Does Carrier class need a buff to it's economy? Poll.
cro_pwr replied to viceadmiral123's topic in General Discussion
Its not only cred that needs buffing, its XP gain as well. Idk what the hell WG did to CVs, but (as noted in HAKU game above), you basicly cannot be top scorer on your team. 2.1k base xp for 5 kills 265k damage etc? In any other ship that would be easy 3k base xp, but not in CV. I've had t4 CV games (grinding IJN cvs now) where I did something like 150k damage on t4, where I got 4-6 kills in a game etc, only to find out that some guy is above me in xp earned? What did he do then in that game if I killed 6 of them and came 2nd? He killed 8 of them? Its just nonsense... -
Not OP, I'd even say shes borderline UP. I mean, its t7, and it doesn't even have torpedoes or def AA... Sucks. IMHO give her at least 8km torps and def AA, and then MAYBE it will be usable / on par with other t7 cruisers.

Take any low caliber ship and start pounding on battleships. 63 hits for 13k damage seems just fine when shooting Tirpitz.
-
And everyone has AFT on t2...

- So mate you were in a navy? - Yea, I served on DD34 - What were you, a gunner? Communication? - I was polishing torpedos. That would make a great story

Replay or it didn't happen.

The dire state of CVs - will something be done?
cro_pwr replied to Syrchalis's topic in General Discussion
I can't understand why people hate CVs so much. (OK, I can actually, because lot of people don't know how to deal with planes, and lot of people just refuse to play as team and provide AA cover, so sometimes you are just waiting to be sunk without any way to fight back). But games with CVs are USUALLY (if 1 CV is not completely braindead) a lot more intense and tactical, and open up a lot more possibilities and counter plays. Having a good CV in your team is huge bonus, since he can do a lot of things for team (scouting for one), having a good CV player against you makes it that your team has to take a different, more tactical aproach instead of solo yoloing around the map... All that said, CVs are completely broken at the moment. You are either king of the battlefield, or you can click back to port after 2 mins. Middle ground is too rare occurance... And one more thing. What the hell have WG done with CV exp gain? You cannot be #1 on your team even if you kill 10 ships and 60 planes. That DD with 1 cap and 1 kill will have more XP then you will... -
Mate, what was the last time you played low tier RU DDS?I think you are a bit nostalgic here. Low tier RU dds are garbage... Guns that are peashooters, torps with 4km range... Heck, even when you come to t5 and hope for some more gun power, you get a destroyer with a battleship turret turning speed. (Started RU DD line like 2 weeks ago)

Yea, that 200k damage in Minotaur really looks weak as hell.

t5 has 7 guns with 7.5 sec reload, t6 has 8 guns with 7.5 sec reload, t7 has 12 guns with 7.5 sec reload. Even if there were t5+6 thats 15 guns with 7 sec reload. Every of them shooting you for like 5k damage when not angled, and for as I said 1-3 k (did not say 1k), so even then yea, getting hit for 4k damage every 7 sec hurts. you know, thats ~160k damage in 5 minutes. Gneisenau doesn't have 160k hp, it has measly 51k when using A (as I'm doing currently). And I said you will melt when you aren't angled, so thats even more damage. Reading is a bliss mate ;)

well, there is a good thing. You only need what, 2800 xp for next ship? For me, real game starts at t5 anyway, so I'm playing those low tiers like "meh, lets get over with this". And to be honest, what are those 0 damage hits in RN cruisers? Where are you people aiming and how cannot you do any damage (especially in low tiers). I know their damage falls off rather fast when shooting angled BB, but thats a matter of higher tiers, and you will still deal good damage to anything not perfectly angled against you (if you aim correctly). And from what I've seen so far: Saw 3 Minotaurs IG so far, they were all top score on their teams. Fought 2 (IIRC) t5-6 RN cruisers in my Gneisenau, and that things hurt. Like, litterary. THEY HURT. If you aren't angled, you will melt (especially against 2 of them), if you are angled, well, they will deal 1-3k salvos to you anyway, and thats every few secs. Close the distance, they dissapeared in smoke ofc. So (once again, from my personal experience) they aren't useless as people make them to be. Quite opposite.

Wait wait wait, I just noticed, I have Black Swan in my port allready?? What the hell, I didn't buy that
-
In all honestly, that was what I was hoping for when I saw that they will CL line. A fast nimble ships that you can wiggle around like you could with Omaha, annoying BBs until they just say screw this and stop targeting you because you are dodging their shells left and right. To be honest, Omaha was the reason I fell in love with cruisers, because you could zig zag around and kite people all day long... But man, the dissapointment when I came to Pensa
-
eh, first "Try your luck" container opened: Super container with 100 dragon flags in it. Not a bad start I'd say
-
exactly my toughts. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!

Well, that depends on few factors, so its not give that its the best reward. If you are playing low tier ship, you don't need prem consumables, if you are playing especially low tier carrier you don't need prem DC. And IIRC that camo you can get from containers has a lot of nice bonuses, so its questionable weather you value 70k creds (<1 game worth of creds) over something like 100% xp bonus/50% captain xp bonus, 10% creds bonus camo (which, again, depending on the ship you play can translate into more then 20k creds per game)... Edit: just found the camo I was talking about, and its even 20% creds bonus which is on any high tier ship more then 22.5k #9 Try your luck - Supercontainer - 50 x Ocean Soul camo (+100% xp, +20% credits, -3% detectability, +4% dispersion)
-
Wait, elaborate this please.
-
probably mixing up a bit of everything... But knowing my luck, I'll probably get -200k creds containers in "Try your luck"

Don't want to be rude or anything, just out of curiosity, why would you prefer Coop, and even spend premium time in it? You can (in my opinion) have good time in random games as much as you can in coop and you will earn more, especially with premium time. And if you are sinking in $ for this game, buying something like Tirpitz to get even higher cred income will make your "grind" even easier in randoms.
