When do we get the next break from submarines?

He means the new British battlecruiser gimmick. Their actual torpedo angles suck, just like in Mutsu's case, but British battlecruiser torpedos will turn right after launch to turn in the direction you aimed them before following a straight line to work around that. "These British battleships will benefit from the new Torpedo turning mechanic. This mechanic is based on a method used in real life to correct the course of a torpedo after launch. In the game, the mechanic serves to expand the aiming possibilities for ships with limited or fixed torpedo tube angles, as it allows for launching torpedoes in directions that the tubes themselves cannot physically turn towards. Immediately after launch, torpedoes will change course towards a selected direction and continue in a straight line." Source: https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/325

When do we get the next break from submarines?

@Seraphice Is there any more recent official statement about when this "morale improvement" will arrive or what does it even mean exactly? Or that could be asked for, please. Would be appreciated to have some sort of official statement about this again besides a "They're just there for an unspecified amount of time of live test in public server until we see fit, eventually. Who knows when". Some time limits to these tests in the live server would definitely be welcome. For example: bringing the submarines in for testing for 2 game updates in a row, if the goals are not met retire them again for 2 updates too as a break for players and for WG to change them internally and then try again 2 updates more to test and so on.

CV FAN ONLY ( Bring back Enterprise )

I mean, considering that is what's currently happening with submarines I was surprised we didn't have complaints about CVs not being the new cool kid in town earlier and asking wtf is this new class that's getting more spoiled than them now.
  6. Mainz. Don't remember when I got it exactly, but it's been long already.

WG please stop that kind of cheat

This is getting out of hand, now there's hackers even in his own team.

    Subs again, again (sorry)

He's a wonderful WG submarine tester providing data of the highest value of how tier 10 submarines are so carefully balanced that they are still vastly underwhelming, why you bully him? smh, people these days have no respect anymore...

How do they get those A letters next to them? That can't be normal. I agree, obvious hacks.

How do you use radio location

You mean that it points sectors or 22'5 degrees of angle towards your ship position instead of specific map sectors? Interesting. Thanks for the info.

Illogical reactions to subs: the collection

I'm not saying I don't agree with that action. I've seen myself forced to do the same for the very reasons you mention. I know it probably didn't come out as intended thinking about it considering the "illogical reactions" title of the post, but it is kinda insane when a single ship can make the best option of an entire flank just turn away and flee because you don't have any means to effectively spot or attack it and the option of rushing it to do so would only mean you get pinged and eat homing torps for even trying. Seems the kind of gameplay and interactions to strive for. /s Edit: I guess I was thinking that just abandoning completely a flank just because there's a specific something there would be illogic and ridiculous if it was any surface ship because there's always one way at least to deal with it if it wasn't because the case here is... Well, yeah, a perfectly balanced submarine.

Illogical reactions to subs: the collection

I've seen ships that when a submarine gets spotted they launch airstrikes if available for the ship and turn and abandon a flank and go full speed elsewhere to avoid the area of the submarine like the plague too.

When do we get the next break from submarines?

A suggestion to this point could be that instead of unlocking the trial submarines in the future by mere XP that even a player that starts literally today can get in 2-3 days, the requirement to unlock them is similar to what we have for the in game campaigns and some missions from time to time. I'd propose the requirement to be to get the same base XP you need right now for each tier of submarines, but limiting it only to random battles and with tech tree ships of at least the same tier or higher as the rental submarine you'd unlock.

When do we get the next break from submarines?

I don't think any player should get access to a sub of a tier that hasn't at the very least reached by itself with a regular tech tree ship. I don't think that's too much to ask to reduce a bit the number abysmal (pun actually not intended) submarine players you often find around.

When do we get the next break from submarines?

I'm hoping they are maybe waiting for summer holydays, even if that means we still have to endure through 1-2 more months of this, but at least let us enjoy holydays without submarines, and technically even the dev department would be on their own holyday, so the whole "they are gathering data" wouldn't make sense. Considering the experience so far it's likely to just wishful thinking from my end trying to not give up yet on a game I used to love, but we'll see.

When do we get the next break from submarines?

I'd like to ask them what kind of answer is that. But let's leave that aside for the sake of it. Morale of who? Ours? And if that's the case what if it doesn't? Because at least I can testify that mine is leaning towards the opposite. What are the plans in that case, WG?

How do you use radio location

Correct. It points the map coordinate in which the closest enemy ship is. Still that hardly makes it an issue.

How do you use radio location

In my opinion RL can be good on radar cruisers. Besides the immediate benefit of if you pay attention to it and maintain good positioning you can't be ambushed 1v1, and detect random flanking maneuvers etc. I find it can be really useful in maximazing radar efectiveness, at the very least on your part, because one of the reasonings of many radar cruisers is that their detectability range is below or very near radar range to the point where if you're behind cover from most of ghe enemy and something spots you it's almost guaranteed you'll catch the DD lighting you in your radar range. Without RL you might have been shooting or looking somewhere else, so while you catch the DD in radar range, you'd need to turn your guns to it, possibly giving the DD time to react to the radar and maybe even flee from range of it, leaving you with just a wasted radar use. But with RL you'd know something is closing on you, and from which direction and be waiting for it to spot you to make sure catch him on radar range and be ready to target it immediately with no time wasted because you got your guns ready in the direction already. Also depending of the situation of course if you can stay covered by terrain from the rest of the enemy team you can even just corner a pesky DD in a forced 1v1 by you instead of letting it have an intended flank on you or your team too. Sure, I also understand usual cruiser builds that go for full DPM, or stuff like more consumables like heals, hidros, radars and such, which can definitely be helpful in floating toolboxes like Worcesters and such, but there's a lot of cases where the value of the info of RL, specially in early game I think, where you get an idea of which caps the enemy DDs aim for at the very start and preventing them from flanking you by surprise is such and advantage you wouldn't have with anything else.

    Remove Submarines

They have as much of an idea of what to do with submarines as with CVs... Edit: I mean, I forgot if it was SkipperCH (I think it was) that mentioned that WG still doesn't even have any idea of what a submarine role is yet, so... That's a nice start.

    Remove Submarines

And the problem is that he is close to the average submarine player "testing" submarines for the entire community, so yeah... they'll never buff them enough. But after 2-3 more buffs any competent player is gonna decimate everything, which is already kinda happening.

    Remove Submarines

True, but requiring some degree of skill to play a ship isn't that bad, would even justify being a bit stronger than they are in some cases if the reward wasn't absolutely free and required you as a player to know how to play your ship for their strenghts. This "skill gating" so to say would even be appreciated in high tiers to prevent the abysmal scenario seen there with the everpresent steamrolls game in an out and such. Some people shouldn't have reached there. Hell, even myself could still improve quite a bit there.

    Remove Submarines

It's the usual balance by incompetence, which is... well, questionable to be mild.
