    Public Test 0.6.0 - Changes for Test 2

    If RDF will stay, I would like to have an option to go Radio Silent in my ships. Preferably as a default option / key (like the engine power or rudder shift keys, e.g. the B-key), but it could also be an extra consumable for every ship in the game that lasts for a decent amount of time (e.g. 3 minutes duration; 90s cooldown; 3 charges). The effects of going Radio Silent would be: - RDF won't be able to get your bearing. - You can't see ships you're not spotting yourself. - Your team can't see ships that are spotted only by you. - F-keys won't work.

    Economy

    Do you mean it needs to be harsher? T8 ships are credit farmers. T9 ships have a higher service cost, but you'll still gain(a lot of) credits. T10 ships have a very high service cost and should be a credit sink, but with a premium camouflage and/or premium account you'll still gain (a lot of) credits. Or so I've heard, I don't own any T10 ships yet.

    Probably the 'you' isn't directed towards me personally; but just to clarify: I don't approve this kind of play (i.e. camping at spawn, border hugging, not supporting allies etc.). I play aggressive (in ships that can), and most of the time I probably play too aggressive. BUT; if I were on low health or in a very light armoured ship (e.g. Atlanta), I will try to retreat (and survive) or use islands as cover (to stay alive or to shoot over them). I won't rush in to get sunk or get devastated by the first salvo fired at me. The Atlanta is quite good at lobbing shells over islands. Some might see this as camping (I've been TK'd once for doing this in my Atago while I was on less than 2k HP and my Heal Party was on cooldown), but I think of this as playing to the extent I can without sacrificing my ship and still having some impact on the battle. Btw, lemming trains can be effective if they keep on moving forward; but most of the time a whole lemming train is stopped by a single enemy DD getting detected... But.. you'd still move forward right? I just don't like you pushed that player out of his camping spot, only to take it yourself.

    Public Test 0.6.0 Feedback - New Skill System

    Most of the time a BB is suffering multiple fires, it's on the two superstructure compartments. Now they're combining these compartments into one, a BB will suffer multiple fires less frequent. And if you get unlucky and do get set on fire on multiple locations, you can more safely use your DCP as it's less likely to get set on fire on multiple locations again (unless you continue to get unlucky). Also, fire damage is Light Damage, so it's 100% repairable. I don't see the problem so many BBabies have with this 'OP HE-spam' and 'OP fire damage'. In my opinion, Adrenaline Rush seems most useful for armament with long reload times (i.e. torpedoes). Sometimes I finish a battle on less than 10% health in my DDs, and an 18% increase in torpedo reload time would be very nice. However it's quite situational so I don't know if it'll be a must-have on any of my DDs. I'll have to test this improved skill. BBabies won't be happy if I can 'spam' my F3s at them when I'm at 1% HP.

    Still not sure about Fire Prevention. Combining the superstructure into 1 compartment is still a HUGE buff. Also not sure about the nerf to SE, but the lower cost might make up for it. Exactly my reaction. I really don't know why this skill must be in the game. I don't like it. I don't want to spend skill points on it (but I feel like I have to in my DDs). I hate it.

    Sims; TA on the 9.2km torps?

    Hello, I got the Sims out of a supercontainer and now I'm wondering which torpedoes to use. The 5.5km ones just seem like suicide torpedoes at T7 (at lower tiers you can get away with it but at this tier you'll lose to much health). Only viable option is to wait behind island and try to surprise the enemy ship(s). The 9.2km ones seem okay at first, until I saw they only have a 49kts speed.. Which does give the enemy ship(s) a lot of time to dodge the torpedoes once they're spotted. Hence I thought it might be a good idea to spec my captain with the Torpedo acceleration skill, yes they will 'only' have a ~7.3km range, but at least they'll go a little faster (54kts). Any experienced Sims captains that have any experience with this?
  13. Imo it falls under the "Kill the enemies" victory condition. One of my fastest games won was because of this (lasted only about 5 minutes). Domination, enemy never captured a base, we sunk ~6-7 ships of theirs and round was over.

  15. Yes I've experienced this. If the enemy doesn't get any points (by kills or by bases), their score will can reach zero if enough of their ships are sunk. This is because when a ship is sunk, the opposing team doesn't only gain points for sinking it, but its team also loses points.

  18. I had the luxury of having VooDooZG on my team tonight. It was a Standard Battle; while I died defending our base, he capped theirs. Well done mate! And yes, I do hope WG will fix the smoke bug with the RN CLs (soonTM ). Btw, I'm still laughing with that Fubuki player on our team. At the start of the battle, I rushed towards the enemy spawn to spot as many ships as possible (especially their DDs). He 'asked' in chat: "Sims, do you want to die fast?". Guess who was among the first to get sunk on our team (and then blaming us for leaving him alone).

    Like I said before: 2) Higher HE damage will probably increase the usage of HE. And probably the amount of fires set on enemy ships. 3) You can't AND lower the amount of overpenetrations AND increase the penetration power of AP shells. If AP shells get higher penetration power, they will overpenetrate more. What?

    Don't underestimate the power of AP shells, even the AP shells of Destroyers can be punishing! If you get close enough to enemy Cruisers showing broadside, you can even hit their citadels

    Minotaur needs a nerf

    The same happened to me once when I 'deleted' a Minotaur with my Benson's puny AP shells at ~3 km. (he was focussed on something else; ignoring me and giving me perfect broadside ) Once I had sunk him, it apparently was because "I use cheats and aimbots"
