This game is not 1v1 and you know it. And as a NC you have more then enough tools to be useful when facing Yamato in enemy team. (No, you will not win in a 1v1 brawl, thats for sure) BUT, you have 13km concealment IIRC, so you can pop out of concealment to greet him with a friendly AP Freedom salvo when hes not properly angled to you. Or you can synergize with your cruisers by burning him to death with your HE. Or you can do this and that and bla bla bla. But what you should not be doing, is sitting bow on, not moving and thinking you are an unbeatable God allmighty because bow on tanking worked against Fuso, so thats only thing you have learned on "How to play NC 101". And that is exactly why I enjoy just charging down stationary bow on NC/Iowas and penning them trough the front, and watching them having no f***ing idea what to do
-
You lost, they won, and that doesn't make it t6 battle? Stronk logic.
-
Its never 0 chance no matter what you are sailing. But when you know only how to do one thing, and then you see that one thing isn't working all of a sudden, and you have no backup plan, then its not a games fault, its yours.
-
And imagine how satisfying it is to crush NC/Iowas dreams is while driving Yamato
-
So another nerf for playing properly and denying enemy the win? Good job WG, keep nerfing effin proper play, and buff border hugging a bit more, thats the spirit!

If played properly, you can farm High calibers all day long with her. But needs a bit adjustment when coming from the Fuso, since the guns act differently.

Yes, that is damage saturation, and yes, it is still present. But, damage saturation will make it so that you will eventually stop dealing damage to the depleted part (if you shoot bow only until it depletes), don't know if its possible that (while I was testing it in training room) whole mid section was all of a sudden depleted that much that I get half of value in 1 shell, then full value in next one. Just doesn't make too much sense. edit: and yes, if you hit the turret or module, you will recive PEN ribbon, but you will eaither deal 0 damage, or deal 0 damage and disable the turret (destroy him completely). Also if you hit the module, you will (sometimes) deal 0 damage, but you will destroy that module (you will see the little icon of destroyed module pop up). But if you hit the armor belt, and it shows pen for 0 damage, the f**k me if I know why the hell that shell did 0 damage.

Yamatos secondaries aren't that scary to be honest. They serve their purpose, aka fireworks that make any DD thinks twice about getting closers, but you cannot really expect them to deal significant damage.
-
Since they "balanced it", that achievement is as rare as solo warrior. Half of the CA/BBs in the game CAN NOT even send their whole plane loadout during one game, and most of them don't even bother with it, so even if you are actively hunting their planes, its next to impossible to get on higher tiers. You can ocasionally get it on t5-7, but even there its beyond rare.

Leander is the ship that can finally do some damage after that "Gem" that Emerald is... So yea, I agree that Leander in t6 can deal quite a nice amount of damage, and has usable torps that can surprise a lot of people wandering around your ship. Fiji is pretty much the same, but once you get to fight better armored targets, ships with radar and what not, yea, things can get a bit iffy. Especially if you are thrown into t9 where everyone and their mother camps, and all of them have 18km range and are scared to come any closer then max range. But at t7 its still a very nice ship able to dish out a lot of damage, that I have to agree with. Had quite a few 100k damage games in her, but, as whole RN cruiser line, she suffers the most of her being quite situational ship. Thats exactly why I said I'm missing HE on RN cruisers. Too many times I've managed to drop some BB low, just to see him turning around, sailing away from me, and I'm unable to finish him off. With HE, I would be able to do that. You can't chase him, you can't deal damage to him, he comes back into fight 3 mins after with half of HP healed back. And thats frustrating. And honestly, when in a BB, RN CLs were always more a nuisance to me, then a real threat. Yes, sometimes when he finds a good position to wreck me, and I cannot angle because I'll show broadside to another BB, he will deal a lot of damage. But most of the times, they are just annoying you with the clinging sound of their shells bouncing of your armor. Again, something that other cruisers can exploit and burn you to death. (And I've honestly asked Minotaur to stop shooting for a minute before my ears start bleeding Imagine listening to his guns for 3 mins when he shoots every god damn second )

click his name -> add to black list -> problem solved

No sh!t sherlock. Thanks for clearing that out... And here I was trying to citadel bow on Izumos from 15km away. And that "consistent and effective damage" is 1-2k, which you can easily do with HE (maybe even more) + 2 fires. So do the math which one will do more.

How can 4 pens and 2 overpens result on me miss aiming? If I miss aimed, I would hit his superstructure for only overpens, or I would hit the water, or I would hit turtle back so I would get overpens. This way it doesn't make any F sense. Whatever I have hit on a bull broadside it should have resulted in more damage. If it was any other nation, it would probably result in few citadels, this way it resulted in normal pens that did no damage (obviously only 1 did damage). Is that my fault or games fault? And why in the love of god you get 1 normal damage pen value (4.8k for yammy), and next shell hits for half of the pen value (shell penetrates, but deals only 2.4 k damage, and no, not 2 overpens, 1 pen, for half of the damage)

Too lazy to seach for it, but my record is 68 planes in random battle in a Des Moines. But usually (if enemy carrier has any brains) just driving Des Moines is good enough AA cover Nobody sane wants to come close to her, so you might as well demount all your AA guns, and you would still be giving AA cover to your fleet
-
He said he is getting that numbers from close range, not long... Thats why I asked how, to learn something new. And tell it to the game it "had to be" 20k...
-
has insanely bad AA for a cruiser (even lower then most of t5 BBs) Large in size, easy to hit with torps Turns like a brick, pretty much impossible to invade all the torps coming your way pretty low HP pool, you need 2-3 good torp hits to sink her her guns make her a formidable opponent you don't want to stay too long on the battlefield Combine all of that and you will get a nice target to delete in the first minute of the game.
-
True that, but still, I hardly belive anyone can come up with 10 sensible build for Myoko even with the new skill changes
-
I'm using IFHE on Chapayev, and I'm getting a lot less fires (although 3% might seem not that much), but I can finally deal some damage with my shells, and not only rely for a fire to pop up.
-
And WG doing things 2 months too late is something that still surprises you? Come on mate, you should know better by now
-
But its just insanely useful skill for the cruisers. How many times you were fighting someone, just to get hit by a BB across half of the map... NOT ANYMORE! as soon as you see another number pop up, bail out. When you are hiding behind the island and spamming, and suddenly something detects you. Before, it was oh sh*t I have to stop shooting and go into cover. Now, its "meh, I'm fine, there is 0 in the indicator" Although, its still F scary when you see 5 popping out all of a sudden And trust me, since you are cruiser, you see it too often
-
The thing I'm missing the most on RN cruisers is HE. Yes, their AP is good, yes you will deal a lot of damage to close / broadside target, but I don't like to depend on other people stupidity when trying to deal damage. And when your team is focusing down 1 BB, getting multiple fires on him can kill him rather fast, something that RN cruisers can't synergize with.
-
So much that you need 10 different versions of her in your port?
-
well, few tips I can give you is that Priority target skill is insanely useful on cruisers (did you try it out Negativvv ) and that Inertia Fuse is useful on cruisers with ~150mm caliber (will reduce your fire chance, but you will deal a lot more alpha damage per salvo).

Last time I've heard anyone explaining it, it was only vertical dispersion, not horizontal.
