NC has OP AA for a long time, nothing new here... But game is balanced, and CVs are still OP Btw, enemy CV player was not really that smart I guess.
-
did few games here and there to get at least some amount of them, but don't find the halloween event all that amazing, so I'll probably get another 10-20 of them (2-3 games per day).

Cruisers are becoming more and more pointless

Because 2-3 cruisers focusing on 1 BB will melt him in no time? -
Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]

another 250 speed flags. Does anyone need them, currently have 753 of them, so I guess I have few spare -
I think this is exactly the topic this forum needed. Such new and inovative topic to discuss, I wonder how nobody else posted something simillar before.

choose your targets and learn the weaknesses of your enemies (where to shoot). Remember that 1 citadel is equal to 10 overpens in term of damage, so number of hits usually don't matter as much as number of good hits (citadels, regular pens in compare to overpens and bounces). Target broadside cruisers first, then broadside BBs, then everything else. When facing different BBs choose different spots to shoot at. At t8, NCal is probably the easiest to citadel/deal good damage when hitting below 2 front turrets, Amagi when shooting around mid section of the ship (citadel is below the water, so aim at waterline), Bismarck is hard to citadel, so aim at belt armor / deck. Its the same principal shooting all other BBs pretty much. USN BBs (lower tiers): hard to citadel, shoot at their middle armored section to get a lot of regular pens (sometimes citadel), IJN bbs, shoot at waterline below guns / smokestacks for easy citadels, german BBs shoot at belt armor/deck for lots of regular pens. And find your sweet spot aka distance where you can deal reliable damage while not getting focused by their whole team and wrecked in few mins.

yes, I'm aware of that, but I'm pretty certain Igor comes from his assistant and not the Devs late grandad
-
So you are saying that there is no Igor in Frankenstein but there is Igor in Frankenstein?
-
As said before Its Dr. Frankenstein (F. Einstein) who used electricity to bring his creature to life (Most commonly known as Frankenstein, but the creature actually had no name, it was a name of Dr.), and Igor was his helper / "right hand" (can't think of a better word, brain is on standby currently ^^)

When you see how the devs are playing, a lot of things suddenly makes a lot of sense.
-
You are either trolling or completely braindead. And sadly I think its the 2nd one. And since you obviously have some huge problems with BBs, go make "BBs are OP" thread.
-
just to make this clear for you. And if you think BBs are untouchable, or cannot be punished for their mistakes, go and eat a salvo of torps then come back and say you won't loose 50% of your HP or more to a single salvo. Go sail broadside to another BB then say you won't loose 50% of hp from one salvo. Few days ago I've scored 57k damage on a broadside Montana with my Yamato. Last time I've checked 57k was more then 50% of Montanas HP.

well, yesterday some guy parked his Belfast broadside 8 km away from my Chapayev. Popped the smoke, used his radar to pew pew me... Guess what happened... I've just wrote him "there are more then 1 cruiser with radar in the game"...

Sailing broadside = easy citadels = a lot of damage.

Regarding Kamikaze: Kamikaze and Minekaze are pretty much the same ship and are considered one of the strongest ships at t5 when played correctly. The problem with difference in their performance is that Kamikaze is not / was not in a shop (not sure about this one), aka not available for new players and is driven mostly (if not exclusively) by seasoned players that obviously learned how to use the ship. I myself (counting ranked games) probably have 400-500 games in IJN DDs, so going to t5 and doing well in IJN DD is not a problem. Although you have a fail games anyway, since its a squishy DD, so you can get deleted quickly I'm not even using 15+ pt cpt on it since I don't need it to be honest, and I don't even enjoy sealclubbing and torping poor little fellas in their t4 BBs that doesn't even know how torpedos work. But its a nice credit earner, so I jump in it from time to time when I need some quick cash to buy / upgrade new ship (as you can see, I have more then double amount of games in my Des moines then in my Kamikaze). And as I said multiple times allready: I'm annoyed by that ship for multiple reasons. First, no other ship, let alone t7 cruiser, have access to all the thing Belfast has. Combination of radar / hydro / smoke, with 8.7km concealment and good guns is simply too much (if used properly ofc). If not used properly, every ship is bad, that should be pretty much obvious. I don't know if you saw what kind of sh*tstorm implementing Flint brought (and for a good reason), and now WG decided to put even stronger ship in game, for reason only known to them (except the obvious $$). Another thing, that I'm once again implying is that WG have their policy (for obvious reasons) of not nerfing premium ships. So, putting OP premium ship in a shop means its there forever in the state it is. They have made that mistake few times allready, and after seeing it, pulled the ships out of the shop, now they are doing it again. Another reason is that I really don't want this game to become P2W. It will have multiple negative consequences for the game, and as I said in another topic, implementing this kind of ships is pretty much telling all the people that bought Atlanta / Indianapolis or whatever to go and **** themselves because here is a new shiny ship that can do anything your old one can, but better. And thats not a nice way of treating your customers ofc. So to say it once more, its another double edged sword, because, why would you go and buy a premium ship (that aren't cheap to be honest) if you know that 2 months later WG will put another, much better ship in a shop? edit: and I've forgot to mention this thing... what do you think, what will be a new players reaction when he comes into the game, starts playing x line of ships, just to get demolished by some premium thingy he never knew it is possible at that tier / ship class? And then after googling a bit to find out that its a limited edition of that class for only 99.9€. (I remember seeing first premium ship in a game, can't remember what BB it was, probably Tirpitz, when my reaction was "wth is that BB, hes almost as fast as my DD?", "Yeah, thats a premium BB")
-
If you are driving a cruiser 10km in front of BB guns, you are doing something wrong.
-
Fixed that for you.And no, I have 0 problems with people buying premium ships. On the other hand, I have always asked for nerfs / buffs on anything that in my book is UP/OP. Be it premium, or regular ship. I've said it for Bismarck, I've said it for USN cruisers (Some of them ofc), I've said it for CVs, I've said it for more then 1 ship. But everyone is always reading "Boo hoo, he wants x buffed nerfed because he doesn't own it, he got sunk by it / he wants to buff something because he wants to own with it" etc. So far I've been called CV apologist, BBaby, elitist, noob, what not, but now I have a premium complex as well Have to add that one into my Curriculum Vitae
-
yup, Fiji is standard ship that can always (if needed) be nerfed or buffed, which is not the case with Belfast. And even tho that fact was allready stated 5 times, you choose to ignore it.
-
You see, first of all, calling people "hysteria monkeys" just makes you look like a monkey, so don't do that if you ever wish to have a normal argument which you obviously don't. Second of all, nobody claimed that she is OP because youtuber, supertester, or my grandmother did good in her. All of the claims were comparing her to the rest of t7 cruisers (which you have a lot of experience in). But lets do it other way around (since all of the reasons why she IS OP were allready covered more then once), please do tell me why she IS NOT OP (but please don't say because some guy can't play her, since that doesn't mean a sh*t). And to answer your question: 1) 90% of cruisers rely on HE spam to deal damage (especially against BBs), while shooting AP only on somewhat close broadside targets. And Belfast DOES NOT have an weak AP. Actually, she has more then potent AP that will deal A LOT of damage to anything giving you broadside, even BBs, so try to change your ammo from time to time. 2) more or less all the cruisers till t7 are "Soft" and "Squishy" with only few notable tanky examples tier by tier. Belfast has even more HP then some other t7 cruisers, and her armor is on par with them, so that "very soft" isn't really that soft. 3) Current meta, past meta, future meta, or any meta IS NOT a thing to measure is something OP/balanced or whatever. Comparing it to their counterparts is. And compared to rest of t7 cruisers, Belfast has an large (if not huge) advantage in more then one field, making her clearly superior. But now, please do continue to say reasons why she isn't OP. PS. I've played (not skipped, played) more then 70 ships in this game, I think I can somewhat form an opinion about ships and their balance.

Jesus, so much bulls**t excuses people are making up just to deny the obvious... What the hell am I reading... I'm just waiting for the day when WG will Give Khabarovsk hydro + radar, nerf top speed by 2 knots and put it on t8. People will probably call it balanced because she doesn't have that good concealment for a DD, and she can be damaged by shooting at her. Oh, and new players can't play RU DDs properly, so she is balanced. And once again, to all of you people talking about "if you make mistake, you are dead." arguments, here is a tip: Go play any other t7 cruiser, and tell me will it hurt to get hit by a BB when you "make a mistake". (Or just sail Pensacola for 3 games, and count the citadels on you).

there
-
Meh, everybody knows t7 cruisers are averaging ~120k damage, so that 76k is nothing to write home about...
-
Well, she isn't really a fastest boat in the game, so speed boost would come in handy, I agree, but repair would make her OP, since no other cruiser (bar new RN line) has access to repair on tier 7... Oh wait...
-
Heh, tnx for advice, but I'm playing all ships in the game Currently have Yamato, Des Moines, Chapayev, elited Fubuki, elited Benson, elited Ranger etc ^^
