There's way too many Supershits anyway. 4 battles with T9 ships yesterday, each of them had Supershits - 3 of those battles even had four or more (!!!!) Supershits per team. [edited]these potato-proof abominations; imo they should lose Credits by default
-
Have Supershits not earn any Credits at all.

DD with Hydro dying to torps

TX ships don't have that dumb F-you button that most Supershits get OT: I have both Friesland and Groningen and I played / liked them a lot. I also have the F. Sherman but never bothered to play it in Randoms, only in Coop. Friesland/Groningen is (/was) great at cap contesting + it is a strong division DD (good smoke & hydro & AA). Can't tell how it fares nowadays since I don't play them anymore.
-
Sure their DCs are the easiest to use, doesn't mean they have to be the ones chasing / hunting the Submarine; most BB lacks the concealment and/or manoeuvrability for that. Imo most DDs suck at it since most DDs have no Hydro; kind of weird to have to hunt something you can't spot. (T-61 otoh ) Some Cruisers fare decent vs Subs, eg. my Gorizia usually has little problems with them.

Those Premium KM BB players are a special breed

I played a lot of T9, but the addition of the Supershits made me quit that tier. I guess each deals with them in separate ways - myself I play mostly Operations nowadays.
-
I've reset the PA CL line, and grinded through the Rahmat in Operations. Despite some players complaining about there being a T6 in the Operation, I haven't lost a single Operation with the Rahmat (not even Aegis or Hermes). Of course my damage output / influence would've been higher if I were in the Harbin - but what I noticed most is just how trash most T8 ships' players are. Imagine losing your Massa and Edin to the second wave in Newport Defense; or losing an Amagi and a Bismarck to the Clemson in Ultimate Frontier; or losing half your team in Aegis before the second wave is dealt with ... Same problems as in Random Battles; players suck at tier N, so they'll take a tier N+1 ship assuming they'll perform better. Repeat until the max tier is reached

A Kagero and Asashio div getting shitty MM to roam free and kill the enemy team - oh no
-
It's not like these "the games best players" played very well in these videos. Unless you consider pushing into / hunting Submarines with a Battleship as "best gameplay".
-
How about just not playing the Supershits ? People complain how broken they are yet those same people then pick a Supershit because they think it will make it better - somehow.
-
WG says this like this is supposed to keep the amount of Supershits low. Otoh, WG hands out Supershit missions for Steel, Coal, RPs etc. left and right. So many people complain about CVs and Subs - imo Supershits are worse.

WG is testing AA changes... interesting...
lup3s replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
imo this change could be in the good direction the squadron is split in a part "attack" and a part "rest", and some parameter decides to which part the AA damage is dealt e.g. you could make this 20/80 (atk/rest), and have something like def AA change this to 80/20 (atk/rest) this could make def AA more powerful again, and you could tweak these setting on a ship-basis (e.g. RN CLs have no def AA so give them basic 50/50 or something like that) i'm curious how this will go -
gunboat Asashio best Asashio

WG will balance CVs and Subs -
AEGIS is almost unplayable since it was reworked

Not sure if I understand this entirely. Why should he play solo, if he can play in division ? -
It helps to play Le Terrible and take all the aggro of the BBs
-
I think the solution is then rather sample : have same-tier matchmaking as highest priority, and relax with increasing queue time (e.g. after 2 minutes you get max 1 tier spread, after 5 minutes you get max 2 tier spread). It's annoying to get your T6 ship into a T8 Operation every [------] time.
-
Losing comes down to the players, not the ships. With just a small division of 3 or 4 players, most Operations can become a walk in the park - no matter T6, T7, or T8. How much damage you can do on a victory is more ship (and Operation) dependent, and of course a T8 should outscore a T6 in the majority of the situations. And yes, an idiot in a T8 ship is a bigger issue than a good player in a T6 ship. The good player in the T6 will still have a good performance, though indeed probably worse than if that player were in a T8 - it's an issue but not really a big one imo. The idiot in the T8 not only guarantees a T8 Operation (more difficult), but also wastes the influence the T8 ship can bring in the Operation - and this is indeed a bigger issue imo. You seem to forget that Operations aren't supposed to be T8-only; players should be able to play (and enjoy) their T6 and T7 ships in Operations, since it allows them to. If T6 ships really pose such a problem for T8 Operations, than MM should consider a one tier spread and not put T6 and T8 ships together.

Is only north Europe the ONLY Europe for WG?

"we decided to nerf the AA" -

Or they can play cautiously, take note of the primary and secondary objectives, and see how the Op plays out - and learn from it for a future Op. -
yes, DDs and T6s are so weak in Hermes - that's how we got a 5* victory on it earlier it even went so well that we sunk all enemies well before the Ruan was in the exit zone how about that
-
Me playing a T6 ship is fair play to others. And as stated before, I like playing some of the T6 and T7 ships; not my problem that MM puts me in a T8 Operation. MAYBE instead of me having to pick "the right ship", MM for Operations can be limited to one tier difference (i.e. T6/T7 & T7/T8).
-
I disagree that T6 ships are useless, but you'll have to carry your own weight more - with the Operation balanced for the T8 ships in your team. In the end it's (mostly) the player that counts imo. :edit: Also, I like playing certain T6 & T7 ships ... should I not play them anymore in Ops because they are perceived as weak ? :edit2: Example of what I meant that T6 aren't useless - and this even was a poor battle on my part since I died to the last ship of the 2nd wave, a Nagato OHK'd me through the bow.
