The only reason I started USN CVs was to get 211 Lexi, and then they nerfed it when I was at Independence or something like that...BAD WG! BAD!

Biggest problem with Minoutaur is that he can boost his AA bubble above his detection range, so you lost your planes before you even noticed there is a Minoutaur sitting there. Ofc, he needs some other ship to scout that planes for him, but its pretty insane anyway.

[edited] You are talking about your anecdotal evidences about what you think was happening in between CVs while you were playing your own game, I'm talking about actual CV playing experience. But somehow, your opinion is valid, mine is not. And I'm talking about perfect scenarios? You SERIOUSLY THINK that facing an opposition that has 2 fighters while you have 0 [edited] Thats the worst possible scenario, and he will cut your damage output in half, if not more. And that still doesn't change the fact that 2 fighters CAN NOT cover whole map all the time. That fighters HAVE AMMO, and after they shoot down few planes, you have to call them back to your CV, leaving the map open. That fighters ARE DYING while shooting down TB/DB so you have to call them back to restock your flight groups. That figthers CANNOT come close to your allied ships, because they will drop like flies. That loosing 10 planes in high tiers means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING since you have 70-100 planes in your hangar. That shooting down planes means NOTHING if he still manages to pull trough 1 good strike and deal more damage in that strike than you will in whole game. That planes have quite low detection range and you can sneak them around the map undetected while he is scouting different part of map with his planes. And smart CV captain will use and abuse all of that to outplay his opponent. But I see you allready know all of that, since you are so experienced and anyone who ever actually played CVs knows nothing because you were in a game with CVs. And seriously, I don't know why the f am I even trying

yes, they are perfectly capable of invading fighters. And if opponent is playing AS loadout, then I'll play a bit more defensively, luring him into my ships AA bubble, or spreading my strike around the map. Since he has only 2 fighters, and I have 4 strike squads, he can't cover all of them. And if I see I need to strike somewhere, I'll gladly feed him one of my squads, let him take them out, while striking on the other side of the map with rest of my strike, and deleting ship in a process. Even if he is smart, and spreads his fighters around, usually (if he doesn't want to get his fighters shot down by my allies AA) he will have to keep them a bit away, and that will give me enough time to reposition my strike, strike someone, and then loose my planes on the way back. Yea, he shot down 10 planes, I killed 1 ship. You do the math. Especially on higher tiers where you have 80 planes in your stock. Last 2 games I played against AS Lexington (mind you, I still have t7 planes, in t8 + games), I ended both of them with 3 kills, then asked him does he feel useful. So please, get a bit of experience with CV gameplay, then try to argue with someone that actually plays them...

Try to play CVs, and you will sooner or later learn that you can fly around good AA bubbles, you don't have to fly trough them.

And you can exclude fun until you get to Des Moines -
sadly, AS loadouts are cancer and should be removed from game completely, instead of buffing them further. If you give 3 fighters to AS loadout, there is no reason / use to take anything else into the fight, because you will get crushed by AS, unable to deal 10k damage into the game. And that will translate into 2 CVs completely negating each other, both of them dealing 10k damage, both of them being useless for everything else then shooting each other planes, so they might as well be removed from the game. Just imagine if you had a ship that cannot shoot, but can jam someones guns. So you get into the game, you click on enemy BB, and he can't shoot untill one of you dies. What do you think, would people like to see that ship implemented into the game?

All have it hard, but nothing even comes close when you put t6 CV in t8 battle or something like that.Even DDs eat your planes, and most of BBs are a no fly zone, let alone cruisers... -
while you are using your 2 fighters to float above the caps, so your DD can cap, I'll gladly say thank you and kill your precious CV. Or, if you somehow manage to not get sniped, I'll gladly delete one of other ships on map, while you are using your fighters for scouting, and rely on your teammates not to be braindead and actually shoot the target your are scouting (happens 1 in 20 matches, sadly). As I said, it will happen if you are balanced Hiryu vs full strike Ranger, or Shokaku vs Lexington (said it in my first post), but going for AS build on USN CV is a bad decision. Today I've played against AS Lexington, while still having t7 planes (didn't upgrade them yet), and after I've sunk 3rd enemy ship, I've asked him does he feel useful as a AS loadout... He did end the game with 50 plane kills, I ended the game with 3 ships sank... You tell me what is more useful.

1 mil credits, 25 papa papa flags, etc isn't really "only some dragon flags", so its a bit frustrating to see that half of the missions are next to unobtainable by anything then pure luck. -

well, thats exactly what he was doing there. You clicked more then once every 5 seconds, and accidently sent your CV charging into enemy base. Fun times. And try to quickly adjust your course, switch to different planes etc (key is quickly), and you will soon find out that you have no idea what you have selected, or where the F*** its heading at that moment. Especially fun when you try to dodge strafe, or when you try to strafe someone.
