a long time. And I have the problem of playing all three BB lines + cruisers from time to time, I can quickly readjust my aim for each BB line but NC is a huge pain in the [edited], honestly. So the idea is that I now have to grind through NC, get used to how this piece of [edited] aims just to get to Iowa which aims as usual again? Really? What's even the point of that change for game balance? I just don't understand it but I can't stand NC. I might as well free XP the ship when I get enough XP. I know I can expect nothing about this, but really, is it me the only one that thinks that even if it's historically inacurate NC should have in game the same shell speed as all other 406 mm USN guns just so it's a more confortable and uniform grind? What do you guys think?

    Well, considering we already know that the ribbons we see about pens, overpens, ricochets and such we see sometimes fail for some reason and they don't show what really happened... My guess is that somehow all those "unexplainable things" happen because the detailed report maybe does something dumb from time to time?

    So what good is Montana now?

    As a Yamato owner I have to agree that with the recents buffs Montana has improved quite a lot. Montana seems tankier than a Yamato in good hands, has definitely better AA, it's faster, has more guns that turn and can keep up with targets a lot better making Montana a better brawler if needed. The only thing it doesn't have is overmatching anything like Yamato, but it means nothing with all the other things it has over Yamato.
