The main problem with Akizuki is that you cannot even scratch angled DDs. Yesterday I ran into TeaCupYuri in Akizuki, while I was in Yugumo. I literary had 5k hp when the duel started, and he was more or less ful hp. He needed like 3 mins to kill me, because I was just going Bow on to him, bouncing everything he shot at me. He managed to sink me in the end, but I did more damage to him with only my front gun (IIRC 18 shells hit) then he did to me with 120 shells (ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY) landed on me. 50 of them HE, 70 AP. To kill 5k hp DD. Now imagine if I was in RU or USN DD going bow on to him and laughing my @ss off while wrecking him and bouncing everything he throws at me.

Seriously EdiJo, as many people allready said, I cannot but to disagree with you completely. You said it yourself, you played 3.5k battles. So did I (maybe even a bit less). And I have 2 t10 ships, 1 t9, 6 t8, and god knows how many t7 and lower ships in my port, while being almost exclusively F2P player. You want to stay at t5? Sure, why not, your choice. You want to stay at t1? Sure, why not. But you cannot expect to get the same rewards as people that actually made their way to t10 (or 8 or whatever). The best part of this campaigns, is that they are doable with t8 ships. Ranked games were mostly played at t8, team battles were played at t8, bunch of missions required ships of t8... So if you, over the course of 3500 battles, did not decide to get yourself a t8 ship, well, your own choice, and your own miss. You knew you will miss on a lot of things, and if thats fine by you, then go ahead and continue your way. Nobody is stopping you. But whats the point of making a game with progress (like most of online games are), then giving everything at t1? EVERY game WILL make some kind of progress, and will award you for progressing, just for the sake of giving you something to make you going. Even devs said that they are keeping +2/-2 MM in the game, so you have a reason to progress trough the tiers and be the top tier, not the underdog. So all this crying about how someone will miss something if they don't get t8-10 ship... Well, I don't understand that honestly. Especially when those campaigns are permanent... -
For me, its the more of "load up the task, play the game normaly, and pray that noone spotted DD before you" type of mission. Doable, but not that much fun and engaging. So, just do something else, play the game normaly and pray to the god you finish it

And yet, they needed 3 (IIRC?) separate strikes from 5 different carriers combined to sink him. So I want realistic immunity to single CV striking my Yamato. (OK, not immunity, but he can only do minor damage to me in 1 battle). There is always 2 sides of coin, especially when we are talking about realism -

I don't know should it be reworked or not, but its annoying as hell. And its especially annoying when there is noone to detect planes for you, and all of a sudden you see full strike heading your way allready in dropping range. -
Well, I refuse to spend free XP on a t6 ship that will serve for anything then getting t7. (I don't like her, I won't keep her, God, I'll probably play her once every 3 days) So yea, spending free XP to not be trash anymore is a no from me. Anyone doesn't like that? Send a ticket to WG and ask for a non trash stock ship. And no, stock DDs are not utterly useless. At least not most of them. Hatsuharu on the other hand...

I cannot force myself to play Hatsu... ARE THEY INSANE? 6.8 detectability, 6km torps and 8.4km gun range stock? What the hell am I supposed to do with that without going in for suicide torps?

First 2 campaigns are permanent, so you have litterary all the time of this world to complete them. Tasks from all missions are repeatable, so if you don't have CV, you can do Cruiser task 5 times in a row (you will not be given reward, but you will get Pins needed to unlock final mission). That said, Some of them are hard, or once again RNG based (pray to all the Gods you know based to put it that way), such as earn fireproof reward, or dreadnought or whatever, but they are doable for sure. Choose the easier ones for you, complete them, then after you completed what you wanted, choose the other one, play the game like you play it normaly, and you will get there eventually. So, I'm really enjoying campaings atm, finally got another thing to keep me playing this game, and I'll try to complete as much as I can. My main dissapointment is that once you start grinding task, you have to complete it. If you want to change the task, you will reset your progress... (I don't like that one, because I love to switch between different ships, and different classes a lot, so I cannot choose tasks accordingly) -
btw, this is what I'm talking about with this "Get this AND this in one battle"... Or this one.

I've got 186k damage, 4 kills and 5 citadels in Yamato. But ofc, I'm on 3rd part of mission, so it doesn't count ^^

exactly this. You can have 200k damage game with 0 kills, or you can have 50k damage game with 5 kills. Also you can get 200k damage game with 0 citadels, or you can get 10 citadels but no kills...Thats annoying, not hard! That is a huge difference.

Yes, its (sadly) common on Yamato, and annoying as hell. You know when you get into brawling range and want that finishing salvo, and second later you see only 3 of your shells flying out, and enemy survives with 2k hp shooting you back? I do.

And that doesn't mean they should put "sink 7 ships in 1 game" mission, just because its doable.

But if my memory serves me correctly, weren't the first few CVs remodeled cruisers? edit: just checked it, Independence was Cleveland class, first 2 were from transport ship / collier. Although with their looks / stats, all of them are more resembling cruisers then BBs.

yes it is, and no it is not. But maybe I'm mistaken and everyone is citadeling Bayerns left and right in their Koenigsbergs, so it will actually be quite an easy mission.

Well, you can make them hard, but doable. Deal 500k damage is something you need to work for. Get 10k base xp is something you need to work for. Get 20 citadel hits is something you need to work for etc.Get 500k damage, 7 kills, 10 citadels and 5 torpedo hits in one battle is a joke.

Yes, I have Des Moines and raking up 125k damage in a game won't be a problem for me. Scoring 7 citadels is a bit iffy, but doable (again Des Moines ftw). But I consider myself a good player that has Des Moines. How about a random regular fellow that doesn't have Des Moines, and scoring 7 citadels + 3 kills, or doing 125k damage and 4 kills in a single game? Its like flipping a middle finger to the community and half of your player base.

I just cannot decide should I buy Kagero tomorrow (would bleed most of my creds) or not... I know I will get some creds back, but I'm not playing IJN DDs that much lately anyway.
