    it's rather simple, really; You compare the armour penetration capacity of your HE shells to the thickness of the armour plates you're firing at. If an HE shell has enough penetration capacity compared to the armour, it will deal damage, else it will shatter and deal no damage. Below are some examples, 1 for each ship class (Mogador, Azuma, Pommern). 1. You check the HE pen of your ship's main battery (you can do this both in port and in battle (*)) - usually, the bigger the gun, the higher the armour penetration capacity of the HE shells. (*) in battle you can check the HE pen of your guns by hovering over the HE shell icon e.g. Mogador - 23mm e.g. Azuma - 52mm e.g. Pommern - 95mm 2. You check the armour profile of the ship you were shooting at (you can do this in port) e.g. Mogador (DDs generally have a simple armour layout) Superstructure - 13mm Side plating (+ bow and stern as well) - 19mm Since the armour thickness on the Mogador (in the screenshots shown above) is 19mm or less, all three ships (Mogador, Azuma, Pommern) can penetrate it with their main battery's HE shells. e.g. Azuma (CAs and BBs generally have a (bit) more complex armour layout) Superstructure - 16mm Bow and stern plating - 25mm Side plating - 27mm Inspecting the different numbers, you can see that the Mogador can only penetrate the superstructure of the Azuma, not the bow, side, or stern. The Azuma and Pommern can still penetrate each of the above shown armour plates with their main battery HE shells. e.g. Pommern (CAs and BBs generally have a (bit) more complex armour layout) Superstructure - 19mm Bow and stern plating - 32mm Deck - 80mm Upper side plating - 145mm Lower side plating - 300mm As you can notice in the screenshots above, the Pommern is quite heavily armoured compared to the others, and will shatter most HE shells in the game on those heavily armoured parts. The Mogador can only penetrate the Pommern's superstructure with its HE shells; the Azuma can pen the superstructure and the bow and stern plating, but that's about it. Pommern vs Pommern, it can still penetrate the deck armour (95mm penetration vs 80mm deck), but the HE shells will shatter on the side platings.

    No, on the contrary, i feel like the bombs drop faster compared to last testing. (or i have just become better at leading / predicting targets by playing D7P a lot)

    Constructive feedback regarding Subs ? *checks date* April 1st was some days ago ... I like your post and your suggestions; good read - I agree with most of what you wrote. I do think the oil spots make it already easy enough to track a sub underwater.

    Hi, sorry for the late reply. I don't know if she gets improved AP angles; all i know is that in Randoms she was a pita to play while in Ops (Aegis) she was decent - though i still prefer other ships for T6 Ops.

    I think the AP is quite decent on the Canarias; feels like RN (short fuse) AP. Though i'll sail her only in Ops; tried out some Randoms but i prefer other ships.

  17. Imo you should never get credits with these ships. Let them be a credit sink and cost 1M credits to play a single battle.

    I agree you should try to have fun playing, also in CBs, but CBs is the only competitive mode we have and I expect my teammates to have a competitive mindset. I am very competitive, so maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want a player with me who plays CBs "just for fun". Then again, I may be a bit too competitive according to some others. If you do just "play for fun" that's fine with me - but I think you should go find a clan then who has the same mindset. And, to be clear, I don't think Ranked is competitive, imo it's just Randoms with less players and tighter MM, but without the ability to play in divs - one of the reasons I don't play those too often.

    But T6 can't meet T4 - so again you don't have "pure" +2/-2 MM for this tier :)
