    And how useful do you feel in that game? How much meaningful damage did you do trough the game with your consistent damage every salvo? How many out of 5 Yamatos did you take out with your HE from max distance? Yes, you can have good games, yes you can pump up damage numbers, yes you can finish the game with witherer, 150k damage and all of that, and then notice that all of that means that you managed to kill one Yamato that burned trough his heals... And you won't be doing 150k damage every game... (Don't get me wrong, ofc you can kill few DDs, ofc you can wreck few BBs etc, but how much did you contribute to overall victory while prancing around dodging BB shells and praying that RNG won't delete you in 1 salvo)

    Or maybe, just maybe, when every game has 5-6 BBs in there, noone is going to bother with playing cruiser to act like an XP pinata, so they choose a so called counter to them, aka DDs to actually try and do something meaningful in the game... What BB players CAN NOT or DON'T WANT TO understand is, that if there is a fewer BBs per team, they are safer from everything. I can then take my cruisers and actually go hunt that DDs that will try to hurt them, or I can give them AA cover against that big bad CVs without getting instantly deleted by the enemy BBs.

    And all that falls short when you enter a random game with 12 random players and 5 of them are in BBs. Yes, the endgame can look different, the whatnot can happen, 2 good DDs can win against 4 other ships (lets say 2BB/2Cas) since they can torp them and cap more easily etc. So all of that you wrote means nothing tbh since it only shows a TINY portion of a large picture, which is oversaturation of one class of ships which translates into inability to do anything meaningful in another class...

    I've stated it allready that I mean that 20km shots that can take away half of your HP even when you are angled, because they will punch trough your deck completely ignoring your angling. And I stated that if something like that was about to happen,, then you can nerf some things on cruisers if they become OP compared to BBs. Aka nerf their range to 17-18 km instead of 22 that you can have on Moskva nowadays, and you are fine. tl;dr: if you want to snipe from 20+km in you BB, then enjoy your 20k avg damage per game since you will get low / no damage per shell... While the ones actually pushing in their BBs will farm damage...

    So, they managed to screw up carriers even more with the new patch? GJ WG... Now sticky keys are even stickier, and I have to click 2 times every time I want to send a plane somewhere... I cannot use "Page up / Page down" to adjust my cam, and my scroll is F.ed up, so I have to spend half of the game trying to adjust my cam. Well done guys, you did it once again *slow clap*

    The best games for me are the ones with 3 BBs/3DDs/6 CAs. No matter what class you play in, you can wreck everything with a coordinated attack or by outplaying them... And for increased CA survivability, the thing I'd like to see the most (and I think it would be most balanced) is to decrease penetration values on long range shots (~20km+). No more retarded 20k salvos trough the deck while you are angled, no more retarded citadel hits trough your deck, etc. You can get few overpens on the superstructure hits and thats it... Then when that is settled, you can balance other numbers if needed (decrease cruiser range or whatever). But BBs will finally have to come closer, cruisers will finally be able to survive against the campers, and skilled gameplay will be rewarded more then camping on the spawn...

    Allready covered that in my previous post edit: damn it, you ninja'd me... Ofc that citadels were from my secondaries, since I only use HE on my Des Moines (jokes aside, 130k damage in that game was from AP, but hey, I guess that still counts as HE spamming )

    You see, when cruiser and battleships are sailing next to each other, and you are targeting the battleships (the one that you cant even damage when bow on, and that can heal anything you throw at him anyway) instead of squishy cruiser that you can oneshot, you are doing something wrong. And you are obviously doing a lot of things wrong. And have a pretty skewed perception of how the game works... PS. Considering cruisers manevareuability... Yup, when you are as big as a BB, and have a turning circle of 700 meters, that for sure is your selling point, and you can dodge everything BB throws at you from 15km away. PPS. Saying that you never saw 6 BBS in high tier games, and that you saw high tier games without a BB is either a pure BS, or you are not playing high tiers...

    In WOWS damage numbers can be highly skewed when comparing them to the "usefulness", aka contributing to victory... Caps are really important, scouting is really important, things like smoking your teammates / screening for torps can have high impact on the outcome of the game... And in the end, doing 40k damage to destroyers contributes a lot more then doing 100k damage with HE spam to a Yamato that will heal 70% of that back... So when checking WOWS stats, you need to look at them as a complete package to get the real story, instead of focusing on a single aspect such as WR or avg damage.

    Gather a bit more experience. And no, DD for a cruiser is not a good trade. I'll gladly loose a cruiser for a DD, since in late game DDs win games by capping / torping BBs that are left behind. Both things that cruisers cannot do as good as DD can...

    Mate don't go there please...If you think that same detection as radar range on a tier 7 is not a problem (and on a cruiser that eats DDs alive in 2 salvos) then its not strange that you can't see why Belfast is OP...

    Its not even the problem with adapting to the gameplay. Everyone with a working brain can see whats happening and adapt to a new enviroment. Its the gameplay itself that is a problem. Yes, I can adapt to this gameplay, yes I can take a cruiser and spam HE at BBs from 20km away... Heck, I can finish the game with 100k damage easily farmed by HE and fires on that BBs. But whats the point of it? Whats the point of the "point and click" gameplay where you are just sitting at the spawn, not able to get any closer, and clicking left mouse button on the closest target every 10-30 sec (depending on the ship ofc)... Its a dumbed down, dull and boring version of the game we had before. And mainly because of that reason (ITS F***ING BORING), I find myself pushing too far (If moving 2 km from your spawn can even be called pushing lol), being in a front row and focused by half of enemy team, dying too fast... Or, I just stop playing... Brawling is gone, most of the skilled gameplay is gon, bunch of things I've enjoyed is gone, and this game is going down the drain fast by becoming "shoot the idiot that pressed W on the start of the game" fest...

    12km torps on a t6 cruiser is a complete BS. (IIRC she is quite stealthy one as well) Rest doesn't seem broken...

    Please do explain me how to adapt, and how to play high tier cruisers nowadays when every time you are spotted you have 6 BBs pointing their guns in your direction. I'll gladly take your advice to see how well will I fare. Or how to play high tiers in general.

    Its been like that for few months allready, now its just even worse... BBs are simply given too much tools, and are the strongest class in the game atm... And thats the fact. But, there are still few things that can hurt them, so I guess that will be nerfed soon as well (looking at USN torps)... By that time, I'm simply gonna play Fletcher as a torp boat, since there are still enough of braindead people on high tier that will gladly eat my torps.
  22. I know I'm playing my USN DDs (Fletcher) a lot "safer" now. Aka, I'm not engaging BBs from outside of smoke as much as I did before... Any BB can easily delete you from 10km away, and you cannot even come inside of 11km away from German ones. So my gameplay did change, and you can especially feel it (As someone else mentioned allready) after you are retreating from a DD brawl. You break line of sight with that DD, and scratch your head about what the heck is still spotting you, just to see there is some BB sitting in your spotting range...

    t5 and t8 are the worst for me... I am/was currently grinding few low tier ships, and t5 in t7 (even t6) matchmaking is quite painful. Yes you can do good, yes you can have a profitable game, but its more of a hard work then fun. What am I supposed to do in a 13km range (got buffed a bit yesterday) Furutaka when I'm facing Nagato? Nagato <13km means you will loose half of your HP even if he misses you, just from the water splashing your ship... Some ships can be quite good (Minekaze can do good against t7 lets say, since she can still spot and torp), but most of them are painful. But I'm bothered the most by the t8 MM. Most of my ships are at t8, and for me, that tier is the most enjoyable and more or less most balanced in the current state of the game. Also, on that tier there are the most ships I really like in the game. I love Amagi, I love Benson, I didn't get to Shokaku yet, but I will eventually, and I think Shokaku is a great ship, Ncal is great ship, Kiev is a great ship, heck, even the new Ognevoi is a pain since she has nice torps... Chappy is there, Atago is there, Bismarck... A lot of great and iconic ships are there. BUT, in 9/10 games, you are thrown in a t10 game, and its just frustrating. Every time I bring out my Amagi, and I end up against t10, I'm just like "Why the heck, didn't I bring out my Yamato..." I'm not the guy that is crying about seeing higher tier ships, and I can usually give them a run for their money, but playing t8, and getting matched against t10s 10 time in a row simply becomes annoying too fast. Tl;dr: Although I'm enjoying t8s the most, I'm not playing them all that much because in 90% of games I'm up against t10s...
