  1. Why would you even want 6x510 mm guns? That things would just overpenetrate everything not perfectly angled, and citadeled everything else pointing the bow to you... Even Yamato has some problems with tons of overpens, but at least, you get regular pens where other ships would bounce...
  2. On the contrary, after playing my first Des Moines game with the Priority Target, that thing is broken as hell. Knowing exactly how much people are aiming at you without even looking around is LOL of epic proportions. Instead of constantly being scared of someone one shotting me while I'm shooting something, now you can yolo as much as you want as long as counter shows 0-1, depending on your surroundings... Jesus what a dumbing down this skill is

    Just to add something on top of mtm said. Since most usable torpedoes have ranges from 8-10 km, it REALLY makes sense that you have to sit 20km away from first enemy, just not to eat torp. IT REALLY MAKES ALL THE F***ING SENSE IN THE WORLD. And by doing that, by F***ING REVERSING AT THE START OF THE GAME, and moving AWAY from the rest of the fleet, not only do you doom any attempt to win the caps, but you also make yourself THE BEST POSSIBLE TARGET for a DD. There is nothing better for me to strike when playing torpedo DDs, then lone BB sitting at the spawn thinking he is safe there, and not paying attention to anything, because he is 20km away from the closest enemy he sees. And the best thing is, I have concealment to sneak up to him, I know for sure there will be no DDs/CAS around that can spot me or my torps and save him, and I know for sure that he won't change his course for next 5 mins because he thinks hes invincible. Easiest devastating strikes of your lifes are exactly that type of BB players that think they are safest away from anyone. Again, that type of BB players are best target for CVs as well, because, they have no AA support, and mostly, they aren't even moving, or are moving very slowly, so by the time they spot your planes, you can drop them however you want. The hardest guys to torp, or to strike as a CV are those guys that push with the rest of their fleet, constantly surrounded by 2-3 friendly DDs/CAs, constantly paying attention to any sign of enemy DD/Torps, and consantly wiggling around to angle them selves, or dodge enemy shells. But, you can pretty much bark at the moon, since some guys will never learn, and they will play only for themselves, thinking that they are such a great players when they have full hp at the end of the match, and their team lost 1000 points to 100 because they got no caps...

    People are still complaining about torps? What f***ing year is it, 2015? One honest question to a good BB players around. What was the last time you got absolutely wrecked by torps in the game? I'm not talking about eating 1 torp, just shrugging it off like nothing happened. I'm talking about getting your a$$ handed over to you by enemy torps. And how often does it happens to you? How often torps deal 60+% of the damage you received in the game to you? If I could roll back my 50 BB games, I bet I got wrecked by torps in maybe 2-3 of them, and even then, it was either my fault, or the enemy DD got to position where he shouldn't be allowed to be, so props to him, and "well failed" to my team. But seriously, whats the % of damage you take from torps on average. I can bet its 10%
  6. now be free to check my stats, then try to call me that... I'm playing all classes, but I'm bored and annoyed to F***ing hell by hiding BBs that cause me to loose game over and over and over again, and thats not on t3 where people are still learning, its on effing t10.
  7. Just a heads up for everyone, before you start training your captains for the new patch. WG spoiled us once again, and gave us a discount on captain skill redistribution, by lowering it to 1 doubloon so you can play around a bit with new skills and reset your commanders. They even gave us new missions in which you can earn 100 doubloons so you have enough resources to play with respecs. BUT! THE COST OF RESPECING IS 1 DOUBLOON PER SKILL POINT! That means, to respec your 10 point captain, you need 10 doubloons, to respec your max level (19 pt) captain, YOU NEED 19 DOUBLOONS. So think carefully before you use your points on your new captains, because, if you have a lot of ships with a lot of high level captains (I have 40 ships in port currently), you will need A LOT of doubloons to respec them if you are not happy with your first choice. Enjoy your "testing" with new captain skills for only 50 €... cheers
  8. Its just my habit to overexaggerate whenever I want to make some statement that I strongly agree/disagree with And there is always someone that has to correct me, altho I made such a silly statement that everyone should notice I could not possibly mean its a correct number...
  9. There was a better teamplay before, because BBs knew that they are dead if there is no cruisers next to them, and enemy CV/DD decides that they want them dead. Cruisers didn't mind to be close to BBs, to get extra creds for plane kills / DD kills. Now with all the tools BBs have, they simply forget that they need cruisers for anything but to shoot at them and watch them as xp pinatas... When was the last time you heard BB asking for AA cover / DD screen in front of him / CA protecting him etc? Saddest part is, you can still find SOME KIND of teamplay on lower tiers, aka tier 5-6 where new people still try to win and play as a team to achieve that. High tiers on the other hand are so low that it hurts. Its a e-peen contest, but in this contest noone even wants to show their e-peen because they are scared they might loose it.
  10. I've said it allready in my older post. Why would I, in any F*** way or sense "support" the BB that is sniping from 25km away in my cruiser? Why would I deny myself any possible chance of getting XP/Creds in that game by sitting next to a hiding BB that doesn't want to get his paint scratched while I am 5 km away from my shooting range? And why the heck is that "big slow ship" still a thing, when you have BBs (most of higher tier BBS actually) that can keep up with cruisers perfectly fine... BUT, they don't want to. They want to hide behind the islands, and snipe from the spawn... Good BB will be on the front lines, just behind hes DDs, and next to his cruisers (if not even 3 km in front of them). Good DD will be in front of his fleet scouting for DDs/Torps, Good cruiser will sit behind that DD to support him with her guns / radar / AA cover, and NEXT to that GOOD BB, to fend off any DD/CV attack. Bad BB will snipe from spawn, denying next 2 classes to do their job.
  11. To know where are enemy DDs that are hunting you, so you can go the opposite way...Every Benson / Fletcher etc will have RPF to hunt down IJN DDs, so every IJN DD will need to have RPF to run away from them...

  13. They didn't go full greed mode, but they went "don't play for next 10 days" mode... I can't put the same captain spec on my Chapayev and Des Moines for instance. I want to know is DE even worth it now. I want to know am I better off with Inertia Fuse on Chappy or not, etc etc etc. To give someone 20€ just to try that out? Nah...

Yes it is, but since they were saying something about dropping it to 1 doubloon, giving us missions for earning few doubloons to test things out, I was (maybe I was the only one, but I highly doubt it) thinking that for next few days, we will have 1 doubloon PER CAPTAIN respec cost, so we can try out few different builds on our ships. As it stands now, I guess a lot of my ships will gather rust in my port before I watch like 10 videos where someone else was willing to spend nice chunk of money to test things out... Anyway, just wanted to give people heads up in case they shared my toughts about 1DB/captain, so they don't have to waste their money, or they captains

    Wrecking all cruisers of t5-7 with ease, and dishing serious pain to enemy BBs... While being quite tanky herself. Its not a ship that will fit for everyone taste, thats for sure, but i really enjoy playing her. My first EVER salvo with her was double citadel, 2 mins later I scored devastating strike And the fact that you can quite easily deal 5-7k damage to unangled BBs is just a freaking nice bonus... If she was ANY stronger, that ship would be blatantly OP for t6... And thats a fact...

    Last time I got HE spammed, I took 175 000 damage in Yamato before finally going down (combined with torps/AP whatever damage since I was brawling 2 Iowas at the same time). I guess you should boost that number to 350 000 effective HP, then they might not be so scared of that mean cruisers shooting HE at them

    Because its fun to sing "ITS RAINING SHELLS" while half of enemy team is focusing you, and you bounce everything back into the sea. And while they are so focused on you, they get ripped apart by your team.
  22. And there lies another problem. Its not your CVs job to protect you at all times, because he can't do that. Fighters die to, they have ammo and need to resuply it, you don't have enough fighters to stop entire strike squad. Your cruisers should protect you from planes, but how to protect you when you decide to sit 10 km behind them? Should a cruiser say F it all, I don't want any credits / XP, I'll sit 20 km away from closest enemy, and not fire a single shot whole game because I want to protect my sniping BB from CV strikes... Thats nonsense... Push together with cruisers, that can use you as a meat shield, and in the same time provide you with AA cover, and fend off any DD that even thinks of comming close to you.... And don't forget, CAs are a lot more reliable damage dealers then BBs are, and 2 of them focusing on an enemy BB will burn him down quite fast, while any BB will struggle a lot while dealing with bow on BB himself. But they are squishy, and they need someone to tank for them, so they can spew out that damage. DDs have to go in front to cap anyway, but by denying cruisers that meatshield, you have denied a support of your cruisers for your DDs. And there is no question in which DD will win the fight, the one with 2 cruisers supporting him, or the one without them... I know that people don't fulfill their roles, but now, we are talking about some strange scenario where people actually do their job, and play as a team, which is quite rare lately, and in my book, WG ruined quite a lot of teamplay themselves, by negating the need of classes helping each other, aka BBs relying on someones support to survive and deal with threats (most of BBs nowadays are just fine to survive on their own in MOST of situations, not all ofc, but most of them).

    and 12 (TWELVE!) torpedo tubes. I really want to know how will they balance it out... Giving them 4km range = 12 useless torps that noone wants on their shiny prem ship. Giving them usable range is LOL of epic proportions. Giving 7 130mm guns at t5 any normal reload (5-6 sec) is LOL Giving 7 130mm guns 10 sec reload, and noone wants them on their shiny prem ship...
