Thank you, I was almost about to give up grinding the IJN CV line. I got my Shokaku yesterday so I was very happy I could finally sell the Hiryu. I have to disagree about the Ranger; I liked playing the strike Ranger (a LOT more than playing the Hiryu). But to be fair, I was also happy when I got the Lexington and immediately sold the Ranger.

I just hate those T6 TBs (the same you get with the Zuiho btw). Attacking any equal or higher tier ship will just result in all your planes being wrecked (especially BBs.. - except the Nagato). Get into a T8 - T9 battle; and you can't attack any of the enemy BBs / CAs. Even an Akizuki was able to shoot down 29 planes while I tried drop him (he was capping..).

I understand what you say; but then I have moments where I attack with 21 DBs against a BB that just used DCP, and I only hit 3 bombs, setting no fires (while his ship was almost entirely covered by the drop circle). Or attacking a ~200 hp DD with 21 DBs and not hitting a single bomb (while his ship was perfectly inside the drop circle). Or trying to set a fire; and not getting one even though you hit 11 bombs. And so on... Sometimes I just want to smash my laptop and crush my head against the wall.

BB's AA is OP. Just saying. The moment when you can't even attack equal tier (alone) BBs without losing all your planes; something is f***ed up. -

I try.. But when a Konig manages to shoot all 8 TBs down I'm just disappointed.. Yes I could sink him but it really wasn't worth a full strike of TBs.

Well I really dislike those T6 TBs... With strike Ranger i just sniped the enemy CV and no problems after that.. With balanced Ranger I just couldn't win. Glad I finally got my Lexi; strike ftw! :edit: After playing all night with Hiryu, I have to say... Hiryu is the most useless CV ever. Fuçk that ship. You can't even attack a T6 (lower tier) ship without losing all your TBs. Attacking a T8? Forget about it. Totally team dependent. I might as well be playing 6-0-0.

It really makes me detest playing the Hiryu. Atm I'm at T7 in both CV lines, and I like playing the strike Ranger a LOT more than playing the Hiryu.

The reason why I played strike Ranger. And in my experience it's far better than the 1-1-1 or AS loadout. (I had ~68% wr with strike Ranger; then I started playing balanced for mission with aircraft kills... my wr dropped to ~58% ) I even think the strike Ranger is better (and more fun) than the Hiryu. I Edited hate those T6 TBs (same TBs as you get on the Zuiho, 2 tiers lower!). This post has been edited by the moderation team due to swearing.

Any reason why the Hiryu (T7) gets the same TBs as the Zuiho (T5) ???

So which loadout should you pick as USN CV? -> pick strike and you have no fighters -> pick fighters and you can't do damage

2 captains with 19 points (Shimakaze and Belfast ) Couple of captains with 17-18 points. Nearly all other captains have 10-15 points.

So many choices at T6 (but probably Independence or Ryujo )

It's not the easiest ship to play but I have fun with it. Its AP is very potent; and with IFHE its HE is too. Atm I'm using PT + AR + DE + IFHE & CE. Also, don't forget to equip the speed signal!
