I would advise you to read this topic, and any other topic where someone mentioned anything about german BBs, or their armor, THEN you will MAYBE understand why am I talking about that numbers.And please, do continue to explain us what we can, or cannot do in Yamato, or any t8+ BB, your experience in handling high tier German BBs (or any BBs for that matter) will be enlightening.

Srsly? In that video he gets reliable 10k salvos against angled German BB or 30k salvos on broadsided one? I must have missed that. Only thing I've seen there that in same situation he did 2x more damage to Amagi then to Bismarck. But I'm not 5 year old, so what should I know. edit: So, in that video, he 1) shoots at broadside Amagi, does 40k damage 2) shoots at broadside Bismarck, does 20k damage 3) shoots at SLIGHTLY angled Bismarck (almost full broadisde), does 6k damage (6 shells landed) 4) shoots at broadside Bismarck does 15k damage (8 shells landed, 5 overpens) 5) shoots at broadside bismarck does 7k damage (5 shells landed) 6) shoots at broadside Bismarck, does 5k damage So once again, where in that video can I see that magical 10k volleys against angled Bismarck and 30k damage volleys against broadsided one?

In all seriousness, if someone has some replays or something, where he reliably wrecks German BBs, please feel free to share them. I'm always ready to learn something new, so yea, I'm more then willing to watch them to see where exactly should I aim to get those magical numbers.

Hey hey there. Thats a completely wrong aproach you got there. You just need to learn to aim better and all of a sudden, every salvo magically deals 10-20 k damage, even to angled german BBs. (IJN and USN BBs bounce shells even when broadside ofc, if you know how to broadside properly) Thats why you always see German BBs going down first in every game, eating TONS of damage even from secondaries (I've even heard that New Orleans secondaries are dealing 10k damage per salvo to angled Bismarcks). But seriously, I don't know what drugs some of the people are using, but I sure as hell don't want any of that... edit: and oh yea, forgot to mention that. l2aim scrub

Thats a really nice game and result you got there. And yes (ignore ColonelPete, you can't expect a proper answer from him), Sharn and Gnei have brutal AA tier by tier. If there are 2 Sharns together, don't even try to get close to them, thats a no flight zone...

So, I'm wondering, is it really crucial to get CE on your Benson captain? How much does it even drop your concealment? Since with camo + upgrades its on 6.4km. And skipping CE can give you DE + survivability expert (aka better fire chance to burn down things, and +3.2k hp for brawling). In addition to that, you could go for extra Torpedo armament or whatever you want to get. So I'm really considering different options here...

Yea, actually with speed some of the BBs have (30kn+ is just insane) they can allready keep up with most cruisers...And if someone is willing to go full concealment build on some BBs, it can go down really freakishly low... Actually, so low that many people often underestimate the power of getting surprised by 10 BB guns firing at your broadside from lets say 12-13km because he was unspotted... Even in BB vs BB fights it can give you a huge advantage of shooting, then just going back into concealment before the guy even gets his guns locked onto you, then shooting again etc...

Considering CVs, even their XP gain is broken as hell ATM... Few days ago, 4 kills, High Caliber and Confederate, I'm 2nd on the score tab because some guy with 1 kill in DD is first...

You have it in announcments section IIRC, but it doesn't say that much about it (again IIRC), just that damage isn't the only way of calculating things now.

While everyone is talking about spotting / tanking damage, noone still gave us a real indication how is it taken into account when calculating credit gain...

In my experience I will do much more reliable damage to Amagi, then to NCal / Bismarck / Tirpitz when they are bow on / angled. So your whole selling point is your experience that just got denied by my experience. now we only need 10k more people to say their experience so we can form an opinion. Any other sources except your experience?

I mean, in what case will Amagi just bounce shells and Bismarck will eat 10-20k salvos in same situation? Funny how everyone is still (well, I guess everyone PLAYING Bismarck) saying that battleship that has all things covered (currently I would say the best all around ship in all tiers) is perfectly fine, and not even borderline OP.
