    carriers players rigging battles.

high tier carriers have Defensive AA button that will simply eat your planes as soon as you try to strike him (added because of CV sniping in every high tier match). But you said CVs didn't want to go against each other, yet enemy CV had 35 planes shot down... What seems to be the case is that your CV was a bob...

    Which BB Line you prefer?

Picked IJN because I love lots of IJN BBS. But if the poll was "which one would you pick to win the game", I'd have to go with Germans...

    carriers players rigging battles.

And why were you chasing t9/10 IJN carrier around the map in a DD at the first place? (serious question)
  4. And much more (like 99% more) citadel hits. And since 1 citadel = 10 overpens, I'd rather take that. edit: what people tend to forget is that you will get the most reliable damage on German BBs, when shooting them with German BBs... Since they have lower fuse time on AP shells, most of your shells will deal regular pen when hitting their superstructure, while lets say IJN BB will still get a lot of overpens on German BB...
  5. German BBs eat THE SAME amount of damage on their superstructure from SAME shells as other BBs do. On top of that, they have Hydro, that completely negates any torpedo belt weakness. Bismarck has the same detectability as Amagi, F.Der Grose has better concealment then Izumo, Grose Kurfurst has HUGE 200 meters less detectability then Yamato. But its easier to just write nonsense then to check facts... And yes, I played German BBs, and as it might sound shocking, I'm playing against them every battle (I wonder why).

    Got sunk again.

its always "fun and engaging" to hit the exact 5 knots window to make 2 clouds. Go sligtly too fast, you will glide out, slightly too slow, you will make only 1 and stay still detected to their whole team. Its especially "fun" when half of their team is focusing on you, so you are dodging shells left and right, and at the same time you should check your speed the whole time to know when to press it. That makes it a lot more fun, then lets say, a proper coding that wouldn't make that happen. /sarcasm

Guide: How to wreck a game in less than 1 month

Eh, I think you are mistaken (my personal experience). Just play the game, when its Bastion, write in the chat "does anyone even like this mode" and watch the reactions... And that was before "new and improved" forts. Now, they are just brutalising everyone, and as soon as someone gets 2nd cap you can write GG and leave to port. Yesterday I was closing in to the cap in Yamato (to try and support my teammates), then fort shot me for 8k damage. From 15km away. 8 000 DAMAGE FROM 15KM AWAY, while in Yamato, by a freaking fort. Ofc, the only thing I could have done is, turn your ship away and try not to die to fort in first 3 mins of the game (ate citadel because of that, but hey, that citadel did only 14k damage to me, thats literary less then fort would do in next 30 sec to me).
  8. Sadly, you are not the only one.

did wiki mention anything about this game being realistic as much as Super Mario?

    How to assess one's performance

Depends on which ship you play, and which ships you target. If you are in a BB, you obviously want to deal a lot of damage, since that is your primary role (next to tanking). But even then, if you killed enemy DD and 2 cruisers, you can say you did good, even if your damage isn't 3 times your HP pool. If you are playing a DD, usually you will spot for your team, you will want to take caps and things like that, and usually you will have to fight other DDs, so your damage might not be so good, but sometimes you will score a nice torp hits on enemy BB, so your damage will all of a sudden be 5 times your HP, but you have effectively killed only 1 ship (that BB you torped). If you are a cruiser, once again, killing other cruisers and DDs is more valuable then setting BB on 2 fires and achieving your HP pool of damage, so killing 2 DDs will not give you a large amount of damage done, but you will help your team immensely... It all boils down to being helpful at the right place at the right time, aka, fighting for caps, supporting your teammates (DDs fighting for caps), and tanking for your team as a BB.
  11. The good old "oh sh*t, torps, I have to turn AWAY from them?"
  12. And you are getting torped 3 times in a duration of game... If you are getting torped 24/7, you did something terribly wrong... And even without the vigilance, with your rudder shift time, and turning circle, its quite easy to dodge most of the torps while sailing Bismarck, even when your Hydro is off and you don't have Vigilance... (just my personal experience with Bis so far)
  13. Why do you need Vigilance on a ship with German Hydro?
  14. Do they know how to use WASD hacks and manually select planes? I mean, I'm not playing against t9/10 carriers every time I go into battle with Bismarck ofc, but I cant remember shooting down only 1 plane in her, no matter what CV I was against (maybe I don't remember good enough, or RNJesus blessed me )
  15. You know whats funny? That you actually seem to believe this BS you are writing. Also, about your anecdotal evidence. Learn to use A / D and focus planes. There you go, you just survived Taihos strike with minimal damage. (maybe 1-2 torp hits, and some fires that can easily be healed.) @El2aZeR: You don't take Bismarck out of equation. Bismarck WILL shoot down quite a lot t9 planes when they are 1km away from him, and especially when 3 BBs AA auras overlap. Few days ago I had a tough luck in bringing Bismarck into almost full t10 battle with Papedeupi in his Hakuryu. He did ofc manage to sink me, since I got myself into bad position while fighting for the cap, but I managed to shoot down 5-6 of his planes anyway (and thats t10 planes). So, in a "not so terrible" position, and against t9 planes, Bismarck will take out quite a nice amount of planes before getting to the bottom of the ocean.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Well, can't you see there is no mess around all of a sudden
  17. Well, t9-10 CVs will (eventually) kill any solo ship wondering around the map if they know what they are doing, but will have to spend 15 minutes and a lot of planes doing so... Its quite hard to completely negate (aka kill all the planes) from lets say 3 TB squads... some will get trough, you will get torped... But on the other hand, no BB alone should be able to shoot down 5 squads in the first place

So, I have finally bought Yamato

Just one tiny advice. As much as people fear Yamato, and start running away as soon as they see you, that also gives another aspect to your gameplay. Because everyone sees you as the biggest threat on the battlefield (which you usually are), everyone and their mother will focus you. Carriers, cruisers, DDs... Only one who will not focus you are enemy BBs after your bow bounces all their shells... So use that wisely to tank for your team, just be sure that you don't overextend, because you don't see that volume of shells flying your way (and planes alltogether) even when playing DD and getting spotted 5 km away from their team
  19. The mid tier CVs (if you know what you are doing in your BB/CA) are nowadays in such a position that I usually don't mind being targeted by a CV. Yes, t9/10 still hurts a lot, and yes most of CVs can and will sink you eventually if they know what they are doing, but at the time they have sunk you, you have shot down so many planes that you get a really nice bonus to your xp/creds income... Usually the biggest problem is that you have to put yourself in somewhat bad position to dodge torpedo bombers, aka show broadside or something like that, but in the end, it pays off quite nicely. t10 on the other hand are a bit terrifying, especially if you are playing a t8 ship, and then you don't want to get focused by one... Everything else if the CV is same tier as you are, is a free income...
  20. Aka move away behind your fleet?Thats not what DDs are supposed to do.
  21. Why not? You MIGHT THINK there is someone there, since hes last known position is around there somewhere, but you haven't seen him for 5 mins. Now you know exactly where he is. Good player will read a lot from it, bad player wont. And on top of that, if they add it to the game, I think it will be a must have for every gunboat DD (namely USN / new German DDs) that are going into knife fights around the cap. You want to chase down that pesky enemy DD, but you don't know where to look? Now you do. He is sitting in a smoke, but you aren't exactly sure where to torp? Now you do... He is sending torps, but you don't know where to expect them from (aka turn your bow there to easily dodge them)? now you know... Its a skill that sh*ts on any kind of guerilla tactics, and trying to outplay / outsmart your opponent... What would be the reason not to grab it...
  22. 175 000 damage ain't that bad for a little tier 7 (balanced) DD And thanks to all the guys running in a straight line on enemy team
