  2. There is a difference, CVs loose more HP per second while on fire, and I'm not sure if BBs have higher natural resistance to be set on fire (probably not, but not sure)

Ofc I didn't get 5th kill to finally complete that mission, although I've dropped both Tirpitz and Colorado down to some 10k hp, but had no luck with fires to burn them down (both of them used repair, but couldn't set more fires on them -.-') But well, being 2nd on base XP in the game even tho you lost the game gotta count for something, right?

    Well, did quite a bit of brawling against BBs myself, and I've probably brawled every t8-10 BB possible. But once I got the jump on Izumo (I know its strange when you say you jumped BB in a non torp CA) behind the island, he was perfectly broadside 3-4 km away from me, and salvo after salvo I scored 1-2 k damage on him. Got so damn pissed about the game... Its simply, you know, one of those moments when you have no idea what just happened, and why didn't you take him out. Then again, few days ago, I've demolished full hp Amagi in like 30 seconds... Something even Yamato would have problems to do... (dispersion ftw lol)

    Tier 8 vs Tier 10 in random battles

    They changed the MM few patches ago so t3-4 can only get +1-1 MM That resulted in bunch of t5-6 CONSTANTLY getting with t7, and ofc, if t7s are against t5-6, then t8 can only be in t8-10. Couple that with "not that many" people playing t10 at the same time as lets say t5-6, so they need to fill the empty spaces, and you have a perfect sample where t8s can end up. So, to "protect" new players, aka t3-4 they screwed up whole "pyramid" and as much as you are "protected" at t4, you are screwed as soon as you jump into t5. But, devs have an idea that t5 ships are perfectly capable of doing good in t7 matches (they are not) etc etc.

    Tier 8 vs Tier 10 in random battles

    yup, t8 against t10 is quite a big jump. There are quite a few ships that can handle being lowest tier, but some are just not fun. Thats one of the main reasons I don't play my Amagi that much since they changed matchmaking. You end in t10 battles more often then not, and since I have Yamato as well, its simply a waste not to take Yamato in a battle... The best tier atm, is tier 7 and 10 ofc, while t5 gets screwed a lot, and t8 ain't in a such a nice spot either. And well, if you enjoy high tier games (a lot of people don't), endure it a bit, get yourself t9 ship and it will be a lot easier. Best advice I can give to you atm.
  8. You take 15 k damage even when angled against t8 BBs, and your guns are so weak they cannot hurt t8 BBs. OK, I guess Montanas and Kurfursts are weaker then your typical t8 BB.

  11. Concealment module and secondary module are not in the same slot, so you don't need to switch one for another. You have to choose between concealment and target acquisition, and most of people don't even go for concealment on NC/Amagi, although you can drop their concealment to a really low values, but they have the "I'm a battleship and thus detected the whole game" mindset... Only thing you need to choose when coming to concealment is weather you want concealment or manual secondaries on your 15 pt captain, which is a bit debatable, since her secondaries work pretty well without 15pt skill (I'm using them), and sometimes its even better not to have manual secondaries skill then to have it. So once again, if someone actually chooses to go concealment build, he will loose small margin on one thing to become a pretty damn stealthy battleship. (some 12-13km if I'm not mistaken)

    Well, honestly if you want a premium German cruiser to use for missions and campaigns, then I think Prinz Eugen would be better, since a lot of missions / campaigns require t8 ships, and Eugene fills that role. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind Graf Spee in my port at all I actually like the idea behind the ship, and the unique aspect it has (historic and ingame), but as usual, when he makes videos about premiums he is quite blunt / honest about them. And if you have lets say 30€ (too lazy to check the prices in the shop), and you want a German premium for captain training and creds farming, then Shiny is simply a better investment for your money. Heck, Shiny is probably one of the best premiums there is in the game atm, so its quite hard to compete with her

    eh, too bad... Played quite some games in NO, tried to make her work, managed from time to time (actually scoring devastating strike against enemy cruiser, brawling with 1v2 t9 cruisers and ripping them appart etc) but thats all as said, from time to time... After a long time jumped into a game, got thrown into t10 game and never felt more useless in any ship I've played. Sold her not long after. Its just too annoying to stay undetected, hiding around for 15 mins, just so you can shine for 2 mins and then its over. No matter what people say, you just feel like you aren't contributing to your team enough, and thats why I don't like to play her... Des Moines is completely different thing OTOH. Hard to play, you still have to be very careful about your positioning and everything, but after you learn how to play her, you can carry games quite comfortably. Yes, its still a lot of "work", but work that pays off with huge damage at the right times, great AA to support the team, and nice radar to secure early caps / demolish enemy DDs. The only thing I'd like to see on DM is a better shell arcs so I can actually hit DDs past 10km lol.

    erm, Amagi with 50% torpedo belt reduction would just say "Oh look, a Minekaze torp, how cute" (as you remember 2 full torp salvos from Hipster didn't kill him)

    God damn it, I thought I had the screenshot of yesterdays game... 5 BBs, 4 DDs 3 CAs per team. And here comes the BB rant: OMFG SO MUCH DDS! JESUS WG JUST MAKE IT 12v12 DD ALLREADY! OMFG SUCH BS; WORLD OF DDS! So I've just wrote "yea, 5 BBs and 4 DDs. Sure as hell there is too much DDs in the game" (was playing cruiser)
  17. Once again Bismarck and bad concealment. Who told you that one? Bismarck has better concealment then freaking Amagi, stop imagining things... @Draconbilis yes, you are wrecking dem Tirpitzes so much, and citadeling them all day long that you managed to get 19 k damage in 10 minutes. Such a huge achievement.
  18. I seriously don't know why the heck am I even trying anymore, but lets try once more, since you are obviously failing to grasp the concept of game balancing. You are balancing the game by nerfing or buffing things in the game. How in the name of God cannot you understand that. And if something overperforms, it needs nerf. I'm not asking for Bismarck to loose 2 of her turrets, but even removing the hydro would make her a lot more balanced ship by having IJN being good at long range, USN at mid range, Germans at low range (turtleback + secondaries).

    They are one trick pony. They are good at brawling other cruisers and thats that. Even with radar, New Orleans / Balti don't fare that well when hunting DDs because of slow reload / bad shell arcs. Long range fights, every other cruiser will win 1v1 vs you. Heck, at longer ranges, even battleships can dodge your shells because they are so slow... Couple that with: Pensacolas retarded detection and being able to eat citadel as soon as BB turns his guns to her New Orleans wrongly made armor (IIRC its fixed now) but was being able to get citadeled from bow on too easily, and citadeled from any other angle and few more things, and you will see while the general idea is that rest of cruisers are better. (And just to clarify, Des Moines is my most played ship, and I still cannot recommend people to grind USN cruiser line. At least not as their first line)

Yup, and thats usually what you see in 2 Bismarck division (if they aren't braindead ofc) Combine that with 2 of them blazin with secondaries at everyone that comes closer then 11 km, and you have such a nice pushing tool to secure any cap you want. And even when the s**t hits the fan, and all other BBs have to decide to stay there bow on and die a slow and painful death, or to try their luck and show broadside and risk a devastating strike, Bismarck will get punished with 20k damage and happily sail away healing most of that back.
