Yeah, I totally agree with you with that. In fact I never tried to defend OP on that or even talked of it. My point is that it's true that it begins to be a lot of radar ships in the game. And there's always going to be bad players, (just look at how the avarage player of the game looks like)and people that just hate radar "because they hate it, period". But it's also true that in the last months and new cruisers (And even DDs now) implemented to the game the number of ships with radar (or posible radar, like RN CLs and PA DDs that trade smoke for that) it's going up the roof, so everytime the chance of having a lot of radar cruisers increases because of the sheer amount of them in game and that having radar is always a bonus point to play a ship too, so they are popular just by having it. That's why my point is that we may be starting to have more radar ships than needed in the game and why there's a flood of them between the previous ones already and of course the new ones everyone's going to be grinding now if not finished already.

Sure, but as the hype for the new ships goes down and the amount of them goes down to normal if that's it the complains about radar should be less again, right? If you read what I said next to what you quoted me you'll see why I think it is, and that's that even the new USN CL spam is finally passing the leaves the game with even more radar ships in general. The game starts to have to many ships that have radar and that's what is aggravating the radar rpoblem beyond the point of just adapting to it. There just too many of them, and each new ship with radar just makes it worse at this point.

Difference being that at this rate the radar problem is more comparable to something like what steath firing was than just a basic problem of L2P. In fact both cases seem quite comparable to me. Steath fire wouldn't have been that huge problem by itself if it was just a few ships that could make a build to exploit it. Even incoming shells from DDs were easy to dodge because while the shoot you undetected all the time because of that shell travel time even in a BB you could dodge most of them just by pressing A and D while changing speed, which at the same time is what you need for dodging torps. Yeah, you always get the salty BB burned down, but the stealth fire, more that stealth firing per se, which you can still do, just behind an island now, wasn't stealth firing by itself, it was than everyone and they mother could do it, with impunity. Radar is the same, always has had it's haters, the difference now is that we're reaching that "everyone and his mother has radar". Haven't you wondered why despite that radar hasn't changed much since it was implements as time passes there's more and more whine about it? For me at least it's just because everytime there's more and more ships with it. As stealth fire, radar it's not a enjoyable mechanic for who's playing against it, the more ships capable of doing either of those, the more hate they recieve.

Yeah, but are those not players still? And even if it's true that radar can be worked around it requires having a bit of understanding of the mechanics around radar, which is more what the average player has. And even if the average player is bad, they are still a vast mayority of the playerbase who can still voice they don't like radar. Even if that means that they basically mean that they don't like to have to think a way around it as you say. But them being trash isn't either an argument to disregard the mayority of the playerbase.

True, but it doesn't take that much to know that a reload nerf will make any ship have you played it or not worse. And from what I've seen French cruisers doesn't look that OP to deserve a reload nerf. But well maybe they just don't "look" like it because I admit I was surprised too when it was pointed out they are leading in average damage at T8 and second at T9 and just because there's a thing named Kronshtadt at that tier 9 now. But anyways I don't think it's the end of the world anyways, let the less popular class of cruisers have something at least, some ship is going to be dealing more damage than the others anyways, let the less played have that. -

Or we could hope that they get the hint that new stupid gimmicks everytime isn't the way to get players play the new ships (not that they will do that..) and think something else intead of what the next gimmick to wreck the game it's going to be. -

True, but people keeps buying them T8 premiums, so while that keeps happening it's fine by them. And sure, you can play tier 10 for free if you're good enough, but that's asking a bit to much for a mayority of the playerbase and they know that and if that they force people to T10 more people than not will end up buying premium time or permanent camos for T10s regardless. I don't play WOT but as I've seen people say it's exactly like there even if it seems that here the economy is less punishing regardless. WG has designed such a huge difference between ships 2 tiers apart and the +2/-2 MM to manage to draw most people to T10 where most need "economy buffs" for which they get more money. And sadly there's all that there is to it for them, so if they keep it like that it's ideal for them while people stand it. -

The same as why T8 is such a bad tier to play. If you don't have the +2/-2 regardless of tier (except for the first ones, because that prevents sealclubbing so much ) there won't be that +2 tier ship that craps on you and you hate seeing so you won't feel forced to advance to tier 10 where they make some profit if you want to play there. -

That's why the new consumable should be adjusted for those ships to not increase the reload that much, just to a balanced extent without nerfing the ships. What's stupid is implementing a ship line in the game, that's not popular but it's fine and a year later want to make them more popular by adding them a consumable and nerf some ships that are perfectly fine as they are and mess with what's OK and needs no change because they'll be OP with the consumable instead of changing the consumable to fit properly the ship bacause they are too lazy to make the consumable like we have on hidros with diferent ranges and durations depending on tier or ship to balance the hydro for each of them. Because obviously it's more important a new stupid gimmick that a ship line that's been in game for a long time now and it's perfectly fine. -

Well, not a whole year but recently with the legendary upgrades, Go Navy event, next ranked and suck WG is really forcing T10 down our throats. Anyways, in general as you say it's pretty much intended, aparently WG sees T8 and T9 as nothing more than two tiers in the way to T10 and frustrating players to make them grind those two tiers and get to T10 where you have to pay for premium time or permanent camo to play regularly so they make some income, so they're not going to change that. -

I said that earlier but if the buff added by the consumable was too much they could have gone the logical other way around: adjust the new thing, the consumable and make it increase the reload less for those ships, not nerf the ship because of a yet another stupid gimmick. It's like they went: hm... the torpedo reload booster is hella OP with that reload time for torps when you use it. We should have nerf the torps to triple their reload time to compensate! -

Yeah, that's why they needed their reload nerfed and then "fixed" by a stupid gimmick that would totally make up for the loss, right? That sure will attract more players, right?! They could have... I don't know, just buffed the reload a bit. Probably for the seconds the consumable lasts they could have just put the consumable if they want leaving the reload as it is. Or something even more crazier! If the consumable would be too much with the current reload adjust the new consumable, not nerf the ship! Insane, huh?! Ah, but oh well. I don't even know why I'm still surprised... -

Well, if you ask Flamu, he has the idea that the MGRB is a gimmick added to the French to make them more attractive to players since they seem to be unpopular. You know, Worcester just being release and already catching up on Henry in games played and all that. Who would have thought that comming from WG they'd just nerf the reload to compensate make them worse just to slap a stupid gimmick on them? WG is genius! -

You had to admit their balls for trying. Doing such "offers" it's an art in itself and I'd take my hat if I had one for you WG. And there's not such a thing as anyone not desperate enough about some WAY OVERPRICED pixels, so I'm sure that even with that ridiculous price some of them will be seen. -
I actually agree, but I've seen topics like that enough times to know it's a waste of time pointing out things like this as this thread pretty much shows.

Thank WG for putting everyone to grind the legendary upgrades and the Eagles vs Sharks thing being most rewarding at T10 and making T10 the only relevant tier to play these days in general.
