This. Well, about radar maybe like Gojuadorai said we have different perceptions of it, but I hardly see it as a buff, it's mostly more radar range for things you don't care about when using radar and not the point of using it. I honestly couldn't care less if they remove radar completely but I know it's not happening. About smoke, removing smoke would be way too extreme but I kinda agree with you for the RN cruisers/Kutuzov part. There's nothing wrong in DDs having smoke but cruisers should never have had smoke in the first place. None of them. That was a huge mistake. But as with radar, I know that there's no way that WG will move a finger about it because there's no way that they'll realize that giving cruisers smoke was one of the worse decisions they made and that there was absolutely nothing that could go wrong with having tons of cruisers with smoke.- 59 replies

Kongo a bad BB? Kongo the worse T5 BB?? What? Kongo it's totally not the best T5 BB out there. If you hate Kongo at T5 don't even waste your time in playing other T5 BB, save yourself the time. -

Because I don't get why we need extra detection range on the radar mostly for CVs (which spotting them it's not the problem, you just have to find them and get there) or BBs that are spotted 99% of the time anyways. For me radar it's just to spot DDs in their smoke, force them out of there or sink them. I just don't get what's so useful of the "buff" to call it such. Except DDs the only reasonable use of radar is to do the same to RN cruisers, but who gets better detection range for cruisers than the russians? The RN cruisers, from which almost anyone would use radar anyways instead of being able to camp from some like all of them do "because that's risky" and "throwing away their only way to survive" like we can all read from the therads about the detection in smoke changes. So that leaves us with the USN cruisers, that guess what, finally get a better radar but what's the real change of that? For me it's just a lame attempt to show that they throw "a buff" for cruisers in there between all the other nerfes to wreck them to mke people think (and apparently managing to do it) that it's a good and relevant change. (Noticing the "new" topic title about fixing the smoke problem with radar). Mmm... Doesn't look like their idea. Looks like instead of that they are going to nerf radar detection for DDs which is why you need radar the most and even a bit for cruisers (RN cruisers) under the name of "radar spots BBs that were totally unspotted the whole battle from longer range so it's a radar buff!". Except if you play russianbias which of course keeps the current radar which has some actual use. But oh well...- 59 replies

Kinda harsh comment I guess comming from a BB player myself but for most of BB players it's impossible to go back to border humping. That would imply that they stopped doing that at some point first. -

Yes, that's one of the things I thought would be a solution when reading complains about people not liking this content. Because the problem is that, you get the content from missions that you might complete by just playing regularly and you get something you can't completely hide but once you get it it's locked to the account and can't be removed so to say. So I also though of this, if for the next collaborations if they can't figure out how to hide everything for people who don't want it if it can't be added something like: "Ok, new missions for more things. Cool, but I don't want this" and have an option that makes that your results in battle don't count towards that mission so you never complete it, you never get that reward you don't want and problem solved. -
Doesn't look that different from the usual battle when there's 3 RN cruisers in one team so why not?

In the past there we're missions which rewarded you those ships and commanders, the collaboration ended months ago so there no way of get any of the ships or commanders currently and there won't be more of them again (not ARP at least). As for how to avoid them, there's some options you can check in the ship carrousel in your port that should hide all that content from your port and while in battle if you want. Which should also hide all those commanders from view but it seems that there's a problem and they are still visible since lately they made them able to be put on regular IJN ships and to use regular IJN commanders on the ARP ships. -

They already said they can't let us dismiss them because of part of the terms they had with the colaboration they made with Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Same for the ships. The most you can hope for is that they manage to find a way to completely hide the commanders for you if you switch off the options of visibility for that content (which at least it should do for the ones that don't like that content at least, that's true). But yeah, please stop asking for the millionth time to let them to let you dismiss the commanders or sell the ships, they already said they wont. Edit: Or better said, can't. -

Not really. I mean... I'll still play the game, but last few months I realized that there's no point in going past tier 7 in this game, playstyle is [edited] at last tiers, so no grind. It absolutely discourages me to play anything past tier 7. Which it's also a mess with all the tier 7 premium stuff vs regular T7 ships, which may also lower that to tier 6. At least the battles are slightly better. As for buying premium time, ships or whatever? Hell no. You don't need it to play at those tiers and I don't care anymore in whatever new premium ships they bring, they can keep them. No more money on a broken game. I'll just play it regularly while I can still stand it. -

So we get a buff to radar to spot BBs and CVs, like if that's the point of radar, cruiser detection gets a bit nerfed, but oh well, but the point of radar, that's catching DDs in their smoke gets nerfed... I see... "Radar buff"... Oh and obviously "play russianbias" to play a real radar. Because that's what this basically does. If you want a radar to do your job of hunting DDs play russian ships. Interesting. -
But, you know, they need all that people with potato PCs running max graphics to be half a minute or more AFK because they have to load all that decoration stuff that means nothing to the game. And all these details are very important. Who can forget about putting a little house over that island over there just because the game balance is... well, whatever. All I'm saying is that that's no excuse to not put more tiny houses and such.

IFHE brutal nerf to 152/155mm cruisers

For me it looks like they make you choose now. Simple as that. You use IFHE for the extra pen and play around dealing more direct damage with shells sacrificing the extra fire damage or you ignore IFHE, deal with all the shells shattered on armored targets like BBs but retain your fire chance and play around farming fire damage. Currently IFHE gives a bonus without much of a trade for cruisers but the -2% firechance makes DDs think about using it. With this changes they mitigate that for DDs making IFHE more viable for them and make cruisers choose how do they want to deal damage, directly or through fires. It's just a skill that makes you choose how to play depending if you pick it or not. -

Well, losing fire chance is bad for Mogami but I don't think that 155 mm Mogami it's the most affected cruiser by that IFHE change. I mean... yes, you probably lose all the fires, but Mogami with a 15 gun broadside and IFHE if you're in a good position to not be outright nuked in response eats BBs alive by raw damage and will still do that.

Well, people say that detonations have a less than 1% chance to happen (doesn't feel like that, but ok, let's take it as a fact for the sake of the argument). As I see it my choice when choosing the module for that slot is. 1 - I have a module that at least does something. or 2 - I have a module that reduces 70% the chance of detonating. Which actually means... -70% within less than a 1% of that detonation to happen. That's not even a perceptible change, it's like it's doing nothing, you basically still have the same chance to detonate while not using the other module and not getting any other useful bonus. That module it's a lame bait in which apparently a lot of people fall. -
Haven't cheched in a long time, but I guess mine in term of win rate is Tirpitz. Love the ship and one of the most fun to play for me but for some reason it carries a lot of lost matches with her. Last time I checked the specific win rate with Tirpitz in particular was 40% or something like that.
