Well, I was usually using it to... you know... detect DDs... Not sure if thats the right decision or not.

First of all, I'm a bit worried about all the smoke spam. 2nd: I can't wait for them to smoke next to my Des Moines, especially with radar cooldown buffed up

Wanted to ask you exactly this, because trust me, t8+ can pen you just fine (didn't play that much against t6-7 since I mostly played Izumo lately). And tbh, I don't consider t3-4 real BBs anyway ^^ I'm curently at t5 and its meh for me, enjoyed Kongo much more tbh.

I didn't mean that as an insult, don't worry, but wrecking someone isn't really chipping away 5k damage every 30 sec when he has 100k hp. And is sailing broadside like the biggest bot. and thats 10km away from you. and you wanna cry because of that. and you switch to HE just because that 2 fires you set on him are doing more then your average AP salvo (RNG FTW).

You do understand the difference between scoring 40k salvo and 10k salvo when shooting someone, right?

So much l2p pros that are citadeling german BBs with every salvo rushed here, but none of them actually mentioned how to counter them, where to aim, etc. Just good old get gud

right click on the file and choose open with world of warships is the easiest way to open it. (if it works because its the old patch). THe way you dodge TB is that you turn towards (never away from them) them as soon as you see them, and continue following their movement with the bow on. (don't forget to use control + click on them to manually select planes and boost your AA). Simply, if you do that, you have few options that will greatly help you. 1) CV player will just drop them in front of you so you can past right trough them and easily dodge them 2) he will keep circling around you for a long time (will get to drop them eventually, thats true), but you will kill at least half of his squadron 3) after the drop is done, he dropped them close to you and as you turned into them they didn't manage to arm 4) or, after the drop is done, you are still going bow on to them and will eat only 1-2 of them instead of full 5-6 salvo, reducing the damage greatly. the most of people that are crying about CVs are just ignoring planes, sailing in a straight line and getting deleted with an easy full broadside torpedo drop.

That buffalo has everything covered except the thing I wanted to know the most. Reload time on that 12 203 mm guns.

I'm not master or anything, but if I'm not tunnel visioning and I notice planes on time, I will usually manage to dodge most of the torps, or make the CV player waste his time around my AA for long enough to knock out few planes out of the sky. That given that I'm not playing something that basicly doesn't have any AA, so CV can run circles around me for 5 mins before getting the drop. and here is the old replay (not sure will it work because its older version) of Amagi vs Shokaku bot in training room that could give you an insight of how to dodge TBs http://wowreplays.com/Replay/8139

Could you please provide us with some kind of replay or something to show our bad CV captains how to properly avoid them AA ships?

you have that mode in game allready. you just need to press W on your keyboard few times after the game starts and you get access to chaos mode.

Wait, hasn't the damage dealt by CVs always been a point for people to cry about how OP they are? And ship per se don't actually have good mobility, but planes do if you meant on that one. and if you are scoring too much damage from flooding/fires, you can always reduce few % of fire/flooding chance. its that easy.

I can, but I always like to share toughts with such an intelligent personality. and to answer your question (finally 1 valid thing you posted in this thread). Most of the CV players have agreed that lowering damage per torpedo / bomb is much better solution for nerfing CVs instead of constantly giving ships more and more and more and more AA thus making them invurneable to CV attacks even when sailing alone, let alone when you have 2 ships combined. and sorry, but that "place in a food chain" made mi chuckle a bit, please continue with that gems, maybe you can make me laugh my @ss off

I understand that, but once again, competent Yamato / Des Moines / destroyer / CV player would stop that push of yours. If not stop completely, then stalled it for 10 minutes while you are sitting with 3 battleships behind islands not being able to defend any caps. While I agree with your train of toughts, and I completely agree that BBs SHOULD push, and am mad as hell when I have cowards as BB players in my team, it simply doesn't mean that will work every time.

And from what I've seen @OP, new RN cruisers should have better AA then USN ones? AGAIN? I mean, really, another line of ships with AA better then USN ones? So USN cruisers lost their role completely allready, and will suffer even more...

Was he battered down with shells allready, so he lost most of his AA guns in a process, or was he fresh out of the port?My bet is on first one, cause 2nd one would eat your planes alive (especially if hes smart enough to manual select them)
