  1. JB in ABs just over 2.5k bxp
  2. Have you tried playing more aggressive in Coop ? Unless there's a French DD or Emilio on your flank, you should be able to do decent damage with BBs. At least that's my experience with Coop.

What if Bad players have a higher win rate in Subs because Subs have less influence on the outcome of a battle than other classes ?
  4. Damned DDs and CA/CLs ! They are so OP in ABs ! WgPlzBuffBBs :edit: I remember some BB only Brawls, there wasn't much brawling tbh. Most BB players just want to shoot their big guns without having their paint scratched.

    Utter Frustration

No, these griefer should receive a penalty or a temporary ban if this bad behaviour repeats. Nonetheless, you still broke the rules - and afaik you also weren't punished for it. What point do rules have if they aren't enforced.

What do you think of Jager?

Yes, because the torps do very little damage, so you can hit many on a single target before it gets sunk. Though, usually, you want your target to get sunk asap - without needing 20 torpedo hits on a single ship to sink it.

Are you that ignorant ? You broke the game rules (and probably got away with it). :edit: Did you get any penalty for breaking the games rules ? I'm curious. (Since another forum member openly stated to breaking game rules and getting away with it.)
  8. From a BB perspective, Deadeye meta might've been great, but not so much for CA/CLS or gunboat DDs (in my experience). Most players just parked in spawn and played passive by default.

What do you think of Jager?

Not my cup of tea and not a big fan of this ship - I would go as far as to say I think this might be one of the worst ships tier-for-tier. Good concealment but no way to disengage; no smoke and too slow. If you get ambushed or a CV comes for you, it's game over. Guns are atrocious, might as well not be there. Even worse when kiting. Torps are shite simply because of the horrible low alpha (7.5k) - there are CVs with higher alpha on their torpedoes - and that's not even counting in the torpedo damage reduction that many ships have. I played it a lot in ABs (don't want to play this trash in Randoms). On average, my torpedoes dealt between 4k - 5k damage. That's simply not enough. The Jâger : - can't deal with enemy DDs (no guns, no smoke to hide in) - can't deal with enemy CV (no AA, no smoke to disengage) - can't deal with enemy CA/CLs (most of them have hydro and your torps don't have enough alpha) - can't deal with enemy BBs (lack of alpha on the torps) - probably can't deal with enemy Subs either I see no reason why anyone would play this ship over e.g. Yuugumo, Z-46, Fletcher, Chungmu ... all are better torpedo boats imo.
  10. Finnish man yells at <insert anything here>. Ah yes, and every ship will get this new consumable, it will be always active and it's definitely not an intended gimmick of the new line.

The average player is bad - regardless of the ship they're playing. I rather have a bad player in a mediocre ship than a bad player in a strong ship - the result will be the same but the missed (potential) influence is a lot higher with the latter. Most of the time, the liability is the player, not the ship.
  12. Not just specific ships ... remember the days of "Deadeye" ? The gameplay was more "campy" than it is now, at least in my experience.

But the I-56 is not a weak submarine; imo it can be very powerful when played well, but that's where the issue lies : the I-56 has a higher skill floor than most other Submarines (at least, in my opinion), it's more difficult to play it well. Like someone else mentioned, the Saipan is in a similar boat () : a strong CV in the right hands, but in the hands of a bad player it won't have a lot of impact - if any at all. As with many complaints - the issue is not the ship but the average potato player.

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

I disagree that caps are imperative in all Brawls. Getting / controlling caps can be a valid strategy, but in a 3v3 environment I think going for kills is a better strategy (though depends on map, ship composition, ...). Further, it looks like you're experiencing the glorious Wows playerbase; the average player is simply bad. No amount of complaining will make them play better, focus on your own play, and how you can benefit from these potatoes. e.g. a potato suiciding can give you some time to relocate, or get you shots you otherwise wouldn't have as easily. Furthermore, adapt your playstyle if you see your team is being overly aggressive or overly passive. If your team is hanging back and you have no support, don't rush in - even if it is what you would usually do or what would usually be the best tactic. There's no point in throwing your ship away and then blame your team for not being aggressive enough / supporting you enough. You can see the minimap, you can read the minimap; adapt, improvise, overcome.

So every ship that can be considered a liability, should not be picked ?
  17. I don't think you get a penalty on the already earned bxp & credits if your ship gets destroyed. Though, if you get destroyed, you won't be able to deal more damage or other stuff - so in a way it does affect your earnings.

  19. Pick a Pommern and go into Asymmetric Battles ? I did that mission in 5 games or so - of course you need some luck with bot opponents.

Btw, on a sidenote, I do like the idea of air-dropped smokescreens.
  21. unlocked the torp upgrades on Shima and Harugumo in ABs both ships worked fine imo - despite some players naming a "noob Shima"

tbh, how often were you in a situation where you needed more ship-launched DCs ? usually these engagements (ship DCs vs Sub) happen only a couple of times in a battle at most; so I don't think that availability of ship-launched DCs will be a big issue regarding plane-dropped DCs I can agree, as their availability is more important since they can be used more often in a battle (you don't have to be over the Sub to be able to drop it)
  23. In my experience, dropping fighters for defense is useful only against CV players who don't know what they're doing - and those would eat flak anyway so the fighters are not that needed. Regarding dropping fighters for spotting; that's useful if your teammates can A) actually make use of the information provided, and B) actually shoot and hit the spotted enemies. Like you've mentioned, a big part of the playerbase is really bad at this game; don't waste your fighters on them, be it defense or spotting.

maybe one of the designers is a die-hard Groningen / Halland / ... fan and wanted some extra use for the forward-firing DCs
