He has to be reading it wrong, I'm not the greatest player by any means (I'm pretty bad at WoWS) but unless I'm buying new higher tier ships than I already have, just playing should keep the credit rolling in, I do think that the high premium ships are pretty expensive, but there is no need to buy them, and you can some them for free using Coal which is useful, and the game keeps on throwing premium time at me and other nice stuff!
