I agree with you on most of your post; but I did find the battles in R5-2 immensely more frustrating than in other brackets (mainly because I expected other players in the premier league to be at least somewhat decent... I couldn't grasp the amount of potatoes that were playing in the premier league). On point 9; I actually really loved Epicenter on Warrior's Path. Sailing my Shiratsuyu, I was almost always certain to win (because no one bothered to rush the centre circle to cap it, or spot enemy ships, so most of the time I had capped the centre circle asap). Control of the centre area has been proven critical for victory in most of my Epicenter battles on Warrior's Path.

Got a taste of Rank 2 after a 3 win streak, and I should've stopped playing then. After that, I got the same potatoes on my team over and over again, resulting in a 9 loss streak. And of course you can't get top XP in a Shiratsuyu when there's a Sims on your team. Result of the day: 12 games played, first 3 won, last 9 lost. -3 stars

You'd be surprised how many incompetent players there are in the Rank 5 to 2 bracket. Met one player (Rank 4) with over 600 Ranked Battles played... Literally losing your way to the top

At 70 battles, I was at Rank 3 with 4 stars; now (at 82 battles), I'm at Rank 4 with 2 stars. 21 Ranked battles played tonight, to only achieve a net gain of 2 stars... (I should have stopped playing when I started losing so much) So many frustrating crap. - Players with more than 400 Ranked Battles played and a WR below 50%. If you suck so bad at Ranked, don't play it and don't ruin other players' battles. - CV players with 45% WR with that CV in Random Battles. If you suck so bad with CVs, don't ruin other players' battles with them. - DD players not caring about caps. If you're going to be useless, do it in Random. - DD players that hunt the enemy CV from the start of the battle. If you're going to be useless, do it in Random. - BB players camping behind islands, not able to shoot at anything spotted. If you're going to be useless, do it in Random. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of all the frustrating crap I've seen tonight. It pisses me off.

Truth. Luckily the Fiji on my team was an amazing player (he rushed and devastated both enemy BBs with his torpedoes). After they were sunk, we hunted and sank the rest of the enemy team (we both had 3 kills in the end).

Sometimes I really don't understand what some players are thinking. Here we have 2 (full health) BBs camping at the border of the map, one of them even behind an island. Idiocy and cowardliness like this really grinds my gears.

I had an AS Saipan on my team today, who lost the air battle against a 'normal' Saipan. The enemy Saipan got Clear Skies and ours didn't... I really don't know how you can lose the air battle if you have more fighters and more fighter squadrons.

I had quite a rough day in Ranked; a lot of decent battles but any 'good' battle was a loss. At last I had a good battle that was a victory: Before going to sleep, I wanted to 'relax' with my CV in Co-Op... Wtf.

22 Ranked Battles played and I haven't lost a star yet. Had a great battle with the Belfast: 138k damage done, 16 times 'Defended' ribbons and about 2.8k base XP! Few battles later I even got 20 'Defended' ribbons.

Took a break of about a week and started playing again today. I also had a nice Ranked Battle with the Belfast.

Because 1v1 (without strafing or AA support), the Hiryu's 5-fighter squadron defeats the Saipan's 4-fighter squadron? + extra TBs, + DB squadrons I don't know why people would take AS Saipan. It's not that useful imo.

Last night I had the luxury of having 7th_Arm_Div on my team. It was an exciting battle and we both died trying to stop the enemy's final push, but in the end our team prevailed. I met him again the next battle, but this time he was on the enemy team. My team was filled with potatoes and it was a very one-sided defeat. (e.g. a Yamato that was reversing from the start of the battle, and a Takao with 40% total wr... ) Few battles later I also met eliastion. I had a godlike MM and our team was easily victorious.

it's already like this shooting down planes gives tons of XP, while doing damage not as much spotting should be rewarded more though
